Tiffany...that is exactly what they told me...a check into cash from 2005. It was Paula Sebastian up until today and That Hillary Nelson is the one that got smart with me today and would not give me any info for a lawyer either.

They called me the 1st about a month ago. Left a message saying that some1 had stolen my identity & to call the number back to straighten it out. So of course I called back only to have a women named Paula Sebastian tell me that I had 48 hours to pay them $4,000 or that they would send some1 to my house to arrest me. I hung up and called the lawyer I have used for other things, who said it was bull an that no they could not arrest they would have to file a civil suit. I called back and told the girl point blank I had spoke to my lawyer and would not be paying at that time that I needed some sort of proof of the debt. For the past three weeks they have continued to burn up my phone. Until today. They called 6 times while I was in an hour long meeting. When I called back furious the girl simply said "are you calling to make a payment" I told her no that I needed proof of the debt. Her question was did I want proof for myself so I could pay it or was the proof for a lawyer. When I said lawyer her response was "well if u r going to route of a lawyer then we will just have to do whatever we need to. We don't have time to sit around and wait for you to file bankruptcy or something" I said that's fine do whatever you gotta do. And she told me the same thing I saw someone else say "well good luck then lady" I told her to tell her dang partner not to ever call my phone again that I guess my lawyer coul handle them and I hung up and called my local PD cause it sounds way too much like the scam I just read about in the paper.

I received 4 calls from this number and did not pick up on my home phone because it is usually a telemarketer. The same number then called my cell phone so I answered. I spoke with Hilary Nelson ext.213 and she stated that I had a fraud investigation going against me from a Check into Cash payday loan from 2005 and unless I agreed to pay those charges I would be served tomorrow with a Summons and be arrested. I asked, "arrested and taken to jail?" she said yes! I asked she give me all of her companies info to forward to my attorney because I have excellent credit and should have been notified of something like this prior to 7 years later. She quickly disconnected the call. Upon contacting the Sheriff's department and googling this number, it has been determined that this is a FRAUD. Please stop these people calling themselves Rosenthal and Drake!

I got this phone call earlier today from 855-413-5006 a guy by the name of Alexander Taggert, He made the same threats of my being sued for check fraud, and that Rosenthal and Drake are an "asset investigation service" and gave me the impression that he could and had pulled my credit to find out what I might own so they could take it from me in court. He gave me the option of paying almost $ 400 before the end of the month and then they would give me a status of claims number so that way if I was to get pulled over or something I was to give the officer that number and I wouldnt be arrested. I 'm glad I did't paid him anything, this is a huge scan. I hope that he calls back again so I can tell him what an asss they are.

I have been looking into this organization. All I have found is that both rosenthal and drake and goldstein and dwyer are just collection agencies. They do own ligitimate rights to the debt they are collecting on, however should never use these bully tactics. Politan Processing is a third party payment processing company that has multiple clients.

wish i found this website earlier... it all started back in June, my fiance received a call from a private number that left a message to call attorney Erica Drake at 855-606-1323.  WE fell for it bad, made 2 payments of $423 and 2 payments of $325.... On my bank statement 3 went to Goldstein and Goldstein and the 4th went to Politan Processing Corp...  Found this website yesterday after receiving a call from 855-413-5006 for rosenthal and Drake. This number 855-606-1323 is associated with 855-413-5006.  Also affiliated with Politan Processing Corp, Goldstein and Dywer, and Rosenthal and Drake.  I contacted my bank, my debit card has been cancelled and they are investingating (also reimbursed the money). I also went to the police station, the officer called 855-418-5490, left a message and it was Politan Processing...  http://politanprocessingcorporation.com/ has the sames contact number.  I received a call after going to the police from 855-413-5006 asking about another payment they wanted, one i mentioned Goldstein & Dwyer they said to forget about all payments< prior and future. All of these are scams!! wish i knew earlier but thank god i found out!!!

