Received harassing phone calls at my home and work stating that if I didn't pay asap they would send someone to "get" me, also using foul language.   They called back to back for almost an hour until I finally had to threaten them legal action.    Everytime apply for an online payday loan I start to get these phone calls.  I think is is ridiculous that these people pray on those of us that are already struggling. These people must be stopped.

I got the same call at my job they called 15 times in 1 hour I called back Marvin answered I told him this was a business and the person they were looking for did not work here and if they called again I would contact local sheriffs dept he stated he would take our number out and they would not call again

Got a call from this number yesterday.  Called my job 5 times.  Says his name is Norman Cooper.  Well, Norman Cooper sounds like he's from the Fiji Islands or some other foreign place.  Left rude message to my co-worker who just happened to answer the phone.  Who are these nitwits and why do they have so much time on their hands???

I just received the same call from a guy named Marvin who claimed to be a Paralegal from USA Cashnetwork. They had my social securtiy number and knew where I worked. These people are very rude and harassing. This needs to stop.

The same number and same guy called me.  Have they called you since you spoke to them? And what have you done ? Just left it alone ?

I been receiving calls from a guy names Daniel smith saying I never paid a loan back which I never recieved . And that their company was suein me. They say they are taking me to court and I will be arrested. I asked to speak to his manager and he hung up on me. When he called he said he was from the investigation department. I see I am not the only one who has recieved this call.

Man named "Neal" and supervisor called "Raymond Scott" claim they are with the Bureau of Criminal Investigation - Department of Criminal Justice.  Claim money is owed and it is a "legal" matter.  Call from other 855 area code numbers and have called over 200 times in three hours.  They are harassing and awful people who the police say are calling from out of the country and somewhere in Germany.

This "company" is trying to extort money from it's victims. We had a staff person apply for a Pay Day type loan - they are now using her personal information to harass her and our company trying to get us to pay them off. They will call the same number using 6 incoming lines.

The best way to get them to stop is to forward their calls back to the 855 number and let them talk to themselves. They get annoyed with this and stop calling. It takes up a few phone lines for a while, but it is worth it.

These scammer's do have the personal information like Social security numbers of the victim. Tell the target victim to notify the credit bureau's immediately and follow the Identity Theft guidance on the FBI.gov website. They may need to make a local police report to have a report number for the credit agencies to prove fraud if the information is used illegally.

These are an Indian scam ring operating out of India.  There is not much anyone here in the US can do.
Just don't even talk to  them and don't be intimidated by their threats.  They can do absolutely nothing.
Inform your employer of this scam,  which most already know about by now, and tell them to go to hell when they call.  Better yet,  don't even talk to them.

my niece just received ne of these calls at her work.   Same thing, Mr. Smith kept screaming at her on her work phone and then called on her ccell phone.  Threatened to have her arrested for a payday loan from 4 years ago (she was a minor then and did not work) and stated that she was to pay $15,000 now due to late fees and collection fees.  THISIS A SCAM.  Contact an attorney, report them to the FTC and  ost importantly, notify your bank and place an alert on your credit report with all 3 bureaus stating to not extend credit without your prior consent and list your best contact #.  Whatever you do DO NOT pay them!

This number called me at my place of work and wanted my payroll information, repeated my ss# and bank act number too. I did not confirm if that was it. They called my over a 100 times from 8am - 3pm today alone. They harrassed me, my co-workers, even my manager. I called my local police department and the officer called them back and they got smart with him and wouldnt give him any information. They kept saying that I was gonna be arrested, have a federal law suit against me, just kept saying that I had to give them my payroll department number and who to speak with for they cangarnish my wages.  They first said that they name was Dan Richardson, then Donald, then Marvin Block and last Raymond. They even told the police officer to get lost and they can not stop them from doing what they are doing. They also said they were with United Haelth care, Us Cash Credit, Cash Advance, checkngo, and Cashnetusa

Brad Nelson  with an India accent call my home and threatened me with some kind of legal action being taken against me and if I didn't call him back, or my attorney, that it would be out of his hands and that I may lose my job.

He also call me at work and after I politely told him not to call me at work and hung up, he called back repeatedly for over an hour and tied up all 5 of our phone lines.  

My boss did call the phone company, had a trace put on the calls and per the phone company reported it to the authorities.  We were told there wasn't anything they could do at this point.

Please let your manager/HR Dept know that you're being harassed by foreign scammers.  You may wish to have your police liaison write up a formal complaint to give to your work, if that would help.  Print up this forum thread as well to give to your HR Dept.  You can't help that you're a victim of scammers - and you're not the only one either.

