They cannot serve you a summons without you being notified about a verification of the debt.  Secondly,  they have nothing signed contract  to present against you in court.  Don't let them scare you. These are Scammers who are just trying to make big dollars off of little pennies.

Have received numerous calls from this number, from a Ms. Guinn, stating they have documents they are going to use against me in court for check fraud, harassing me for payment. I have not received any written documentation of this so called debt and they will not send anything. She keeps saying that they are not a collections firm but a group of attorneys who file with the local court system to take me to court for fraud if I don't pay. I believe that you are supposed  get written documentation in such matters when you ask for them.

Just ignore them.  When they find that they cannot scare you, they will stop calling.  I haven't heard anything since.

OMG, I got the same call today and they said the same thing. I'm glad I looked this up. After that new law has passed about tellamarketers cant call you! Sad

No I just ignored them.  Haven't gotten another call as yet.

Did you get court paper or did you have to show up in court.? Did the calls stop?

Got a call from someone I couldn't distinguish the name,  said she has my court documents that were sent back to her because they were filed within my Court district and no one was able to contact me.  She wants me to call her to verify my information so that she can return it to the Clerks Office.   About a few months ago, on Mr. Williams call with a different number really threatening me with Check Fraud and Breach of Contract.  He gave me a case number with my social as the last four digits.  I called him back and told him if he has something to send to me that he sends it to my address.  He called my job, my brother's phone and left a  message that he has to file a summons against me and that I should contact him immediately. The next day when I called him.  He said he already filed my papers within my court district.  SON OF A LIAR.  I haven't heard from him since.   Now MISS THING is calling.  Well let her keep calling....

 

Simply said,  they are low life,  sewer sucking, scammers and need to be shot on sight.

They've been calling me including family and friends that I will never put down as a reference. Stating my claim number and 2 legal matters that need to be address. Don't know how to stop them.

Sorry....I was so upset from the phone conversation I didn't proofread...The Ms. Gwenny got very defensive when I explained to her that these are fraudulent calls and it has been reported.

We just started getting a call from this number stating the person listed us as a primary contact and the person in question is wanted for two counts of fraud. When I called it back all I got was a first name of Ms. Gwenny, that got very offensive when I explained to her that this was a known fraudulent call and it has been reported to the local sheriff's office. I requested my number be removed immediately and I advised them not to call this number again or charges will be filed.
These types of calls especially for two counts of fraud or debt collection are handled through the court system with papers filed, so any phone call of this nature is fraudulent.

Unsure if this is legitimate.  They would only give me first names and listed my references as ex husband who i would NEVER list as a reference for anything
