Whomever said this is real and people should just pay their bills. We'll, last time I checked most 15 year olds don't have any debts to collect. So, the fact that I have two teenagers that have been getting these same calls on their cell phones just proves they are a scam.

They Spoof your local police or courthouse on your Caller ID, to make you afraid. Technically, that is a misreprsentation of a material fact, and violation of the FDCPA. They threaten legal action!  Ha, these morons couldn't cross the street without getting run over. (Oh, by the way since when do the Police get involved in Debt Collection)

The idiot who calls says he has papers but can't find you. He has legal papers to deliver. Sure he does! But, he leaves one opening for you to call immediately, to rectify the matter.

These people are true A-holes. Geez, maybe that's why they don't list their address or fax number. They don't want you to validate what they are calling about.

Don't talk to them , don't give them any information, and let them sue you. The burden of proof is on them not you.

i got a call from a process server stated that they were scheduled to serve me with papers i called the number that they gave me and they stated i owed a bill for a payday loan i do remember this and i avoided it....the next day someone did show up and asked me sign for papers i immediately called there again and asked them for help they notified the county and called the server i got to take care of it before i had a court date luckily so if you think its not true i am living proof.......pay your bills and this will not happen .............thanks C.L.R  for the help..

They have been calling any number associated with my name they made a mistake by calling saying their in Oklahoma so when i callled the number they called me from it was the Sherrif departments number and they told me not to give them a penny due to 1-855-244-7966 has no connection with them so I have saved all my call logs and threats... and so has my dad this been going on for over a year... I see there located in NY

Got 2 calls telling me to call this phone number, however, both times the caller id showed up as 2 different numbers. I called those numbers back and they were police departments in 2 different states.  Saying I am being charged with internet fraud and identity theft etc....called the number the first time and they said I took out a payday loan 6 years ago and if I pay now, i wont have to go to court etc. couldnt' give me my bank name only my name and estimated birthdate.  Said he was investigator Farley from Fraud Investigations.  Anyone else getting these.  I didn't call back the second time because I thought it was fraudulent.

Keep getting calls from this number, now my family gets call from this number for no reason, will not stop calling even after told to stop.

Got a call from this number says I owe money for a payday loan.  Called my moms house and stated he would be here in a few minutes to serve me papers.  havent seen him yet.  Have researched the company cannot find and address only some website that looks bogus.