Please do report the calls to the FTC, the FBI and your state's Attorney General.  You may also wish to contact the three credit agencies (Experian, Equifax, TransUnion) and your financial institution(s) and have them place fraud alerts on all your accounts (since you said they had all your personal information).  Funny how they claim you owe $10,000 and yet the maximum amount you would be allowed for a payday loan/cash store loan would be at least $9,000 less than that.

I just got the call from "Norman Cooper" and Mr. Cooper speaks a horrible English. I applied 3 weeks ago for an online payday loan and it was a nightmare, even though I did not get the loan.

I have been harrassed for the last 2 months. Even more so in the last week. They are get people's info from their online applications. I am now going to the cops because they are calling the phone numbers that I use in my application. How is it possible for this company to get away with this. They are now calling from 3 different numbers, but one of the numbers they are calling from are has over a year worth of complaints.

Please go to the police, with your phone logs and, record your conversations with these crooks. It also a good idea to call your local representative with this proof. These kinds of scams do not get any attention from the people who can do anything until there is an uproar of complaints, directed at those people.

The Daily News would also be a good place to complain.

This number kept harassing me at work. Kept saying I was going to be arrested and that the police are coming for me. Called me over and over and over again. Left me threatening voicemails at work.

They are the same group who uses the phone number 855-246-5424.  They have heavy accents, almost from India or similar, and use American names.  They have the same fraudulent line and same character.  Watch out for this number, too.

I had Dan Richards (fictitious name of course) with a foreign accent of some kind, saying he is from US Cash Advance, and from the legal department.  He even stated the name of the company I work.  He wanted to place me on hold to get another person on the line; so told him that my attorney has his number..so I hung up. Two minutes later he called my cell phone and did not answer.  This is not the first time; as I recall the same voice with a different name and firm.  Yes they are very rude and aggressive.

OMGosh!!! Me too but for my co-worker no way in the world this foreigner could have such an American name as Norman Cooper.  I even asked are you for real?

I just want to scream!!!  These people from Us Cash started calling my house saying I owe money and they were going to send the police to arrest me.  I do not owe these people any money.  I called the police who told me to block the number(s).  I did that. Now they are calling my job.  I am so embarrassed.  They called about 20 times in one day.  I even had our police liaison speak with them.  Barry Cooper is rude and does not speak English very well.  I am so frustrated about this.  Something has to be done.

Scam, because I did consult with the family attorney.  She advised either "block" the call on cell or push reject on cell phone.  Work phone - turn over to your attorney to have him/ her call back.  Home phone - let go to voice mail or block if you can.  This person claims to be Brad Nelson.  They are not from the United States, even though the phone numbers will trace back to US.  My atty. has assured me that NO ONE can be arrested, etc. for a debt collection, especially from a loan/payday loan.  Recently applied for several car loans since my car was totaled - do not have "loan" with this company - BUT companies sell your info to other companies and that is how these people get it - most likely.  I never answer calls from unknown numbers plus it is also illegal for them to be leaving your personal info on a msg/voice mail - what if that is no longer your cell or home phone?  Always check numbers and reports in places like these before taking any action.

I've received calls from this number and several others regarding "fraudulent checks" and a "loan that I took or is under my social and never paid back". If you get a call from these people DO NOT give them any money and DO NOT let them intimidate you. These people use scare tactics to scam people out of money. However DO NOT take them lightly either one of the callers had all of my info...name, social, DOB, bank account #...they had it all. Please take preventative measures. I changed my account #s and put an alert on my credit profile. Another suggestion...tell them you know it's fraud. They'll get angry with you and probably curse a little before they hang up bit they move on to someone else and stop calling you.

this is the biggest scam I've ever heard of. These people are very rude and when they're called out on it they hang up on me. They just keep telling me that they're going to come to my job and arrest me for money that I owe up to $10,000 that I supposedly took out which in fact I've never been to a Cash Store in my life. But what's scary is they know where I work my social security number my email address and my phone name. I called the local police department and the lady told me it was a scam that they want you to pay with a green dot card because its not traceable. So I call back to let them know that and I know it was a scam and they would just hang up on me.today I called back again to tell them to take my number off the call list and I remember talking to me yesterday and I could hear other people in the background yelling on the phone to other people that I just want my money! All I want to do is jump through the phone and kick the s*** out of this beat these people! Not to mention their Indian with names like Justin Dave Greg but barely speak proper English it just baffles me! I would never pay these people money and I feel sorry for the people that believe that they all this money and pay it!

the name of the company is US Cash Network, I blocked my number from coming up and called them back.  Someone named Marvin answered and this is the name that he gave.  He did not speak English very well.

A coworker got a call from this company - I am a Collector and called them back, they seem to be a scam since they refuse the name or address when you call. this is bull s*** and if someone posts their address I can find out who they are.

This is a scam - ignore it.