Ok, Im not sure how I should be reacting. Back in June I got the call threatening a warrant for my arrest, etc. It freaked me out so I called them right away. Turns out a situation involving my ex fiance and myself, which i was sure was paid off, had grown into a huge debt due to interest. The woman i spoke with arranged either i pay $700 on the spot, or make monthly payments of around $300. I dont make enough to afford that, and since my ex was involved, i didnt want her getting away Scott free either. I asked if I could call and get her involved, and thus halving how much id have to pay, and the woman said this was fine. But as a trust, I would have to make a payment of $41 before i got off the phone, so they could prevent papers from processing. I was very upset and confused. I paid the $41, which was all my food money for the week, hung up, and called my ex. I explained the situation, and she said it was a scam. Her boyfriend who is involved with the law, called and talked to them on my behalf, and they said they would refund my money and leave me alone. Well, i never got my money back. The next day, i cancelled my bank card out of fear that they now had the numbers, ordered a new one, and havent heard anything since... Until today. I just got a call from these guys again saying that i can either pay what is remaining, or they will refund my $41 and send the papers off to the courts and ill be served a warrant. I apparently have until tomorrow to call them back with my decision. It all seems very serious, but all im reading on here, and my with what my ex said, this is all a scam. Does anyone know what i should do? I am so emotionally wrecked right now, and very nervous that something bad is really going to happen. Please help?

They are not bbb accredited. I filed a claim in july. I just received email from bbb saying it was closed unanswered by business. We need to file complaints with the FBI which I have posted above the link for it.
I have already submitted to FBI but if more do then maybe they will be investigated.

Debt Collector
So this is my story with this company. Enjoy! And please, don't fall for it. I hope everyone is smart enough to google these things on claimed debts before actually submitting payments, there are a lot of crooks in this line of business especially given this economy.

Problem description:
This collection agency's solicitors pose as litigators who are trying to file an identity theft and check fraud claim. They left a message on my phone posing as a legal entity regarding an investigation, and i quote, "identity theft and check fraud". When i called -- alarmed, because i HAVE had personal documents of mine stolen in the past -- I was told that they are acquiring statements in order to press charges about identity theft and check fraud with malicious intent. Against me. The agent attempted to act like it was a criminal matter. She would not come outright and tell me what the debt amount was or what it was for, continuing on with pseudo-lawyer speak about pressing charges, and just that "it had reached nearly $3000 due to fees and notices being served". I informed her that I have never been served a notice for anything, ever, not even once in my entire life (so how could I be getting charged for it?), and also I was pulled over a year ago and the cop didn't say anything about criminal charges or warrants against me. She finally admitted that nothing had actually been sent to any court or collection attempts made beyond mail and phone solicitation. When asked about the original debt she admitted that it was from a $200 bounced check from September 3rd, 2005. Weeks away from the seven-year mark it can no longer effect my credit, coincidentally. And a YEAR after the statute of limitations in my state set in place by the fair debt collection practices act. She admitted also that they might send it to court for a civil case, and only then might a judge turn it into a criminal case (which doesn't happen. And can't, since it's outside the statute at this point). She said that she could accept a one time, paid in full $800 payment to alleviate the debt, but only that day. Or two $450 payments in one month. I told her no. She continued to pressure me by saying that we had to enter an agreement right now or I would be sued for the full amount including a check fraud claim. I said I would call back Friday. She said that was unacceptable. I said I would call back today between 11 and 12; she said she'd call around 1 if she hadn't heard back. At 10am, she called me about "getting something worked out". I informed her that I spoke with a lawyer who says that not only is the debt not valid but that the message left on my phone -- which I am saving as evidence -- is illegal, and they would not be receiving any payments or entered agreements by me, and that they were not to contact me ever again.
Desired Settlement: Stop Contacting Me
Desired Outcome:
They should be fined heavily or even disbanded for breaking the law in attempts to collect debt.

Prank Call
This company calls my work cell phone, given to me by the company, its not in my name. I called back while on a break and what I heard made me sick. There was a woman saying she was from this company saying I was involved in a crime regarding me passing out fraudulent checks and that I could go to jail. I immediately thought that maybe someone had retrieved checking acct info from some checks from an acct i closed and decided to tear up the checks and throw them in the garbage. My heart was pounding so hard I thought I was getting a heart attack because I was also hyperventilating. I had to leave work and go to the dr. It turned out my blood pressure was extremely high and I got an asthma attack. I dont suffer from hypertension. I later checked with the bank and there was nothing to report. I also went to the social security office to find out if there had been any unauthorized activity and came up with nothing. As the calls continue and nobody ever comes on the phone when you call, i decided to run a check on the number and found out that this is normal practice for them. They need to be shut down or their staff needs to be educated on debt collection practices. They cannot continue to call me at work!!!!! Im also going for a legal consultation as they need to pay for me ending up in an emergency situation. They keep calling and lying. They need to be stopped. Im going to investigate every possible venue to shut them down.  I still have no clue what it is they want and today I find out theyre a debt collecting company.

