It's a company that does follow up phone calls for auto dealers. It's a service they use for customer satisfaction.

I JUST SPOKE WITH THIS MORON AND SHE ASKED ME THE SAME QUESTIONS OVER AND OVER ABOUT SERVICE ON MY KIA.  I AM CALLING THE DEALERSHIP AND REPORTING IT.  SHE WAS A TRUE NITWITT

This number just called twice in the last hour. I'm at work so I couldn't answer but when I called back it kept me on hold no one answered. I don't own any of the cars mentioned above and have not even been looking for a car.

I received not one but 2 phone calls while I was at work last night.  The calls came within 3 minutes of each other.  My phone carrier doesn't give free minutes on the weekend.  I didn't answer the call but I'm sure that increased my phone bill.  What good is the "Don't call list".  It doesn't stop them.  I'm working and wasting money at the same time.  I read some of the other posts, I don't live in Dallas or drive a VW or an Acura, won't own either car.  Waste of time for  bothering to do "Don't Call"!

Just bought 3 cars in the last two days, I'm in Southern California, my phone was ringing every hour.  Came online to investigate the number.  Like the rest of you, I don't answer if I don't know the number.  If they don't leave a voice mail I put their phone number into my blocked log.  Technology is grand when dealing with telemarketers.  I don't even here the phone ring when they call.  I send them to voice mail, so they have to at least pay for the call. Once the call picks up, they have to pay for it.  Hit them in their pocket book.  When they get their phone bill and realize they are paying for voice mail calls and aren't talking to anybody they will have to change their practices of cold calling people they don't know.  I didn't give anyone permission to call me.  It is a direct violation of the Federal Do Not Call List.

What I think it is. . .   Any of you use TrueCar.com to price a new vehicle?  Or it could be the Costco auto discount program.  I used both of them to shop cars and compare.  I am thinking it has to do with one of these companies.  I started getting the calls after I used the Costco Auto Program, so I am thinking it's someone affilliated with costco trying to verify savings if you purchased a new car or not and your experience with them.  I think Costco is trying to verify the savings and make sure their members are happy and are saving a reasonable amount of money on the purchase of their new vehicle.

It's a front (like fake) number that shows up on the ID that is a service that many auto dealers use so people won't recognize the number and thus are more likely to answer. It's likely a local dealer you have been to at one point. Call the Dealers listed number to get ahold of them. This number does not go to any person or mailbox.

I am shopping for a car also and received 2 calls on Sunday morning at my work number. I know exact who I gave my number to. Now, they have no chance of getting my business.

They just call and leave no message.  Has happened several times in the last few days.

This phone number 855-294-4857 calls every day , how do we stop this

I did car shopping with both Hyundai and Kia on Friday, and purchased a car from Hyundai yesterday.  Like JMS, I was told that my personal information wouldn't be given out.  I got a call from this number on my cell phone yesterday (before purchasing the vehicle) and another this afternoon.  No message.  I dialed it just now, got a "this call may be monitored" message, and then a busy signal.  I'll be blocking the number.

Apparently, it's a telemarketing company for various retailers and calls are made for different purposes. They use one telephone number that registers on everyone's caller ID, but are actually computer-dialing from various operation centers. They could be identifying valid numbers to call back later, calling for auto dealer service centers, new car buyer surveys, financial services offers, etc.

I don't app people calling me at 9:00 at night and it not being a true call if it is a real call CALL DURING THE DAY please

I tried to call this number back and after a recording plays it disconnects without letting you talk to anyone. Added to blocked numbers.

Called today. Did not answer. Looks like from previous posts this number seems to call after a person purchased a new vehicle which I just did yesterday. No message left.

Stop abusing my phone numbers.  You obviously have my home and cell numbers.  The only place I've given those numbers to lately (this week) is the Kia car dealership when they worked on my car and solicited me to purchase a new vehicle.  I hope this is not something they've recently started doing.  Bad idea, if so.  

I did not call the number yet, but I did look at new Honda's today.  I gave the salesman my name and number for HIS database according to him.  Now like a couple other comments above I get this call.  Go figure!

I went to a Toyota dealership in Louisiana and they started calling me on a Sunday.

I know the calls are frustrating, but you will have to put yourself on the "Do Not Call " list. Nobody here can do that for you.
