Started getting calls from this number, 855-286-0194 and 855-424-7029 last week. I have not answered but based on here it sounds like it's the LLS yet again. At one time I had 11 different numbers calling from their "hired help" to ask for donations. I filled out the on-line form to be removed and they still called. I wrote their CEO and he responded with a "so sorry" but the calls still go on. This is a charity that I will never give to since they never listen to me!

I just called them back and asked to be removed from their list...let's see what happens!

No message. Rang a few times and I didn't answer and it stopped. Put the call into call blocking on my phone. This is the best way to defeat these guys. My phone is a Uniden with "call blocking" of 20 numbers. After awhile you will run out of space so go back and delete a few of the first ones. They seem to give up after being blocked a few times. Works great! I get very few calls now.

Called 7/11/2013 @8:07 P.M., of all times! I didn't answer, they left no message. Can you say RUDE?

I don't answer when this number calls (many times a week), but when the machine picks up it goes directly to a dial tone and then that hideous noise when you've had the phone off the hook for a while starts. Who is this does anyone know?

I receive calls all day long from this number and up to late evening.  I have never answered one and do not intend to.  I am even on the no call list.  I know that doesn't work.

This Lukemia-Lymphoma society is relentless... Annoyed to the point that I don't want to donate again EVER!!

I have had the exact litany of phone calls and from the exact same phone numbers as "Tinker" has listed! Every one! I am ill and have an awful time getting enough sleep and these idiots have made it impossible to sleep late after being up all night in pain. I would like to know...
A. Where can you find this call blocker that "Dirty Harry" is talking about and
B. Who in law enforcement can we file charges with that will take this seriously enough to really do something about?
I am going to bring this up to the large news media services and have them make sure that the Lukemia and Lymphoma Society gets the bad press it deserves and then maybe they will change their tactics! It does not make sense to me that an organization that is supposed to be helping the ill is in fact hurting the elderly, infants, home bound, ill and everyday unsuspecting person who is just trying to be left alone and unharrassed!

Calls on Sunday morning and does not leave messages

Call is from the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and their annual solicitation for donations.   Here is an easy way to get the calls to stop.  
1. Call the "Toll Free Call" number back.  
2. Listen to the recorded message and press "1" to be removed from the calling list.
3. Enter your 10-digit phone number when prompted.
4. After your number is read back to you, press "1" to confirm.

You will then hear a message telling you that by law they have 30 days to remove you from the list, however they will try to do so in the next 2 or 3 days.  

Like everyone else, I have been getting multiple calls from various toll free numbers, all of which are from this organization.  As a past contributor and as a sponsor for individuals running in several "Team in Training" marathon fund raising events, I don't mind contributing.  However, the calls are coming at inconvenient times and when I have answered, there was no one there.

Call was about a charity she was authoritized to solicit for....I soon told her what she could do with her charity.  Asked her to remove me and hung up.  Had called twice before while I was away from home.

I'm not answering, and I disconnected the answer machine so they can't leave any message.  But they weren't leaving a message anyways.

When you call back the recording says it is the Leukemia and Lymphoma society.

This is YET ANOTHER National Leukemia & Lymphoma Society phone number.  They call RELENTLESSLY.  If you block one number, they call from another.  If you fill out their Do Not Call request on their Web site, they don't pay attention.  Great job, LSS:  you've guaranteed that we'll never donate another dime to your worthy cause with your telephone harassment.

Call the number and follow the instructions to be removed from their calling list.

Because the Do Not Call  List is just " A List"   maintained by the FTC.   That's all!.   Not a mega computer or operated by hundereds of people monitoring.  Just   "A List"  of people who don't want to be called by actual telemarketers for the purpose of Sales of goods or services..  The DNC list applies only to Telemarketers.  A list that is required to be purchased by Legititmate Marketing companies registered with the FTC.  It has no mechanical blocking ability nor can it monitor anyone's calls.  It doesn't know what calls you welcome and what one's you don't welcome because there is nothing guide it.....because it is just a list of names and numbers,  on file with the FTC.  The FTC  can't shut down, fine,  or jail  every caller in the US that has a complaint filed against them.  The DNC is not it's own independent government dept.  It has no Army of enforcers.  It is a "File"  maintained and updated by the FTC of the people who subscribe to this List,  saying that they do not wish to be called by telemarketing companies.  There are over 500 million telephones in the US.  There are approximately  1 billion,  500 thousands calls made each day in the US.  It would be like trying to swat flies in an outhouse.   Charities are exempt from the DNC Registry.  Yet,  you can request to them that they cease calls and they are supposed to abide.  Some do and some don't.  But until enough complaints are filed with the FTC,  and that caller achieves criminal status,  don't expect anyone to do anything.   We all know that a system needs to be developed to help control our own telephone callers.  The FTC never intended the DNC registry to be an enforcement tool to do anything more than limit the soliciting calls to individuals for the  purpose of  Sales or Service (Telemarketing)

Calls from this number need to stop, with no answer.  Why does the "do not call list" stop them?

The norm is I never answer 800 calls. Answered this one just because.
It was a polite gentleman with no Indian accent, from the Leukemia Foundation asking for my wife.

Its a charity!    Exempt..   The DNC isn't going to monitor your incoming calls for you.  It's just a LIST!  Not a mechanical mega computer.

This company calls repeatedly and leaves not message!   What ever happened to the "Do Not Call" law?

All of my phones are listed on the Do Not Call list but I still keep getting advertising calls - even on my
OnStar phone!!!!

Everyday they call!   This must stop.

Just got a call from this number as "TOLL FREE". I'm tired of the junk calls so I just ordered a "T-lock Incoming PRO Call Blocker with LCD Display and Blacklist" from Amazon... will block up to 1500 numbers.

I would like to report this guy to consumer fraud to get arrested.

So as I read through these messages, we still don't know who  these people are? or what they want...
