I seem to remember a law in the state of Florida that is not well known, it has something to do with if a telemarketer or debt collector calls you and you request that they do not call any more and you document your calls, after 3 more calls you could sue them and receive as much as $1500 plus expenses. The only problem is  finding some of these @55#0l35. If you tell them that when they call and tell them this is call #3 (no matter if it is or not)  and start singing i'm in the money they usually hang up and don't call back.  or like one of my friends did wait til they are in the middle of their bull5#1+ and blow a whistle really loud into the phone.

Seems as if I erred when we were house hunting on Craigslist.  Once I realized that this was some type of predatory organization it was too late. They now have my home # and call daily.
They are now in violation of the DNC laws, so I guess I will have to file the complaint and get them fined.
I worked for a company that made endless outbound calls to people who requested information.  I was able to add a number to our internal DNC list.  In fact, I was given a table that lists by state how long you may call a person, and three months is the max.  Non compliance is a huge issue.  Grow places to complain are to the Federal DNC list.  The second is to file with your State's Attorneys General Office.  You are likely to get a better response from the State.

This is why I use a Google phone number.  I blacklisted them. Now they hear the sound of a fax machine or a baby screaming, I forget which, when they call and I never get bothered.

Leaving messages like this does no f****ng good nor does filling complaints

This man using the name Joe Lane or Joseph Lane has violated many FDCPA laws and regulations, including but not limited to:

-Contacting family members repeatedly, revealing personal information to them, telling them I will be arrested for fraud, and also not honoring their requests for him not to call again
-Verbal harrassment (personal insults, threats)
-Refusing to provide company name/address
-Not honoring a request for written correspondence
-Not honoring a 'do not disturb' at work request
-Refusing to validate the 'debt' he was/is trying to collect

First of all, when asked for his company name and address, Joe Lane refused to give them to me and said unless I give him my credit card or bank account information over the phone he would not fax or mail me correspondence regarding the debt in question or give his company name or address. He's been calling my place of employment 3-4 times per day, and when I asked Joe Lane to be contacted in writing Joe Lane said no, he will continue calling my work. Joe Lane then hung up on me, and then called back within 10 minutes later to make it clear he was not honoring my verbal request for written correspondence.

I told him that I've never owned a credit card and I would like to see what documents on he has regarding the debt. Joe Lane then began threatening to call my family, my job, recited my social security number, told me that my parents raised a coward and told me that I wasn't a man unless I agreed to pay this mystery debt.

I hung up on Joe Lane and apologized to my employer. I spoke with my father and it appears Joe Lane called him and told him I had committed fraud, and would go to jail unless he gave Joe Lane his credit card over the phone. Luckily he had not done so. I had to calm him down and explain what this con artist/collections agent is trying to do.

I have filed complaints with the attorney general (NAAG.org), the FTC (ftccomplaintassistant.gov), and the CFPB (consumerfinance.gov), and also the local police department in Tonawanda, NY (716) 692-2121. I suggest if he is harassing you or anyone you care about, you should report him as well.

Yep, I signed up for a free webinar from Brad Donovan that never happened. I also gave information in order to register for the phony session. After that, this guy called. I asked him if there was a fee and he said he didn't know. I also apid an upfron fee for another place that had fake pictures of houses available. After I paid the fee, there were no houses. I'd be happy to find a rent to own referral service that  isn't a scam but there are too many  taking advantage of people  trying to recover from difficult times. (I noticed it's the same with online tech services).

there is an app on your phone that named "Call Control" add any numbers to the black list that you don't want to call you and they will not be able to get through to your number. I twill cut them off as soon as the phone gets ready to ring.

I, too, responded to an ad for a rental home on Craigslist, which I found to be a scam.  This individual did not leave a message and I will not try to contact now that I know this is what it is.  For the record, I am on the Federal DNC list for mobile phones and will prosecute if this number continues to call.

filled out some ad for housing not they are caling twice a day.  do not fill in that add - they will bug ya.

I received a call yesterday from them and wanted all kinds of personal information. I too signed up for rental homes and received a call from Andy. I do not give out personla info on the phone so my answers were generic. I thanked him and told him I would not need their service. Beware of this company!!

Started calling, no message left. One of the adds i filled out for home that was a scam.

As most people here say, it must be from signing up for a list of rent to own houses from a CL ad. I signed up online yesterday and got my first call today. It must be a machine that pinpoints when the client (sucker) answers the phone so they can call with a salesman at a later date. The call was dead air when I answered.

I just called them. he asked if I was still looking for a home, I said no he hung up. another thing that works is telling them you have no job and are not likely to be getting a job any time soon

When they call and ask for john smith or whatever name they are asking for, tell them they have the wrong # and you don't appreciate being "harrased" by them looking for the person in question

they just called and asked for me, i asked who was calling and they hung up.  I have been look for a place to live no telling where it came from yet.

The next time they call you,   tell them that,  Or purchase a call blocker.   No one here can help you.

I want the company from phone number  855-255-0448 to stop calling me.

I have received a call from this number twice a day for the past two weeks. No messages left. What I've done on my cell is to save the number in my Contacts as "Telemarketer". I have never had any luck with the National Do Not Call Registry. It is a waste of time. I have been looking for home rentals for awhile now. Some others here have had real estate inquiries, so this scam may be related to this. I'm just hoping that, like most other Telemarketers that I have listed, that they will eventually go away. There doesn't seem to be much of anything else that we can do, but if anyone has any other suggestions, that would be great!  Thanks!

They have not stopped calling me and I tracked it down to the webaite and asked them not to.  What do they do call me an hour later.

got a call from this number 2 times today said they were calling about a rent to own house listed in port orchard wa talked to 2 people first was a guy named kevin the second was a lasy named witney raydon call back nimber was 855-255-0448. wanted ssn,cc#,and bc# to finish the credit check said there company was owner wise any info
