Unfortunately, I get these calls/emails as a result of falling into the pitfall of paydaylenders (PDLs) last winter (2012-2013). I'll probably get them the rest of my life. But with some intense research, help I found on-line, and contacting my state's banking department and Attny General....I finally stopped the vicious cycle. PDLs are illegal in PA; lenders must be licensed.  I revoked all ACH authorizations and sent each lender a letter informing them of their illegality and gave an offer to settle my accounts (principal minus all interest, fees, financial charges, etc).  Settled fairly quickly with all PDLs except MyPayDayLoan.com, which is off-shore (Costa Rica).I was never able to settle with them; for about a month or two they sent me harassing email messages, threatening to report me to various agencies (all bogus)....blah,blah,blah.  Long story short, they probably sold my "debt" and info to these bottom-feeder collection agencies. I sincerely regret what I did, but with a little research, knowledge, and determination I got out of the PDL cycle.  But I'll probably be haunted forever by these charlatans. I now know their MO; I never give out any info over phone or email, just hang up. All correspondences via USPS only. Sorry to be so long-winded, but I wanted to share my experience and possibly help someone.  P.S. Stay away from these entities that claim they can settle your payday loans......rip-off city.

Has anyone had the "private locator" for them try to call you and verify your address to serve papers? Then at the end of the message he says you have been officially notified? First name was Zach and number was 715-318-0895? If I was being served papers would it not be on my states court access site? And not to mention if papers are going to be served to you, they don't call to verify your address or to find you period, THEY JUST SHOW UP!!!  Good grief! I also talked to someone at this "Accurate" and claims I owe on a loan from three years ago in which I have documentation to prove all my loans were paid and she wouldn't even give me a choice to prove this!!!

THIS IS A PRIVATE HOUSE.  Do your homework, and beware.  The Fair Debt Collections Pratice Act has protections for how they are approaching people, and your State Attorney Generals office should have a Consumer Division you can call to check your rights in your State, and get information to file a complaint.

So glad you were able to post this information.  The sad thing is, not everyone will be so wise. Hopefully they will check here first. I knew it was a prank call when the same number called me accidentally and I heard girls laughing.  Thanks for sharing.

Update to my previous post: I managed to get an address for this so-called collection entity (600 17st Street, Suite 2800, South Denver, CO 80202). Did some research, found website for the Colorado Collection Agency Board. Apparently collection agencies must be licensed by the State of Colorado. Of course, "Accurate" is not on their license information list. Called them, spoke with a nice gentleman who confirmed that "Accurate" is not licensed in Colorado. Filed a compliant with the Colorado State Atty. General's Office.  Boy, if these people ever get me in person, I'll just have to share this tidbit with them and promptly hang-up. Will not return any calls.

I got another call from a processor for Accurate; I was told to call 855-350-2513 and that I had been officially notified.....of what?  So I called and was connected with a Heidi. She refused to give me her last name and she wanted me to verify the last four digits of my security number. When I refused to do so, she became quite defensive.  When I asked her what her firm does/purpose, she refused to say anything unless I verified my social security number with her. I was able to get an "address" for "Accurate". It is: 600 17th Street, Suite 2800, South Denver, CO 80202. She eventually hung up on me.  I called back immediately, got Heidi once again, and informed her that she and Accurate have been officially notified and I would be reporting them.

These Scammers find your resume and phone number on job search sites, most likely. I was contacted with a job offer from a mysterious company then started receiving harassing phone calls the following day. They even called my Uncle, which is easy to find on Facebook. Beware of these scammers. I saw them a Mike coming once they couldn't tell me what the fake claim was for. Lol. Try someone else. Frauds!

They just called my sister in law and brother in law asking for me now can't get anyone to answer just straight to.voicemail

I didn't receive a call from this number, but was contacted at work by an lady who said she was a "private locator" working for "Accurate Processing Firm". I was given a claim number and told to call 1-855-350-2513.  I did; it definitely smelled like a scam.  Cut the call short; refused to give any info.

Apparently belongs to a collection agency called Accurate.
