They will not provide me any information without  me providing them the last four of my #SS number...or my address ...they stated that i had been served. I was never served at my previous address or at my current address.

Got a phone call today from "Brian" at KW Assoc. 619-354-9264. LM saying I owed $6K for a credit card bill but the new amt with finance, etc is $15K!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh no, really. Within 3 minutes after I went off on him, he offers to settle with me for 10% of the original amount which is $600. So in 3 minutes he went from $15,000 to $600!!! I asked for the agreement in writing. He sent something with Pinnacle as the letterhead. He told me his company was KW....I looked his phone # up on Google (above) and there's nothing but escort services related to this number. I'm turning this over to the attorney generals office. I do not believe they are ligit.

Seems Experian is a critical link here... calls from Kentwood and Associates representing Pinnacle LG originated from incorrect/fraudulent information that only showed up on my Experian credit report...they are using other numbers as well....626-285-7500, 855-263-0277. Nasty people people that kept transferring me to other departments/people then hung up on me when I pressed them to send the court paperwork.

Yes I got the same call they got me for 300.oo  they made it sounds good I never received any thing say ing  they receive a payment or did I get a receipt

These people beware I also found the number to a p.o box at an ups store. The other address is at a flower shop. The payment recipt they emailed me looked fake as heck. Had to go change bank info on cards and get  reverse charges from the money they took out. Everything about this company says fraud !! Don't pay investigate first !! Ask for written proof of the debt they say you have. Check the law to what they need to take thecright steps to collect from u . Give no bank info !!!!  

Same thing happen to me waiting for any answer on Monday ..the bank is doing an investigation .

I think this is very frustrating to see a credit inquiry by this same company with no legal right. I called the credit bureau to complain about an invalid and unauthorized hard inquiry on my report and they told me that by law any inquiries must be reported and can only be removed if I can get a letter from the company doing the inquiry stating it was an error. If they don't want to give me a letter claiming it was a mistake, it'll be on my report for two (2) years. The other only option the credit bureau (Experian to be exact) said I have is to report them to the better business bureau.

I think this is pretty messed up that anyone with your SSN can request a report and you can't do anything about it to remove it unless they agree it was a mistake.

BEWARE!  I started receiving calls from this John Burbon as of yesterday!  He said the same thing that there is no statue of limitations in the state of Texas because of my "unearned income 1099", and that "I SHOULD HAVE PAID MY TAXES"!! The debt he was calling to harass me about was a credit card back issued in 1999 and that was charged off in 2001!!  He was so RUDE and confrontational. I had to tell him to calm down because he was yelling and threatening me before I even had a chance to ask him a question! He also called a family friend (cosigned a loan for me) and threatened her as well. He said that he was sending a sheriff over to serve me a summons today, he told that he her and myself. He said my debt was "about 15k"!! I laughed and told him that was impossible because my credit limit was only about $1000 back in 1999-which is not even listed on credit report as of today!! He said it was due to all the legal fees and charges. But he would settle my account TODAY for $800.  He has called me again today, wanting to settle. I did call my lawyer and he said to tell him to got to hell, that there is no legal right  for him to collect on this old discharged debt from over 12 years ago! GOOD LUCK!!  I plan to answer him when he calls again and tell him that I need his name, address, phone number and everything else listed on Credit Karma's website on how to dispute a debt!  I am so glad I found this site!!  OH, he has also called me from: 626-600-6854, 888-855-8946 and UNKNOWN/Blocked #"s.  I also checked my credit report and saw that Pinnacle Litigation Group (based out of CA) did an inquiry on 08/01/2013! JERK!

all the same that was word for word said to You  Jenna..My friend just typed in the phone number and found it was a scam...So I suggest that all you guys report it to the Police....I dont have a computer but I used my friends to apply for unemployement and I believe that s how they got my last 4 numbers...OF SSC.

Just got a call from 855.527.3595, Lisa Taylor stating that I had been named in a legal suit of fraud and that if I didn't call back there would be police at my home and my job to serve a summons. WTH? Glad I checked out the number before calling back.

