I have a Missed Call from  (855) 275-7180 that True Caller's software helped ID as a gold sales scam.  I'll check the last 4 digits again, but if I don't post again, it's likely to remain a scam # ...  Feb.3rd, 2014  SD.

It's a total scam they called the house about my father saying he has 30 minutes to turn himself in ..and that he had 2 fraud charges..they left a docket number and all ...they even went far enough to say they were federal agents....so ridiculous

I received a call from this number - the caller wanted to speak with my daughter, who is a junior in high school. He claimed to be with the Air National Guard. She has never been interested in the military.

Hi, I am Australian I got the same text message. Lohse12@yahoo.com. They give out fake code number to contact John Scholer Investments. Then to contact Mr Graham Halloway of Community Bank in Canada. They both sound like (Africans) Nigerians. The Number is 1 647 292 3052

Got an e-mail supposedly from Anthem Blue Cross welcoming me and asking me to click on welcome2anthem.com/up3sos8 to log on for benefits.  This number is listed on the bottom of the e-mail along with office hours.  I will let Anthem know.

Constant fax calls to my number--extremely annoying.

u have recieved uncountable numbers of calls from this number some will not answer when i say hello some tell me they have the wrong number and only one actually talked to me asking for a parent of zoe which doesnt live here begin cussing me and abburptly told me to get a life and hung up when i started asking questions

I also got the same spiel. When I told the caller that my child already took the ACT/SAT, she asked if she was planning on re-taking the test. As soon as I said, "no, she tested well," the caller hung up on me. No reputable business would ever hang-up like that. So tired of these phone scammers.

Kalamazoo Katie is obviously a plant.  Such starry-eyed enthusiasm for an obvious scam can only come from the scammers.

These guys are bozos.  As others have reported, they buy lists from CollegeBoard (who should really only release information to colleges, that's what the students agree to do on the form).  And they push their BS to anyone who can be trapped on the phone.

Best technique, just hang up on them, and don't answer their calls after that.  If you have a phone that allows blocking, add them to your block list.  And report them to the FTC (you can start at donotcall.gov, as someone mentioned previously) -- if there are enough complaints the FTC might catch up with them sometime.

This numer & another numer has been calling after my daughter has taken her ACT.. How do they get our phone numbers & how do we get them to quit calling?

They have called me two or three times asking to speak to my mom or dad, i am only a sophomore so i have no idea what they want! CREEEPY DO NOT GIVE ANY PERSONAL INFO.

i just got this call today.  It is unsettling when they know your child's name.  I received other calls this week with the same spiel from this number:  1-888-260-4306.  I blocked that number and am getting the same calls from this new number.

Someone from this number continues to call daily asking for my daughter and then when I ask who they are and what they want they hang up

They call several times a day.  I tried to call them back to ask to be put on their do not call list.  All I got was a recording saying I had reached customer service and to leave a message, but the mailbox was full.

Claimed to want to send 30 day trial of SAT prep material, and promised 300 point improvement or money
back.  Needed credit card information, of course, but would not send me an email  so I could verify they were legit!  Definitely a phish!

Received calls from 855-285-5718 , caller has daughter info from SAT testing. First call's asked for my daughters "Mommy" and  hung up after we asked who was calling. On the last call they offered unwanted courses to prep for college, when I asked to be taken off calling list I was called "Retarded". I am concerned for child information security & safety.. This WACKO needs to be stopped.

Called today asking for partents of my son and wouldnt identify themselves in anyway.  after me asking them over and over to identify they just hung up.

I called them back and you only get a message that it's customer service and leave a message.

I am a high school student and I get home before my parents. The number keeps calling twice each day like clockwork... Can I speak to the parents of...(me)... There was chatter and other noise in the background. I said they werent home and they said they would call another time. Then today, they called and I said who are you looking for... The guy was like... Mrs. (mylast name)... I was like uhm may I ask why you are calling... And they were like sorry wrong number? Wtf? It's sketchy... I Bet it is an sat thing though.

Wow what a rude SOB on that line.  Even if the company was legit, I wouldn't send those people a dime.

We have gotten 3 calls from 855-285-5718. The fist time it was a very young sounding woman who asked to speak to my daughters parents. We were not home and the person hung up on the person that answered our phone before she could as to take a message. The second time I saw the number on my caller id and no message was left. This morning the phone rang (Jan 24, 2012 at about 9:00) and I answered and the young woman asked to speak to Andie's mom or dad. (This is not even our daughters legal name it is a nickname) I told her I am her Mom and she started saying something about how Andie had applied to take and SAT prep course. When I told them she did no such thing (my daughter is 30 and has not lived at home for quite some time) she just hung up. I plan to call the number and see what happens.

I am getting 6 calls a day from this number. I turned the number into the FCC.

I got calls from this No Name company several times everyday too. When I answered the call, a man mentioned my child's name and laughing horribly for a while and then hanged up.

We MUST report this # to FBI for investigation of such s Big Harassment to so many families.

I have been receiving calls from this number for the last couple of days.  It has happened several times each day.  There is no answer when I pick up the phone.

The caller called my house looking for the parents of my son. spoke to another family member

They've been calling and hanging up on answering machine for days. When I answer, there's a long pause and then it sounds like I'm being connected somewhere. I have always hung up, but this time I was pissed enough to stay on the line. They wanted to talk about my son, whose first name they knew. He did just take the PSAT (unlike the other response about a call from this number about an adult child), so maybe that generates some of these calls? Either way, asked to be taken off the list. Was told: no problem. Hoping he's right.