Click this, copy and paste it, or whatever you have to do to go here > https://tips.fbi.gov/

And report these people. The FBI can investigate this stuff, but they need people to make enough complaints to take it seriously. What this company is doing, is illegal and "YOU" can sue them for it.

Linda Armstrong called my home from this number twice so far today. I got in too late to call and decided to check out the number.  Has anyone had them to call and leave someone else's name totally and a social security number on voicemail? She repeated the name numerous times and made the same threats about a process server already being dispatched out. She left a case number and said "good luck". I am wondering if they left a false name just so I'd call back and they could get my info or if it was a scam meant for someone else.

These people have been calling me everyday now ohhhhh for about 6 months it is either their auto machine which say the message is for and it uses my last name twice. LOL Every now and then it is a live person who threaten everything you have read above.  I am a collector I have been now for 28 years,I don't do third party or personal I do commercial.  The law though is the same really for both personal and business a few tweeks here and there, but the deal is they cannot sue you only the orginal debtor can and second they cannot do it by sending a certified letter to the county you are in. (which by the way they didn't even know my county they said it was (the name of my town county) which is not a county it is a town in the county.  They also say the old I will have you servered at home or at your place of employement, well get after it you are out of state it cost a lot of money to send an out of state processor to serve me and first you have to have filed a case to serve someone, even if it is for a court apperance there has to be a case first.  This is a bottomfeeder the work old old debt that has been bought and sold through several collection agencies for many years. Statue of limitations in my state for collection of a debt is four years, just look up on the net statue of limitation for a debt collections see what your state is.  I've talked to my attorney and I am filing suit against them for harrasment due to the statute on the debt running out. Oh yea and I bet if you check your credit reports this debt they are trying to collect will not be on there because of the age of it.

I got this phone call earlier today when I was at school and they began harassing me on the phone I told them I was going to block them and they proceeded to call back and leave a voicemail informing me that there would be someone serving me with court summons at my address they have on file within 24 to 48 hours and if I refused to sign or they were unable to reach me it would be forwarded to my local county clerks office who would then issue a warrant for my arrest!!!  I had my problems in the past but for a few years now have been on track and I am a single mother of two small children so I was very upset and bothered by this voicemail as I am sure you all were as well...after repeatedly trying to call them back the number says that it is not set  up to receive incoming calls at this time so I became more suspicious...I then proceeded to google the law firm they used and the phone number on my caller ID and was taken to several other pages such as this making me realize it was a SCAM!!!  I don't find this in any way shape or form to be found funny or justified...I began to worry about my kids and what would happen to them, if something was really seriously going on even though I knew I had not been in any trouble it really upset me for a while and I am beyond irritated by this and plan to contact the news to report this number, posted it on facebook to warn my friends, and the BBB will be hearing from me as well...this sort of thing is not okay and very much so pissed me OFF!!!

Shawna they can't say things like that if you look up on the Federal Trade commissions web site under consumer and then credit collections there is a lot of things these people are saying that are against the law. they feel that most will not take them to court or make complaints against them so they keep doing what they do until someone sues them in court for violating the fair credit act and that is what they are doing. and will do until someone sues them.

I just got a call from Amanda and I hung up then I rec a call from Jason and he also sounded like he was reading a script stating he was from an attorney's office but in fact it is a collections agency, I made a complaint against them with the BBB, He left in his message that there were about 6 charges that would be make them felony a charges, I know they can't do this by law per the Federal Trade Commission, they can not mention any kind of possible court action in the message or conversation, no threats of any kind, this again is another bottom feeder who is looking to use scare tactics to get what ever money they can. do not fall for their tricks..
