Received call from this number also and was advised the call was from Humana, which after time found it to be a second party wanting to come to my home and go over my prescriptions and medical health. Returned the call and after listening to Brittany at 855-319-4450 ex 6570 i concluding that this is just another way to avoid or do away with your Doctors who we have come to know and trust. It was a pressure sale and after "wasting" her time with such nonsense as a Doctor coming out to take my b/p and minor crap, i asked if it was mandatory to continue insurance and she said it was important to have a followup with them. This is the biggest "bs" i have heard in so long I am beginning to believe that insurance is trying their hardest to not take care of their clients. I see enough Doctors on a regular basis and refuse to have some unknown "Doctor" come to my home to second guess my Doctors.

I returned a call to the above number to a woman named "Montelle." On my answering machine she had identified herself as being with Humana, my insurance carrier. When I called the number and gave the extension, Montelle said she wanted to set up an appointment for a physician to come to my home. She said they were doing visits in my area for the next few days and not many openings were still available. She also said she was calling as a follow-up to a letter I should have received early in May. I do not remember such a letter. I declined the home visit after she said it was not mandatory in order to continue my insurance. She made the comment that Humana already had ALL of my health information.
I called my physician and was told this was very unusual and that they had not given any information about me except for confirmation of services to Humana.

According to the Humana agreement, this 3rd party, * does * have your prior medical info on a preprinted form.
See this URL.

This is not an Abama Quack, This is your insurance company, Humana, gathering additonal info about you using a 3rd party, Censeo....if you let them in the house.

Received call 5 01 2014. Said they were from Humana, (did not truthfully identify as Censeo) and had Dr in our area next Mon to come by our house.Sounds like a scam, but after checking with Humana, they admitted they've contracted this "optional" service for their Medicare Advantage members. I informed that we have primary care dr and the HMO has excellent home care staff. No one, no unknown person, not affiliated with our real doctor and home care netwrork gets inside our house. Caller was insisting on "reason" we wouldn't schedule appointment and I hung up. I'm a believer in home health and assessements, but by my Doctor and my HMO health care provider, not a 3rd party like Censeo who collects data for the insurance company.

This group made an appointment and we checked them out on this site and others. WE will not let them come into our house and do not trust their motives at all. This is not a requirement and we are not going to participate in their checking on our primary care physician. Enough said.

In July 2013,I and my wife agreed to this "evaluation" promoted by Humana. We agreed to a schedule and a representative from Conseo Health did in fact show up. Spent approx. 30 min with each of us, ask questions, measured BP, observed our very modest home, and recorded medications we were taking. The meeting was very pleasant even though she recognized our skepticism of the purpose and value of the visit. The report or recommendations left for us provided nothing for our well being. The only item for my self (male) was to guard against falls because of scatter rugs in our home.( THAT'S ALL !!!). My wife is a smoker and nothing was checked or indicated about a cessation plan, the doctor's "checked" concerns to discuss with her primary care physician indicated " your vaccines" ?? (she's had them all !!) Also she should be tested for Glaucoma. ( we both have annual eye exams and these tests are performed, Have no idea where this comes from !! NOW We have a notification from Humana that Conseo will be notifying us for an appointment. These people will NOT enter my home again. I don't think it approaches fraud but it's close.

I have had a Censeo nurse coming to my house each week for almost a year to just see how i am doing or if there is anything i need. She will call my doctor and explain how i am doing and if i need any medicine she will call it in for me. It is all legit.
Now the Doctor you are talking about has been here once. He came last year and is due back again next week. It is a legit check up also. Just checks your medicine and make sure you have what you are supposed to have.

We got a call saying they were from Humana and wanted to set up an appointment for a check. I ask why thy couldn't just call our PCP, they said it took to long. We set up an appointment. They said they would call the day prior, to confirm and the Dr. would call when he was on the way. I told them I wanted to be here when they came as I was an RN and I knew what questions to ask. They never called back and did not keep the appointment.

Humana called today about having a Doctor make a house call. This seems like another waste of money with the potential of harming elderly patients like me.
I make annual visits to a General Practitioner and Urologist every year. I make sure blood tests and lab work are done before the annual physical. I ask questions and try to gain a full understanding of my health and well being. I keep copies of medical records and take responsibility staying healthy and not being a burden on my children or the tax paying public.
By contrast we will now have what perhaps could be called an "Obama Quack" making house calls. The "Obama Quack" will have no prior factual information about his patients Health upon arrival. Sure the "Obama Quack" can take temperatures, listen to heart beats, measure blood pressure and fill out some type of standard questionnaire; but why on earth pay a doctor to do this.

I got al call as well but did not answer it. They left a msg and I called Humana to verify they had authorized this and they confirmed they had. Talk about an invasion of privacy!!! What kind of physicians do you think they can get to do this? I have read comments from online who say they are physicians working for them and they only get $100 per visit. If the scheduler sends them to a dead address, too bad. They don't get paid unless they do the exam. And they don't get paid for auto expenses, i.e., gas. This is an example of what our health care system has come to. For now, they say the appointment is voluntary, but I wonder how long it will be before you either schedule the appointment or be dropped by Humana?

