For two days straight, I received a automated call from 855-244-7206 at 11:56 a.m. telling me they received a formal complaing against me and my SSN blah blah blah.  Minutes later I received a call from a Ms. ______ (talked too fast to understand) from (garbled) & Griswald from 210-764-6282 telling me I need to call, or my attorney, more garbled speak then wished me the best of luck.  Told me to call 210-762-6845.  Funny, ALL numbers lead me to these reports and not actual business.  Just another POS that I need to report to the FTC and State's Attorney.

I have been receiving calls from 855-244-7206 and 724-252-2090 stating there is a fraud case against my name from 2011.  They call over and over again with a recorded message, when I called back the man was rude and stated they were sending me papers to my address. I stated...please do so my lawyer could see them!! The amount is huge if you don't take care of it, but if you settle today they only make you pay a percentage of it!! Tired of them!!

Just an FYI, I contacted the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau back in early May about this company.  They are still not able to contact this company or even get a response from them.   Please think twice before you tell them any information about you.

Good one.   These guys need to be burned.  Burned good.  Always going around acting like they are going to "file" what amounts to criminal charges against you, as if they were the DA or something.   As if an ordinary civil debt has been magically transformed into a criminal case.  Total nonsense but they just don't stop.

I said yeah but I don't have yo have checks....she said call her back with info...bow that I see all theses complaints I will gladly call her back, and ask for validation of this said debt...and at that point she can kiss my a$$... Why is this said company waiting 7 years to supposedly send me to court...im not that dumb...plus I wouldn't pay them nothing....so 855-244-7206  will be hearing from me TODAY!!!

217-917-4902 called me. I did not answer because I did not know the number. They left an automated message saying, They have a formal complaint against my name and Social Security Number and wants a statement of intent. They left some sort of number as to reference the complaint. It was a seven digit number, I wont leave the exact number but it was something like this for example: 6954455.
And they left a number for me to call 855-244-7206

I received a call and message that someone has filed a formal complaint against my name and social and they wanted to obtain a statement of intent regarding the matter. I don't go out, I don't have friends cause I do my own thing. I also pay everything in cash and keep the receipts so the only way they had my social is from work or from the IRS, both of which I doubt gave them my info. So when I noticed them calling back, I started answering the phones like a sex phone operator...stopped them from calling ;)

Good for you!

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

?is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
?refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
?asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
?exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:

?Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.

?Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.

?Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.

?Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.

?Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

We constantly get calls from these people that they have a claim # against my SS# and state that they will proceed with legal action if someone is not called back by the end of the day.  One message even states that they want the number of my employer. The call back number is different than the number they call from.   I owe no one. To add insult to injury they are addressing the call in my maiden name which I have not used in over 30 years and never even had any credit back then.  I called back the 1-855-244-7206 number because I was so tired of them calling and threatening.  The person on the other end answered "Hello" instead of using company jargon.  I busted them. I asked him if he was the idiot making threats on my answering machine,  I asked if him if he knew that it is against the law to leave the messages that he did which included threats.   I think the guy was crying when I was done with him because he got dumped on for all the fools that made me mad lately.  He kept saying that their machine was broken and glitching and I replied that it is unacceptable and that he represents whatever scam and he is to be held accountable personally and that I am going to prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law for threats, that as soon as I hang up that I am forwarding the information to my father-in-law who is a member of the State Police force.  I told him that he picked on the wrong person.  So tired of these scam artists.  It is my phone which I pay for each month and I will be darned if I am going to allow people to threaten me or abuse me on my dime.  I turned them over to the State Police and the Attorney General's Office.  If they are legitimate debt collectors, they are not allowed by law to disclose on an answering machine the purpose of the call, let alone threaten you or notify your employer.

And they're also claiming that it was sent to the bank that has been close now for at least for five years so not sure how it's possible for me to have alone on an account at a bank that has been closed.

Strike one I already knew it was not a business and it was a scammer. So I proceeded to ask who she was and she replied  Shenika. I proceeded to say Shenika from  from where? she replied A and R Recovery. I stated to her does not ring a bell. So  She said well we are filing fraud charges against you for a unpaid pay day loan for Money and More. I said well...well...well... yall just wont stop I already knew it was a scammer. She proceeded to say we sent papers to the address we have on file and we taken you to court. I stated to her that is not my address Dumb A**. I proceeded to ask questions about there company.So the bi*** said and if you don't pay by 5 we taken you to court for fraud and serving you. I said first bi*** I don't pay to anyone that I don't have a validation of debt with you must think I'm that stupid 2. you must not watch the news cause we know about these schemes and I work for the government 3. I know this number is a scammer number and I aint paying nothing. So she proceeded to say we are not scammers I said yes you are Bi***!! I said serve me Bi*** I will be waiting along with the local Police I guess you will be at the right place at the right time Idiot. He said you are officially served. I said great come to my neighborhood and talk that s***. Besides you may not make it out .Somebody needs to stop these idiots. I'm fighting for the ones who got scammed. Don't be a victim, and let them scare you they are breaking laws. No legit company will do that at all. Its time to fight back and not let these b*****ds get away with it. Besides the FTC already knows about this company and number because when I called my Lawyer, FTC and the Local Police they stated it was a scam. Don't pay anything if you gave them a credit card which I did not they stated cancel it and stop answering calls. Which I did.

Same robo message on my voicemail I called back and he claimed to be a citation officer.  I said good luck buddy I wasn't born yesterday, if you want me to take you seriously show up at my house with a summons to court.  My credit is squeaky clean and this is the second call I've gotten in 2 years.  He was very hostile and very threatening.  Wouldn't let me speak.  I'm sorry but debt collectors or court officials don't talk to you like that! How can they expect anyone to take them seriously?  He even changed who I owed money to in the middle of the conversation.

I got a robo call from this company too. I called backa and asked why they were calling..they said they were trying to collect on an old payday loan that I actually just paid off with another company. This was like the fourth "company" trying to call me and tell me I owe money for this payday loan -- why do they all have the same information ??? Unbelievable how so many companies could have the same info - ridiculous!!!
Anyway I told him to stop calling me. I asked for his name and address and said I would be sending them a letter I have from the other company saying it is paid off. He sounded annoyed - oh well - his loss...these people are beyond annoying!

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010  FBI National Press Office
(202) 324-3691

? filed under: Press Release

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim?s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims? relatives, friends, and employers.

No - per the FDCPA, it's the DEBT COLLECTOR who has to send proof of debt/proof they have the legal right to collect.  The alleged debtor doesn't have to prove anything - per federal law!  It's very simple for the DC to send proof if they have it!
