I received a call from this number 855-377-6771 and they were wanting to talk to my daughter about a case that is going to be filed. The call on caller ID came up as California call/private number. The person I talked called herself Mrs. Jacobs and gave me a claim number to give my daughter and the 800 number above. I called the number back and the automated machine stated it was from a Judicial enforcement group. This is not the first time my daughter has gotten these calls. Big Scam!!

Unfortunately, if you filled anything out online, they can easily steal info from some sites, or get it through data breach's. And there are other way's like this:

One important thing to remember if these losers have any of your personal information such as your social security number, date of birth or drivers license make sure you register with identity protection notify the credit agencies as well as your banks!!

So this number (855) 377-6771 called my phone names "DC" and talked too me about my debt i had owed 7 years ago,  he got ahold of my bf and my f'in work number. The debt i owed was actually it. But, they had little i mean little information that made me believe it was a scam. As in when it was open, where, etc. (bank account)  what scared me the most was, they knew about my personal belongings that i had recently financed. If yall are calling it a scam i believe it. I just wanted too put out my side so maybe others in my shoes can hear out that this is bs.

They called my phone for me with a case number and called my mother's phone for her using the same case number.  Weird!

Make sure your Attorney General gets a copy of this letter also along with the FTC etc..

Go to the police and make a complaint.   This looks to me like nothing more than an extortion attempt.   He's basically threatening you with criminal charges on what is (if valid) a civil matter.  If you had written any bad checks the bank itself would notify you first, and if it were serious enough the police would have been  involved.  Debt collectors cannot charge anyone with anything.  They have no powers or arrest or prosecution.

Make a police report.   Looks like you're the victim of an extortion attempt.

I was in surgery when this Judicial Enforcement Group called my mom, daughter & my sisters husband telling them I was being sued & very impt for me to contact them so I would not have to go yo court. On that day I was in surgery. About 5 days later I received a litigation letter. I called the # & after being to 4 different person before I spoke to a Mr. Diaz. He said he was representing a bank I hadnt been with over 15 years. Then told me I was writing bad checks when I DONT write checks AT ALL!!!!!! THEN HE WANTED TO SET UP A PAYMENT PLAN!!!! if I could pay half in full all debit would be erased. If I couldnt I would have to go to court and most likely be incarcerated!!!!!! I have blocked their # on my phone & will file with the police dept. I HATE PEOPLE LIKE THIS. Forgive me Lord.

It says you have chosen to ignore our previous attempts (none to my knowledge)
Then states the following, "you are hereby notified that a recommendation to file a lawsuit may be the next resulting in a judgment entered against you."

It then describes what a judgment is.
At the end it threatens," in order to avoid further legal action, you must contact our office within 10 days of this notice; otherwise we will assume you have no intentions to resolve this and litigation will commence immediately."

How are these companies allowed to operate and not get in trouble?

Where is dateline or nbc to expose these criminals?

A friend just got a call from someone looking for another friend and stated that she was involved in a court case with charges filed against her.  The woman gave a court case number and thus phone number to call her back.  

Was able to stop them both from making the decision to return the call by coming here.  I knew it sounded like a scam.

Referred the friend to report the number and details to FTC and Attorney General.

Blabbing about your alleged debt to everyone around with a pulse and making false legal threats violates your FDCPA rights. If that street address above can be of use, consider launching a real lawsuit for the hassle. (The loser company pays all your costs, wink.)

Ana Luna from (855) 377-6771 have called my family members looking for me. They have left messages with my family members saying I need to contact them as soon as possible on account that I am being sued by somebody. And left a case number

Same thing as other callers have said.  It was urgent to call and gave a case number.  I will not call them as I've read the other posts.

Received a call from Ana Luna today and provided a number to call her back at 855-377-6771. She said she was calling from Judicial Enforcement Group. She provided a case number and said that it was regarding a case that was being filed.

Could not provide any additional information. Call read "NO CALLER" and she refused to disclose the reason for the call.
Huge scam.

My sister and my dad both got a call from this number and left a message.. Left a case number.. I'm pretty sure it's a scam

Ms. Jacobs has left several urgent messages on every phone line associated with me & my spouse. Same Case number was given every time but would switch around asking for either one of us. EXTREMELY ANNOYING!!!!

Got a call from "Restricted" as well, same message as everyone else - Miss Jacobs with urgent matter, call 1-855-377-6771 with case reference number. I called back and they were looking for someone with a name similar to my ex-husband. I asked to verify date of birth and last address, but it was not a match at all. She could not say what the call was about since I told her we are divorced, she said they would remove my number.

Just got a call from "Restricted" left the same message -- a Miss Jacobs with a case reference number saying it was urgent matter and to call back at 1-855-377-6771.  No identification about the company or what the matter was.  If it was real and urgent, they would leave actual information.  I do not plan to return the call.

Like I said earlier, they are claiming that I have ignored attempts from them, but this company has never called me, nor is there any original creditor.  Its just frustrating, as I am sure you all know.

Can you post the business name,  legal address etc up for us from that letter?  You may want to check your credit report also.

Don't think I've received a call from this number, but did get a letter with this number as the contact.  It was from a Judicial Enforcement Group.  It was for some rogue amount, with no original creditor.  I am not aware of any debt with this company, nor in that amount.  It claimed litigation... Should I be concerned?  

Got a call from 855-377-6771 claimed I was being sued. They claim i was being sued for unlawful receipt of merchandise and attempt to defraud a company I have NEVER stepped foot in. I told them off.

this is a scam.  report to ftc and attorney general.  Ms. Jacobs is surely a fake and they will continue to call if you engage them. they call from 855-377-6771.  Do not call them back just keep documenting and file a police report.

Good for you!  If your mother was being charged - the cops would be out to visit her.  They wouldn't give her or you a courtesy heads-up call.  This is nothing more than a scammer trying to scare you into paying money for some bogus debt.  Please do report your caller to the FTC - www.ftc.gov, the FBI - www.fbi.gov and your state's Attorney General - you can find your state AG here - www.naag.org.

Private number Called my phone to tell me that my mother is being charged as a defendant for US district court... My question is why am I being called. And if she was being charged to court why is it over a phone call and not personally serving her with papers. Scam to me. Mr Diaz seemed irritated when I said that I am not doing this over the phone.

Received a call saying that I needed to contact Alexa Taylor at 855-377-6771. Gave some case number. Don't know who this lady is. But on the caller id it showed a private call. Sounds like a scam to me. I will not return this call.

Received a call from a restricted number.  A Mrs. Jacobs asked for me to return her call by 5 pm tomorrow to 1-855-377-6771.  Said it was urgent and gave me a case number.  Don't trust it, I am sure is is a scam.
