I just got a call from 773-801-5414. I didn't answer because I didn't know who it was. It took 10 mins for the voicemail to show up my phone. Long story short it was some place called Allgate Financial trying to collect a debt... They left a phone number (855) 255-4238 and it direct you to put in an ext... This is crazy! Random calls to people are not a good thing. Get the correct number for the person that your trying to reach and maybe you will have some success as a company!

You don't need a valid debt or a derogatory trade line on your credit reports to be hassled by debt collectors. They call third parties to alleged debtors all the time for permitted skip tracing purposes, or often pretending it's a trace to annoy and shame an intended target whose location is already known.

Collection calls at 08:00 in your time zone may be distressing but federal law makes them legal, unless state law or a notice from you says different.

Rec'd a call from this#, 8AM today...did not answer, as I never do with unknown #'s, especially no-name caller ID...did a google on said#, led me here. So, here is my input.

Called back to see who would answer, voicemail for a finance company....I am 64yo, have no debt, no credit cards in my name, house paid off...I owe NOBODY a dime...why are they calling me????

And at 8AM....

Came across caller id as 630-318-4609.  Says it is from a debt collector...called back...no one answers...

im not calling it back since I was not the person they were asking for in the message.
I don't answer numbers I do not know and have signed up with google voice so that I can hook my cell to the google voice and BLOCK these types of callers!!
Why call from one number and give me another to call back!

I just received a message from these folks on my office phone.  Don't have a clue about this, or any of the other jerks that have been calling me.  I spoke to an attorney and he said that even if you happen to answer the phone my mistake you should just tell them that per your attorney you don't have to talk to them at all.  Just tell them to remove the number.  I've gotten to the point that if I don't recognize the # and it's not in my directory on my cell I just delete the call.  Don't bother listening to the message.

They left a computerized voicemail saying my name incorrectly but it was cut off without a number to call back or what it was about. After reading the other reports, I'm glad I didn't receive the whole message!

I do not have outstanding debts (but my ex-husband of 15 years does!) so they should not be calling me, especially since my last name has been changed for 12 years.  I'm sure it is an old, sold and resold credit card debt.  Like, 15 year old debt.

They also call using 405-463-4561 with a canned message

I received a collection letter from them.. something from Household Finance.... never heard of the company.  Telling me I owed over $6000 for something and they don't know what it was and that i had to prove it wasn't my debt.  I told em that there was no way I way going to pay any of it cause I didn't know who they were, not did I know anything about that debt.  And as they could provide me no information about the loan at all.

This is one of those companies that buys out old loans/bad loans and try to get people to pay.  Even if the loans are not legit.

I received this message on 2/20/12 via my voicemail and tried contacting them on 2/21/12. I got an automated message with music giving me their business hours Mon-Fri/8am-5pm/CT and they had an option for me to leave a voicemail message (I didn't). On my voicemail they said that they are trying to collect a debt (indicating that I owe them or someone else). This is not true. The following is their conatct info I Googled:

This company is harrassing me and trying to collect money from me for reasons I do not know why. I would like assistance to stop their harrassment ASAP or information on how to do it myself.

Calls multiple times per day.

Just got a call from 855-255-4283 answered and all i got was music,  said hello 3 times still nothing, i hung up

just found out that 855-255-4283 is a bogus number, invalid what gives???

got a call from that number, the message was garbled and fuzzy and i could not even figure out the name of the person they were looking for.  called the number to report that they had called the wrong number, and i got a recording  and to use the ext number, waited for the rep to get online and they never did, they cut me off or just hung up on me, the number does not work,  what kind of crazy outfit is this ????  if they ever call me again they had better have a good reason for calling.

message asked if you are not the person they are calling about, to please call back, tried to call back and got message to enter extension or wait for next available rep, so i waited...got message again...then busy signal....if they want us to report they are calling the wrong number the number they leave should work.......we are doing them a favor wasting our time since we are not the people they are looking for and then they don't even give a working line

I have received one voicemail and a call. The voicemail was very bizarre, everything was clear except the name of the person the message was for, it wasn't me that was for sure, the name was not even close. The second was a call when i picked up they person hung-up.