I too have gotten very similar threatening calls. that the legal dept was letting me know that a UNIFORM police officer would serve me tomorrow but I can call this number and stop the embarrassment yada yada.... omg ai wasn't born yesterday but uniform cops don't serve civil summons. I also verified that no case has been filed against me. those liars!!! today they call and said I didn't call so I could be served. I told them go ahead. nothing happened they r scammers, liars who should go to jail for threatening people with scams to extort money. these people r not legit.

Got a call from a company stating same as above.  Called with reference number, debt from 13 years ago from x-husband.  Quoted statute of limitations and said if they filed anything I would fight on the grounds of statute.  Told me I had to report the debt as unearned income to the IRS.  I am a licensed tax preparer and told him he didn't know what he was talking about.  Hung up on me.  Called back and spoke to "supervisor" John Burbon to complain about the hang up.  Got the same nasty, threatening attitude and told me that the IRS would come after me.  I tried to as them to send written proof of the debt which I have the right to do and Mr. Burbon hung up on me as well.

No, and no one will, not from these scamming scumbags.

I got the same call today from John burbon. From pinnacle litigation group phone number 1-888-722-0177.  He said the same thing to me I had a legal action against me. They are a phony debt collectors. I google their company name and it showed they are a phony company..  I will all the police and file a claim.. They threaten me. Cause I owe 8,000. But I'm not worried anymore but their no way I never had anything on my credit score nothing.

Had someone call me at work to verify I could accept a summons the next day regarding a personal debt. I have no valid debts, nor blemishes on my credit report so asked for additional information. The gentleman recited my name and home address (spooky) and gave me a number to call- 888-722-0177. When I finally got a  hold of someone at that number, I gave him the reference number provided and stated I had done my homework on their company, have no valid debts, recited the statute of limitations in my state and said I worked for a law firm - that if they attempted any illegal actions, or continued to call me I would sue. Amazingly, he put me on hold for a good minute or so and came back saying it was a case of mistaken identity - he couldn't even find me by my last name in the system and the reference number was attached to a different name. Guess I scared them by threatening to sue. Still freaked out, wondering if I need to call the authorities to report this mess? It's worrysome they know where I work and live.

Recieved a call at my place of work.  No information, accept they would have the Sheriff serve me documents.  As far as I know, the Sheriff does not serve unless its from the courts or jail time is required.  Nothing has ever been sent to me or no other phone calls.

Having established we have an illegitimate debt collector at issue, the real question is can these goons be found and sued. Corona, California once was home to a cancerous growth of fake debt collectors making illegal threats, much like their counterparts in South Asia. The FTC busted up the gang, but it's not clear all of the cancer was burned out, so to speak.

This could also be a mouthpiece for one of those foreign fakers, keeping them out of our reach. Keep digging, friends. Meantime, get cozy with the federal laws being flouted.

I've been getting phone calls from this number too. I've spoken to 3 different people about the same "debt" that I am supposedly getting taken to court over. Each time they gave me a different case file #, and every time I asked for this in writing, or the summons itself, I received nothing. Most recently, I spoke to a John Bourbon who threatened to take legal action through the IRS if I didn't pay them immediately. After telling him I couldn't possibly pay 11,000 up front, he "confirmed that his client would settle for a one time lump sum of $500". When asked to provide proof of legitimacy, he faxed me a letter with a pinnacle litigation group letterhead. Thanks to this site, I confirmed that the address listed is a UPS store in California, and the "litigation group" is nothing more than a scam.  Thanks to everyone who posted on this site and confirmed my suspicions, I was not duped out of $500.

I called the number and spoke with a john bourbon due got really nasty and smart wanting me to verify info I advised him that he called me so he should know everything so I hung up and did not waste my time so seems all of our stories sound alike so now I feel better after reading theses posts Thanks guys and good luck I told him that I have a right to ask any questions he drilling me like he the judge and jury he was whack not sure where he came from
