One "human" is monitoring several autodialers.
If somebody picks up their phone, all other dialers are ignored or hang up, so the "human" can talk to the sucker.

Me too. Got 2 calls. They hang up, no message left. Why do they call? Dont get it.

Yes,got 2 calls quite rather recently,but missed them both & don't have an answer machine hooked back up still. Sorry no help here,but currently UN-willing to call back to ask them what's up? Plus--at least now you know you're not quite the ONLY one..."Kyra".