I received a letter from Humana about 2 weeks ago telling me that a free service was going to be provided by Censeo by a doctor who would take ridiculously simple tests like blood pressure, pulse, breathing. I can do all of those things MYSELF. It also said that they'd check my medications and ask some questions and that it would probably be around 90 minutes . As soon as I got that I looked up the company on the Internet. From what I saw this company gathers info for insurance companies which might be used by the insurance companies to obtain info they don't have access to. Humana doesn't get your medical records. They know what tests and medicine you take because they pay for it but they don't know your medical history or test results or what you discuss with your doctor. This info could then possibly be used by insurance companies to determine whether they want to keep you as an insured. I also wouldn't be surprised that it isn't relayed to other parties--like the Government. I received a call 2 days after I got the letter as well as one on 11/23 and again today. I have no intention of setting an appt with them. And just because they say it's a doctor, does anyone believe that an MD is going to be spending 90 minutes doing mostly nothing but fill out a questionnaire besides all of the driving time? Doctors wouldn't even work for less than $100 an hour and probably much higher. It's a legitimate company but I don't think they're really doing ethical work. I think it's also a way to get around the HIPAA Privacy Rule.

Finally got my name off their call list. When doctor showed up at my house, I told him that I would not answer his questions.
I had called Humana before this visit and the one I spoke to had never heard of Censeo. The doctor took someone's call while we were talking and he said he was with Humana (which he isn't). We talked (doctor) and he said that the scheduler should have told me I had an op-out. Also, found out that Humana has sent my entire medical record to Censeo's database in Dallas.I saw all the paperwork that the doctor had in his hands. I asked them (he used his cell to call Censeo) and the doctor to delete my file from their database. This file of Censeo has everything that Humana keeps on their database about me. So all of you out there with Humana, you have a third party that has everything about you including your SS#. You need to get on twitter, facebook, etc., and raise hell, because if you don't stop this, pretty soon your medical records will be all over the place. This company is a research division of Neil Kendle Healthcare, and grew out of their sister company Kendle Healthcare, LTD. Censeo is a specialist expert intelligence agency. This company has an in-house systems that enable to do research & report on trends.
People out there you need to standup and raise hell, because Obamacare is really, really trying to take over your right to choose. You can get to Censeo web site http://censeo.info/

Sorry about your cancer prognosis but I doubt it was discovered but this visit. I declined too. My doctor takes excellent care of me and that is good enough for me.

You are a complete fool. Using scare tactics on the elderly to MAKE them say, "yes, come to my house" is a load of crap.
Once you have this insurance you keep it until YOU decide to change it.
I agree with you on one thing though, PLEASE DO YOUR HOMEWORK. ;-)

My father got a call from this number saying that was Humana calling to set up an appt. for a physician to come to his house for a physical, He has one of the Humana programs. He call me to check this up because it sounded strange and suspicious like a pushy telemarketer, made him feel uncomfortable, a call from 855 area code number. I checked with Humana and this Censeo or Sensales health is not associated with Humana Advantage.

I received a call from someone named Sanci telling me all about a Dr. named Fenser wanted to make an appointment with me. I said no to two offers to see him and finally let her set up the appointment for Nov. 4th at 1:00. I tried to call back this morning to cancel and was told the number had been disconnected, By the way her extension was 6446. I will not be home on this day and will refuse their program. This lady was just like a dog after a bone trying to make these appointments.

They called me too and left message. Thanks for the info. Have not spoken with anyone there yet and doubt if I will. I agree that Humana should have alerted us about this company. Will contact them for more details.

Got a similar message today from someone claiming to be from Humana. They said there will be a doctor in the neighborhood (how convenient) on Monday and they can drop in to check up on me. The reason being - to work with my primary care dr who may not be informed of everything wrong with me. Good grief, I need another dr. like a need a hole in the head! I was still in bed when they called and said I can't make any decisions yet as I haven't had my first cup of coffee! If they call again I will politely decline.
| Jim 2013-09-17 04:00:57 Unknown |
Don't believe that! This doesn't benefit anymore except Humana. Once they have their Doctor check you, then they can say that you don't really need whatever treatment your real Doctor has ordered for you. They get their Doctor to say you don't need it after he evaluates you. As far as I'm concerned, this is nothing more than a scam for Humana to skip out on paying for whatever medical treatment you currently receive.

I had a message from that # that said it was Humana, too. When I called back (because Humana is my insurance co.) I was told the person who originally called was busy and would call back. The call back (no number listed on my caller ID) said Humana wanted to send a Dr. to my home to check my BP and ask questions. I said NO WAY would I allow a stranger to come into my home. She insisted it was to better the communications between them and my doctor and that the visitor would have credentials.
When I said a flat out "NO" she said they'd give me time to think it over and call back. I just hung up.
