This phone number is a collection agency. They make threatening calls saying you are going to get sued if you dont pay in 7 days. They tell you on the phone you owe one amount yet send you a letter with another amount. The letter they send you also has threats of being sued by an attorney. Then when you ask for all information on original creditors in writing they refuse. They also refuse to make payment arrangements. They want it all or nothing. When I asked to speak with a manager they put a woman on who doesnt give her name and then gets nasty with me. I called back and got another person who tells me the manager I spoke with is the owner.....The first 2 names I was given are John Anthony and Tony Walker. I believe these to be fake names.  It is illegal for them to threaten you with any type of legal action. 855-231-8415 CREDIT MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS IS A COLLECTION AGENCY THAT THREATENS YOU WITH LAW SUITS AND REFUSES TO WORK WITH YOU TO PAY OFF ANY LEGITIMATE DEBT YOU MAY OWE.

Have no idea who they are calling for.  Just a recording with a female voice stating she is trying to collect on a insufficient activity.  No mention who they are calling for.  It's just my husband and me at this number and we owe no one any money.

Female-sounding person with weird accent calls my daughter to inform her someone is filing "legal procedings 'againstYUH!" and that my daughter must call her back ASAP so that she can "advocate" for her.

The thing is, these people have NEVER been able to get a reply from ANYbody at my house because we owe them NOTHING, but they keep trying to come up with SOMEthing that will elicit a reply. IT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN, DUMBO! CHALK IT UP!

You really should at least learn a little basic English before you start criticizing anyone else. I've had sixth-grade students who spell construct sentences better....MUCH better, in fact. And they were not crudely insulting.

I have been getting harrassing phone calls and threats since before Christmas from several different phone numbers about a civil matter or returned check, and also a payday loan.I don"t know any thing about a returned check, tried for a payday loan, but was denied in 45 seconds, and know nothing about a civil matter. All the calls I recieved,I looked up on Googles and they all were fraud scams,so I have been blocking  the number every time they change their phone number. Now all the sudden I get a call again from this number855-231-8415.This is getting pretty old,fed up with this crap!

Received a message 2/23 from a Brian Andrews looking for my exhusband.  Have no idea how they got this number as we just moved out of state.  Didn't say what company he was with but gave a case # and said he would be making a decision.  Said he was with investigative services.  First thought it was the police, until I got on here.  I'm guessing it's a collection agency.  My ex owes everyone money.

I just got a call from this number who left a message on my voicemail saying he was scott adkins and he needed to talk to me about my stepmom (whom he said by name and knew my name) and that I was listed as her relative. And that he needed to speak with me due to trying to find her before he filed something at court house on her. And gave me a case number.

I just called this number back as they left a very disturbing voicemail about a pending civil lawsuit.  We have no credit card debt whatsoever, so I wanted to get to the bottom of it.  Turns out it is some type of credit management company, and they were looking for someone (he gave me the name) we have never heard of before.  Our phone number was provided by this consumer as a means of contact for himself, obviously bogus, as we have had this phone number for over 2 years.

I just got a call from this number at my Job. They were looking for an employee, but the name did not sound familiar. The Operator said that her name was Kaitlyn, and that she was given this number as an emergency contact number and that there was an emergency and that she needed to speak to this employee. I asked for the company name, but she would not give it out. She said that the person would know who she was, and repeated that she was given the number for emergencies and that there was an emergency. Then she said that she was retained by the employee in a legal matter. I asked if she was an attorney, and she just repeated that he would know who she was and that she needed to speak to him right away. I was finally able to get a number from her, and eventually I realized that the employee that she was looking for no longer works here. I let her know and told her to look for another number for him. I wanted to see what I could find out about the company, since she seemed so secretive and very annoying, and obnoxious. Thanks to this site, I realize that it was probably a collections company. Thank you!

What exactly are you defending when you owe a bill? The interest that you signed for? The purchases that you made? The other fees that banks add on the cards? Again that you signed for, they are ridiculous, however you did sign for them. When paperwork is sent over there has been several attempts to make arrangements and or settlements. The reason why it has gone to court is for the simple reason you just don't want to pay!

It is not a threat if the company has means to sue you, and if they own the paper. It is not a threat if they advise you that they can if you are not willing to work something out.

The pattern of complaints is consistent with a common fraudulent "payday loan debt collection" shakedown racket.

Debt collectors are required by FDCPA to mail you written notice of the alleged debt within 5 day of first contact, and to accept disputes, obtaining and providing validation (proof) of the alleged debt if disputed, or ceasing collection. Legitimate debt collectors will comply with the law, not make excuses for why they don't have to.

If your first contact makes threats of a "lawsuit", that tactic is commonly used to evade the FDCPA's dispute and validation provisions, attempting to extort payment on what may be an unowed debt.

It is also common for complaint threads against shady or fraudulent debt collectors to have deceptive posts, using the thread to further their deceptive and threatening tactics, while attacking the credibility of consumer posts.

If you are actually sued, you must be served a summons.  You must be sued in your own local county court, you have the opportunity to defend yourself in court, and you can use discovery to insist that the plaintiff produce evidence of the alleged debt.  Not receiving the FDCPA notification, and receiving no court papers, suggests that the "debt collector" may be acting illegally, using illegal threats while illegally evading providing any proof of the "debt".  It may be an indicator that the debt collector is fraudulently collecting on a "debt" you do not even owe.

Contact FTC and your state Attorney General to report violations.  If they continue to harass you, or otherwise violate FDCPA, you can sue them, so contact a consumer attorney.  You might try www.naca.net to find one in your state.

The OP didn't say they had ANY payday loans, yet YOU post a bunch of veiled threats, deceptively suggesting that debt collectors can just "garnish", or that it is dangerous to report illegal harassing or abusive calls, while discrediting the original complaint (as a what? deadbeat and drug user?) with no basis to know whether the complaint is not true.

You choose to make this deceptive post on this particular thread, associated with this particular phone number.  Maybe you work for them?

Shill.
