Someone who called himself Mark Waters called me at work today and told me that he was a process server who was going to be coming by my house within 24 to 48 hours to serve me some court documents. He said I could avoid him coming to my job or my home to pick me up for writing a bad check if I called another number 855-379-0337 to resolve the matter.
I called the telephone number and spoke with Anthony Smith who said he was a mediator for a law firm and needed to settle on a debt that I owed in the amount of $3,184.00, but if I agreed to pay it off, they would waive the interest and administrative fees, and I could pay $1,007.30.
He further stated that they could break this payment into 3 installment payments. I asked him to provide some type of proof that I actually owed this debt. He seemed to get frustrated and said this was the only opportunity I would receive to resolve this matter without paying the additional $2,100 dollard in penalties. He said again that he has a servalance tape with me on it so there was no doubt that I owed the money.
He promised to send me some type of proof of this activity after I made the arrangements, or he would close my file and once I was picked up either from home or from work, I would have to get a lawyer, miss time from work, and pay more than $4,000 to resolve this matter.
Out of fear and panic, I gave him my debit card information. Shortly after the call ended I spoke with my sister who said this sounded like a scam... After looking on line, I saw that other people had experienced the same thing and immediately called the bank to cancel all activity on the account.

DID ANYONE EVER SHOW UP??...THEY CALLED ME TOO..I JUST CHANGED MY PHONE NUMBER AND SO DID MY BOYFRIEND (WHO THEY WERE LOOKING FOR) YOU THINK THAT WILL GET THEM TO STOP OR IS THERE A WAY THEY CAN GET THE NEW NUMBERS?

Got a call from Macy Anderson saying they were serving me papers at my job or my home if I didn't call this number and get it corrected there would be legal action. I didn't know what I was being served for nor did I want to be served so I called the number. It was a debt from 2008. They wanted me to pay $3k today. Yeah not going to happen.

I got a new phone number about 6 months ago. I have been getting calls from various collection companies ever since. I don't have any debt and was never late on any payments when I did. I have to assume that I got a number that was disconnected by a dead beat. I never respond to calls from these people and I hope they are pulling their hair out.

Just got a call from these people as well harassing and very rude saying I was going to jail for a debt from 2007 that i was unaware. Do your homework i know i am if anyone finds out what this is all about please inform me because they were biting tooth and nail to get my bank account number...beware

NASTY CALLS FROM THIS NUMER IT IS A VERY AGGRESSIVE COLLECTION COMPANY. I AM ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST AND DONT OWE ANYONE ANYTHING. THEY ARE ALSO CALLING MY FAMILY MEMEBERS TELLING THEM THE SAME THING SO THEY HAVE SOMEHOW LINKED ALL OUR NUMBERS TOGETHER.

GOT A CALL, AND NASTY MFER CLAIMS, SERIOUS ISSUES NEED RESOLVED. SOMEHOW THEY GOT MY CELL, HOME, AND OTHER NUMBERS OF FAMILY MEMBERS. ONLY THING I CAN THINK IS SOMEONE GOT A PHONE LIST OR BILL AND IS SCAMMING THE CALLERS. WEWARE, THESE ARE THE KINDS OF THINGS THAT GET PEOPLES IDENTITY IN TROUBLE. GIVE NO INFORMATION TO THESE PEEOPLE, DONT EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE A NAME OF THE PERSON THEY ARE CALLING ABOUT. YOU NEED TO GO ONLINE TO THE ATTORNEY GENERALS WEBSITE AND LAUNCH A COMPLAINT, IF ENOUGH OF US DO IT THEY WILL TAKE ACTION. i AM ON THE DO NOT CALLL LIST SO THAT IS ALSO ILLEGAL. called my brother, sister n law, and x-wife, saying macy was a state tropper looking for me. I called and found out it was a debit I had paid in 2007. Very Nasty. I'm contacting legal counsel on them.
