They said they do business in several types of businesses. The guy had a deep accent so I asked if he was calling from America. He said no the personal matter was outsourced to India. WTF is wrong with American businesses?! Keep work in America for Americans! If this is legit, then I should not have to speak with a person from India about a personal matter!! I don't live in India and have never been there. I also don't ever plan to go there. I will not verify or go along with anything involving my personal life with some foreigner. Way to many scams these days to bother with these fools!!!

I have received 4 calls from this # today although only 2 are still showing in my caller ID.  The claim about being a debt collector with heavy accent.   I have seen another report that was EXACTLY the same as mine from a year AGO.  This needs to be taken care of ASAP.

called hubbys cell he did not answer and asked if i knew of the # i said i would look it up which i did.. it is now in the vault of sorry no answer for the rest of its life.. we both know not to answer unwanted #s and to check the net first.. thank you to the people who have posted about this #.. all i can say is went you all get a unwanted # please post about it somewhere on the internet that way more and more people can say is a scam..

I downloaded an app called current caller ID and I blocked it

Calls every week going on 8 months, ask for Tina. No Tina lives here, been our number for 2 years. They say will remove our number but call again in a week asking for Tina. Have had it with these people ...NO TINA LIVES HERE!!!

Whatever you do do not give anyone information calling from this number!! they are scam artists who try to trick you into saying the last four digits of your Social Security number..  They will try tripping you up by nonchalantly by asking you to repeat your entire Social Security number! These people have purchased your information via receipts,  bank records, etc.  people are selling peoples information!  They come across that one airhead who doesn't realize who is on of the phone but obviously they are relentless in getting what they want!!

School Loan dept collectors

I received a call by saying that he has my financial documents.

Said he's from Total call and it's regarding am important business matter. I told him there is no important matter and that it was a scam! That if they keep calling I'm reporting them. Sounds like they are calling drum India!

So it's easy enough to block this number on Android after I read the posts (thank you to those who did have the misfortune to answer the call and write up the information).  I'm thinking this is either Blockbuster trying to get collect a fee for not rewinding a VCR tape when I was in college, or a disputed Best Buy charge for interest on a balance that was already paid off when I bought a 270-pound tube TV many years ago.  I would happily ship the collector my VCR and/or TV had I not already taken them to the recycle center a long time ago.

Read your states statute of limitations on collections of outstanding bills. I had a few in Texas from 1999. The debt was created in Texas, thereofre follows the states statute of limitation to collect, which is 4 years. It is 2014, 15years later, and now 3rd party orgue collectors have gotten a hold of the out dated debts. If you take ownership of the debt via phone, the collector can activate the debt, thus resetting the 4 year statute. Do not answer calls that you do not recognize. Most likely they will not leve a msg. If they do not, then you know this is not a legitimate call.

Calls every day in the late morning. Thanks to this site, I never answer. I do not owe anyone any money. If I did, I would have heard about it. This place seems to think that they can get personal info out of people. Well, they don't even get a "hello" from me.

these jerks call me every day....I love caller ID and make good use of it by refusing to even answer these callers. Ha ha the jokes on you jerks!

called here and if I am right they tried to use a number from Butte or Bozeman MT.This person has a very bad accent india or someplace like that. And goes by the name of O'toole Shawna. They had places all over the United States.Do not give out your information and they can not threaten you either and they know it.

They called my wife's cell phone....ridiculous.....harassing tone. She finally hung and blocked the number.

They think "free country" means invading privacy & wasting others''  time.  I want my unlisted status back, and get out of my life.

They have others social security numbers and reveal the last 4 to random callers that are completely strangers. They could be accomplices to help identify theft criminals! They call themselves Protocol? Has anyone heard of this company? Protect others, and yourselves, BEWARE! DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION FIND OUT WHO AND WHAT THEY ARE!

OMG,i can"t believe what i"m reading,this Indian sounding man called from that number asking me to confirm my husbands last 4 digits if his ssn,our p.o.box and email address,says hes a bill collector,we owe no one.I told him to mail us a bill and he seem to not understand that part of the conversation,i told him i was sick and in bed because i just had surgery,he told me God Bless and to get well and he would call me at the end of the month when i felt better.Who is this CON MAN.Thank God i confirm nothing,well our p.o.box at first,then i felt like something wasn"t right,oh and he also wanted our bank account info,thats when it turned into a HELLLLLLLLL FLIPPING NOOOOOOOOOOO.watch out people.Someone needs to get that DING DONG FOOL.

Scam calls at all times of the day

Well that sucks just get an iphone it's free to block as many numbers as you want. Whatever numbers you block, instead of getting a call from them they will be automatically redirected to your voicemail system. It's up to them if they leave u a voicemail...

These people have called me probably 500 times over the last few years trying to collect a debt from 27 years ago that was supposed to have been settled in my divorce.  My spouse got the house and along with that was supposed to pay off 2 credit cards but obviously never paid this one.  I have given these people that information along with how to contact my former spouse but they still just keep calling me.  For a $1700 credit card debt from TWENTY-SEVEN YEARS AGO!!!!!

The foreign man said he was calling from "Protocol" and he was calling me about an important business matter. He had a thick accent. He kept wanting me to verify my name, address, and social security number. I told him if he thought he had my address correct, he could mail me whatever he needed to, but I wasn't going to give him any info on the phone nor verify anything. When I called back, he answered, saying his name was "Ivan". He called again, but I declined to answer.

Just got another call from this number,  I NEVER answer my phone anymore,  I also have turned off my answering machine so these idiots cannot leave a message.  It's really sad that people in this USA have to deal with idiots who
call and annoy you day in and day out.   If I could get away with just a cell phone I would do it.  Don't like to speak to people who think I owe them money, I have not debt.

Some guy keeps calling my dad about a debt of $8000 to a lawn and garden store. The problem with that is he never had that type of debt. They had his address as a mixture between his and mine and the last four of his social. Obviously they are not from US, thick Indian accent. My dad is in his late 60's and I believe they are phishing and trying to take advantage of him due to his age. From all the other posts, this seems to be their MO. Luckily my dad hasn't given them anything and is rejecting the calls. Best advice is to tell the a#@holes is to take a long walk off a short pier and hang up.

I got a call from this number on the way home from work last week.  He identified himself calling from Protocol Collection agency.  I could barely understand this individual but he told me I owed on a credit card that I didn't own.  He told me I owed $1000...kinda fishy since it was an even amount.  I also just refied my home so I knew I didn't have this debt. He asked about my mailing address and the last 4 of my SS. He then asked to email the info right away so he could get a payment.  When I told him to snail mail me all the documents he was collecting on, he flipped out!! Yelling about how it will take 10 days to get the documents blah blah blah....Then hung up on me.  Weird but DO NOT give out any of your information.  If anything lie about it and tell them to mail you any and all documents...

Just received a call from this number,  but I don't ANSWER my phone anymore.   If I don't recognize the name or number, just don't answer it and have turned off my answering machine so they cannot leave a message.  It's very sad that you can not get calls from just family and friends,  but have to get calls from these telemarketing idiot bill collectors.

Just got the call and a person with very little English capability asked for someone with a totally different name....My  husband said you can't even speak correct English and there is no one here by that name.  If we get another call I am calling my cell provider and the Attorney General
