Don't call gigats.  waste of time. I called them twice about two different jobs just to make sure what is it that they do and they push you towards college.  they do send you some email about jobs that are hiring but you can find those online yourself.  If you try to talk about the job you applied for they disregard it and talk over you and say please hold let me transfer you and its the same person when they transfer(supposedly transfer) me, they just stay quiet for like 5secs and say "I heard you had a question". then they transfer you to someone who tries to sign you up for school.
THEY WASTE YOUR TIME.  DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR INFORMATION!!!!!!!!!  SERIOUSLY DON'T.  Do your research about them.  I wish I saw these posts earlier.

I advised i am more worried on finding a job and not focusing on furthering my education at this time... He then advised i would be better off if I signed up for the job of the day program...I listened for 15 minutes and decided to hang up on him.... @ franklin,
Im wondering just how is this a scam?? It seems as though you were really contacted by a legitimate school, right? So, maybe this is a posting to scare everyone? Umm, I might stick it out for a few days just to see what happens...besides, it only takes one person on the web to create panic to others...maybe that was someone trying to sabotage for personal reasons! And theres a lot of folks that misconstrue things all the time, I am just saying!

I had originally applied fo a medical/receptionist job in Elmhurst, IL at a Company called Fresenium Medical.  You could set up an interview over the internet, which I did.  It was today, 4/18/14.  The call-in number was #1-866-930-0587.  I called and I had a funny feeling about this.  The guy I talked to, Will, was pushy about furthering my education and all I want is to find a job.  Nothing was said about the job I supposedly was appplying for.  He kept pushing me to talk to an "Advisor" about furthering my education and I told him no.  I was given his e-mail address:  will.s@gigats.com.  A minute later, I received an e-mail from Geraldine T., Career Specialist at Gigats.  Geraldine.T@gigats.com asking me to complete my registration - gigats.com and provided me with  a username and password.  When I registered, I was asked to call another #1-855-559-6562.  I looked up Gigats and found out it was a SCAM.

I read the following:  Just FYI to anyone looking for work. I was applying to a job at what I thought was Miller-Coors to have my resume hijacked by a place called Gigats. TOTAL SCAM. I was on the phone with this supposed Employment Spc screening applicants for Miller for 20 minutes, only to be transferred in the end to someone trying to sign me up for a junk online college.

I was frustrated and furious.

So I sent the above to Geraldine and Will and told them to LEAVE ME ALONE.

My gut feeling was right.

Thanks to everyone who entered their comments.

I also then, "Unsubscribed."

FYI...Everything you all have mentioned about Gigats is 100% true.  They have NO interest in finding you work, only to get you to talk to an advisor about going back to school.  My brother worked there and hated it, mostly because of the deceptive way they act interested in your job search only to trick you into talking to someone about school.
They should be shut down.  This HAS to be illegal.  He also said the "career specialists" only keep their jobs if they transfer enough people over to talk about continuing their education.  How pathetically sad is that??

I just had the same call/interview most of you had. Sadly, I was naive enough to follow through and actually started the application process at an online university. I was even looking forward to continuing my education. I talked to an On-Campus counselor as well and worked towards making an educational plan. After I did that, I looked up more info about the job searching website that referred me to that online university. I then discovered that Gigats was a scam. Just a few minutes ago, I talked to the counselor of the school I was registering to. I had to explain just how I was led to their school. I told them about Gigats. I told them that I was sent to their school through a scam company. Then, the counselor, who seemed like a great guy, was thinking I was calling his university a hoax and a scam, but I proceeded to explain that I thought it was a great school, but I wasn't content with the way I was referred to them. This ended up being an uncomfortable conversation for the both of us, but in the end, we were in good terms. I told them to be cautious if they heard the term Gigats, because they had an infamous reputation. I had to restate that I had nothing against their school and that I didn't want them to be affiliated with a bad name. I hope no more people fall victims to Gigats b***s***.

It seems to me that they are also using another number as well. I've been texted at 866-930-0847 twice. I haven't returned any messages because it didn't seen right and I find it unprofessional.

I've been out of work for over six months and fell into the same scam.  In fact, some how Gigats was able to view my on line resume before I completed any information needed to set up a profile on its site. That should have been my first warning. The job an ideal position, for which I know I am qualified and yes it was from a respected company. This ruined my day for job searching. We need to be careful and research these on line job posting websited.

Good luck with the job hunting.

They called me this morning.  Sent me a text first.  When I told them I do not need any assistance in education or healthcare as I own my own business, just looking for something to occupy my time part time, and that I own 6 homes in 2 states, Teresa seemed to loose interest and said I should expect an email from her within two hours.  I doubt I receive an email from her.  But if I do, I will post it here and my personal data REDACTED from it.
