Freaking out after reading all these comments. My husband received a phone call from Foster and Monroe saying there was a case pending on him. By the way it's a different # then what's listed on here. He was being sued by Roger 's Jeweler's a debt that we do owe. If we didn't put 25% down now and pay off monthly they would take him to court and we would owe then 3 grand for all attorney fees. Because we knew we owed this debt we thought this was legit. We have a scheduled payment to come out this Friday with them. How can I stop this??? In my gut I knew something wasn't right but they got us.

I suggest you contact your bank and let them know their was a fraudulent charge. They should be able to get your money back for you.

If you are "legitimate" please provide us with ONE court case in which you actually came after someone. Please provide attorney information that works for your "law firm". Or are you just going to hind behind a telephone and a bogus website that gives no real information?

Can you go to jail for a bounced check? No. However, if you authorized this company to take automatic transactions from your checking account and that payment bounced, that is the equivalent of bouncing a check. In order to make it legitimate they would need to record you giving authorization to process the check, if you did not sign the transaction, and if they have, that constitutes them having a signed check. A recording of you giving permission to process a check is the equivalent of you signing a check. Secondly, you said they have your account information(which i'm assuming was given legitimately) but you didn't have money in your account. If they were authorized to take the money on that day and the money was not available, that is the exact definition of what a bad check is. Giving someone permission to withdraw money when the funds are unavailable.

Received call at work today after message left on my cell, was told I will be sued for fraud if I didn't make arrangements to pay previous credit card debt

I got a call from my brother saying that they received a call and left a message saying that I was going to be sued because I owe money and that I had given false information. I just got another call 5 minutes ago from my brother and they were told I have a deadline and need to call them asap but the number they called from was restricted. Is this a scam? I know I have never given false information and with how they are being discreet with what company they are working for, is making me nervous, because its unusual and if i am being sued it is not . . . . . . .  i don't know what to say.  

The caller, identifying themselves as a legal office left me a message saying that I have a complaint against myself and that I should have myself or my attorney call them. Minutes later they called my mother and grandmothers home phone looking for me. How they got their numbers is beyond me, since they are not linked to any of my credit accounts.

I an unknown number call this afternoon, and they were asking for my husband. They were looking for a family member from my husband's father's side. But, it's strange because my husband has never met his father, or any of his father's family members. They claimed that the woman they were looking for missed a court date and she had another court date coming up and they were trying to get in touch with her. But the strangest thing is that these people called my cell phone number instead of my husbands.
