They called me on my cell.  I called the number back and they recording said they were Rolling Plains Cash.

I think the only way to stop the calls is to have your
phone company change to a new #.
Most #'s  are given to you from the phone
company that were previous debtors.

Received a recorded message from this number. Doctor somebody... About a study for diabetes. I am also on the do not call list but have received over 60 calls like this in the past month. I have caller ID, so I do not pick up the phone if I do not recognize the caller's number. What good is being on the do not call list? I am going to list all these numbers and send them to the Attorney General's office.

I am on federal DNC list.  Received a recorded message about credit help although I have no issues. Calling this number gives no person just that this is a Verizon number and then a code which hints that  this may be a robocall

americollect - collection agency in Wisconsin.  they just tried to pull this on me - by asking thru a machine "is this "karen....."...in which I hung up.  if you receive these calls, you can send them a 'cease and desist' letter to them which has to be sent by certified mail.  the address is 1851 S. Alverno Rd, Manitowoc, WI 54221...pissants!

SCAM WARNING.  They may claim to be debt collectors, but they didn't even know my last name.  If they call you, be careful.  If someone has paperwork on an old debt, they're going to not only know your name but have all of the old documentation that goes with it.  These people sound more like uneducated fraudsters who picked your name off of a web sites somewhere, and not even the correct name matched to phone number.

WHAT COMPANY IS THIS

Was waiting for an important call from a family member and made the mistake of answering before checking my caller ID. (They have been calling for the past 2 days but I was just letting my machine answer.) I verified that I was the person they were looking for and they proceeded to ask me for my date of birth. NO WAY was I giving out my dob. Hope they get the message that they are not dealing with a sucker and that they never call back again.

Whenever I get a call from a number that I don't recognze and/or doesn't display a specific name on Caller ID, I don't answer it. If they don't call back right away, I assume it was robo-dialed, so I subsequently block it. If they call back, I let it go to voice mail and if they don't leave a message, I block it.

I blocked it. Judging from the comments here, it's a debt collector and if that's the case, whatever debt they're calling about is outside of the Statute Of Limitations for them to do s*** to me about it.

then after a short wait a lady comes on the line. i asked her who she was and she said sue. i asked her not to call my number any more and hung up. i won't answer if they call back. makes one pretty mad when your in the shower when ther pull this crap.

If someone threatens arrest over a debt remind them that such tactics are a crime and this recorded conversation will be turned over to law enforcement.  
This scam by unscrupulous debt collectors and phone scammers has been well publicized.
Even if it is a legitimate debt, it is not a crime, so threat of arrest is laughable.

If someone was to serve u papers u would hv gotten them n they wouldn't b calling to find out if u received them or not. If u don't show up n its so far away they'll just legally come after u. It must b from someone who is badly strung out on ripping ppl off. Its sad that ppl really set up scam businesses to get money just find a street corner wit a sign n beg for money...I guess they hv no such luck. Well ppl I called the number they gave my brother at 10pm. Yes a law suit. Jennifer Burch called from a 855-393-8950, so I took the liberty to call back....got a recording of a man saying u hv reached our age group. So I called back again n got the same recording...Jennifer says she's a private locator. When asked where is she from, she stated I'm a private locator. This is obvious someone who is dumbascatshhhht scam crumb.

855-393-3589 calls all the time. Nothing is said because unless I know the # calling I do not answer. Scum of the earth to call and leave no message. get a freckin life and a job.
I call back and the phone just rings. No big surprise at this. Hope all these people that have anything to do with such crap have a horrible day.

about a dedt my daughter has paid off. She will be servered with court papers if she doesnt pay. This same thing happen to her last year and they said she was going to be arrested. she paid and it was a scam.

They keep calling my home phone, and even tho they hear the message on MY answering machine, clearly stating our last name, they still leave a message, KNOWING whoever had this number prior, does NOT have same last name. I guess I should have asked for a number that had never been used before???

Called again today and left a message from Americollect in an attempt to collect a debt but won't say who they are trying to collect for

This is not a legitimate bill that they are harassing me about. The will not respond to my letters.

They call me about every 3-4 weeks.  Yesterday they called (855-393-0743) and the message was "This is Pat, I will be here till 9pm tonight and then again at 8am tomorrow."  Call me back at this number.  I assume they are a collection agency but since I don't owe anything late I never return their call.  Besides they need to provide more info then this for me to call back.  Since getting my current phone number I have been constantly called by various collection companies for someone I have never heard of.  I have called some back to tell them I am not that person and I am told that they will remove my name from the list.  But whoever is the client trying to get their money just seems to go to another collection company.  Maybe if I hunt them down and shoot them they might finally get the message.  I am tired of these calls.

I am receiving calls at 262-633-2501, my secondary line,  from 855-393-0743 with a robot asking if this is "Calvin Plunkett."  I am not Calvin Plunkett and am aware as a criminal defense attorney that he is a criminal.  Please stop calling me.
