Its not really HUD just a company that deals with HUD homes, the government itself does not telemarket and I agree with Stanley about forcing you to provide phone,email info just to surf without giving you a choice to opt out... I signed in at allhud.com and started getting calls right away. if you check out the site the diclaimer reads  in part
'ALLHUD.com is a private company not affiliated or associated with or endorsed, authorized, approved, sponsored or licensed by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development'

This is why I bought a pre paid cell and keep it active for about 10.00 a month and use that number specifically for sites like this or other places I know they will harrass or sell my personal info. I also have a secondary Email for the same reason  I only give my real number or Email out if I do want more info. has worked very well for a number of years.

I went on line to look at foreclosed homes available in my area and I had to list my phone number to get the information.  As stated in other posts this is a call from HUD...They have called me twice today without leaving a message on my voice mail.

It's a HUD number, when you sign up for HUD foreclosures they require you to give a number.  Could be "Christine" had this cell number before you, or picked a random number when she signed up (which happened to be yours).

Kept getting calls from these people, they were leaving messages for a person I didn't even know!  I finally called them back the the lady who I spoke was really nice and said she would take me off their list.  Haven't gotten another call from them almost weeks later.......

I also have been receiving calls from this number.  HUD  should not be calling me for anything either.

This number popped up on my cellphone today.  No voicemail so I googled the number to find out who it was.  I see others who have been called by this number too, saying it is HUD.  I have never went on the HUD website to sign up for anything.  This is a relatively new cellphone number too.  Irritates the poo out of me.

If you did not sign up for HUD, you are probably receiving a call from them because many people probably leave a bogus phone number and they happened to use your phone number. HUD requires you to put a number in if you sign up. Hope that helps.

I keep getting random calls from this number but I let it go to voice mail. They don't leave any. When I answer though, they sound really far away.
