This is a scam and asked me to call back!! Yeah right!! Let reported to the police!

i just got a call from 1 855 256 5116 also like 5 mins ago about this gas bill from 2006 but i moved and 2005 call him on the fact he was calling from a land line and he ask me if i was on any meds lol i was like no you must be tho he put me on hold so i hung up

Got a call from this number saying the same thing, but I know it's a scam as I pay off all my bills when they come... so it's not possible I have debt unpaid/

Thinking of starting a class action about this person to whom has my wife and I on an auto dial system, we get calls evey 3 days and we are debt free. I can afford a lawyer and am really thinking about getting one as our number is unlisted. As we are not the only people out there being hasseled by this person (s) We have even tried to put in a harassement blockage from our phone service provider, they change their number. Why should we change ours?

Message for "this cell".  Threatened legal action.    The reason I left Sirius radio is cause of the marketing tactics.     The triple repeat of their number at the end of the schpiel and you MUST call today.      I can't take people 'sirious' who treat me like an idiot and tell me the number 4 times in the message.     Btw yards, pressing 11 rewinds in case I didn't catch the number the first 3 times!     I'm so ticked I missed this call,   I need to make another telemarketer hate their job.  

It's now a standard habit for to not answer unknown  / 1.8** callers.  There message was the same with have your lawyer blah blah contact.  Seemed very shady but thank you eeebee for the comments posted.

I keep getting calls from them telling me to call mr steimbergs office @1-855-256-5116, the call originates from 1-902-442-7738
They say that if I don't get in touch with them they will start legal proceeding due to a contractual agreement that I have not fullfilled.

I've had these calls before and not once received the papers - more of a scare tactic.  You were like "dave" was nice - my person wasn't.

Got a threatening message saying that their office had tried several times to contact me and their client has instructed them to proceed with legal action.  I had to call or have my lawyer call before the end of the day or I will be served on Tuesday.  My husband returned the call and spoke a David and when he asked what it was about, it was for an old debt.  He was very vague and it took my husband 3 times to find out they were a collection agency.  They were willing to make a deal on the $6700 debt for $3000.  But my husband, when he found out they were a collection agency and that NCR paid for this debt as a third party.  In Alberta, third party can try to collect, however, you are undr no obligation to pay the third party, because your contract is between you and the original lender.  Best advise change your phone number to unpublished.  I will post next Tuesday to let you know if any legal docs get sent to me.
The person my husband spoke with was very polite, maybe they are changing their tactics, however, they answered the phone with, please hold and then, hello, can i help you.   Definitely not a law firm.

Each time I read a post where someone defines a call that they received and then follows with  "What should I do"  "Should I be worried"     I just get a funny feeling about the legitimacy of the posts.....But on the oft chance that these are on the up and up,  may I suggest that instead of seeking guidance here,  you call Summitt Energy direct....and when I say direct,  I don't mean the 1-855 number either. I mean their regular local business number,  even if it is LD and inquire by initiating the call yourself.   If that 1-855 number is the only way that you can contact a business,  then you don't need to be calling them or shilling here...

I have also got a call from them. Saying I should report to them in the next 24 hours about our bill from Summitt Energy. Mr. Bloomsteen is the name that I'm supposed to contact. I dunno...  :S

Mr. Bloomsteen wants me or my lawyer to call back in 24 hours. This is the third time in a month that they have called...??

I got it as well reporting some breach... did call for curiosity and got put on hold with elevator music and some pre recorded message to inaudible to hear.  Ridiculous.

Yeah I got it too - twice! I did call back though and got just a voicemail from a single name recording like Joe!

harassing phone calls of legal action does not verify it is.

Same recorded message  - looks like we are all going to have legal action against us :(

Just called me and threatened me with a law firm 'kluckstein'. Asked for me or my lawyer to contact them in the next 24hrs or legal action will be proceeded.
