Received voicemail re: bad check and suspicious activity.   Doesn't make sense in re: to me.    Asked to validate mailing address and place of employment.   Semi-threatening tone to caller.

I got several calls from this number on Friday and then a couple more this morning already. They call my cell phone, my work phone, my boyfriend's phone, my old roommate's parents' phone... I called the number and tried to figure out who they were but they wouldn't give my any information other than that I owe $800 immediately or I can go to court and fight over $1,800 or something like that. I told them to mail me whatever it is they are talking about because I wasn't born yesterday and I'm not going to give out my payment information to a company I've never heard of.

I'm confused my sister texted me and said someone left a message on her phone stating she needed to tell them where I was located and that if she didn't she could be arrested for withholding information. Anyone I deal with would have my address as I haven't moved.  Then I get a message on my phone from an Alyssa Darren stating that they have an illegal/fraudulent case against me that they will forward to the county I live in and that if I don't call them at 855-331-3780 to at least make a statement on my behalf papers will be delivered to my home/place of employment.  I never wrote bad checks and never do anything illegal. I know for a fact I am not giving them any of my personal information.  Sounds like a scam to me.

How did they get your mother's number?  Did you provide it when you applied for the credit you were issued?

I got a call from this number. It stated that I was listed as an alternate contact for my sister.  I never gave my sister my cellular phone number; so, I don't know how she got it or them.  They told me that she had complaints against her from the Washington DC area.  They provided a case number.

What type of place is this?

Is it legitimate?  Where are they located?  What State?

It sounds to me that you must have had some bad checks you havent paid for.. I do work in customer service and not for the alledge company you are talking about.. I was just giving advice so she or whom ever wouldnt lose out .... there are alot of scams but this was not one... i had to learn the hard way.. so if you dont believe it just wait on the summons... it is as simple as THAT!!!

@stacey. First of all there is a statue of limitations on bad checks!!! There is not one on murder.  BAD CHECKS and unpaid debt are 2 completely different things. Stacey more than likely works for the company and is trying to scare ppl into paying.

I did receive a call at my job but I didnt get the message in time. So I had locator come up to my job with the paperwork(summons) for me to go to court. I called the number back that was left but at that time b/c I had received the summons I couldnt make a out of court agreement. I ended up going to court for a bad check and had to pay over $800.  So just know its not a scam which i was told. What harm is it in calling to see??? You never know.. I didnt b/c it was something that I had forgot about 2 years ago and like the judge told me no statue of limitations on BAD CHECKS!!!

Calling about relative that lives in another state, distant relative. Left threatening message regarding court charges being filed, don't even know how to contact relative, but person on the line acted like they were the police. Please remember to hang up on your not-so-friendly bill collectors that try this :)

i got this call, and so did my mother. Leslie Moore, called to tell me to call or papers will be sent to my job, home.

This is a creditor, and out of state...it is illegal form them to threaten work & family members.

They keep calling me to. Were you ever served with papers?

A "private locator" named Bob Johnson called my home and job telling me I have to call this number to avoid some sort of paperwork being filed against me.
