Text Message Phishing Scam.  Pretends to be Cadence Bank.  Says call this number for more info.  Cadence Bank has a warning about these people on their website:  http://cadencebank.com/resource-center/identity-theft-alerts .

I too received a text from this number on May 8th at 7:30 AM. It said:
(5300-88XXCard) Contact 1 (855)414-8241.
I did not call the number.

I got a txt msg  from a random name "901201@vtext.com " w/ a phone # 855-414-8241 RE: MY ACCOUNT WITH CANDENCE BANK.       I DO  NOT  repeat  DO NOT  HAVE A ACCOUNT  OR  ANY REASON TO HAVE BISINESS WITH THEM.  I FEEL LIKE THIS IS A WRONGFUL WILL DOING OF A TEXT BEING SENT OUT!!!!!!!   THIS NEEDS TO BE STOPPED

I got a random txt with a bank name and this phone number. This is not a bank I use. Upon looking up the bank name given in the txt, which is a real bank that has a website, the contact numbers that the site lists are not the same number given in the txt.

I have receive a lot of strange number phone calls and 2 txt now. I am going to pull my credit. A side note, banks do not send txt messages or alerts unless you sign up for it. You have to give them permission.

I got the same text message. Time for Verizon to take action

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAAY) - Cadence Bank is warning customers not to reply to text messages claiming their accounts are being suspended or cancelled.

According to the bank, the messages are part of a phishing scam attempting to access customer accounts.

A message from the bank states that customers should never respond to automated messages in any form from a financial institution, and that the bank will never contact customers to request personal or account information.

Have gotten the message twice in two days. Cadence is a bank in the south. I am deleting.

I got the same text....wanted me to call the bank regarding my account.  When I called, they asked me to enter my account number.  Hung up.

Terrorists huh? ROFL! Thanks for the laugh.

Same message as reported above...just reporting my call as well.  I actually googled Cadence Bank and talked to a woman who confirmed that it is spam and she took my zip code.

It's a scam. Everyone is getting the exact same message to call Cadence Bank with the same credit card number. Don't be fooled by even calling it back.

Received the same text as previously mentioned.  This is one of the many scams used by Terrorist Organizations to finance their operations.  They need to be Indicted & Prosecuted.  A perfect example of why Gitmo should be kept up & running.

Just got a text with an implied credit card number that I do not possess.  They claim to be representing "Cadence Bank".  I responded with a text to report them as a scam.  I'm seeing more and more scams from various numbers like this.

I pay for all texts.  So Verizon is responsible for letting this harassment go on over their network.  It happens early in am when I am in no mood for nonsense texts from scammers!

I just got the same thing texted to my phone this morning and when I called the number they say welcome to Achieve Credit card services your prepaid card has been limited due to an internal security error..please enter your 16 digit code shown on your card. Well I don't have a card with any of the numbers they requested so YES this has to be a scam to take peoples card #'s and use their prepaid cards for thier own personal use!

Verizon needs to filter this number so it is blocked from all verizon phones. Before my new plan, I was paying for each text received and sent.

got a text listing a so called card i have and then this number to call with the text "CONTACT". Not going to do it

Received same text about 2 hours ago. I wasn't planning on responding and after reviewing these comments I definitely will not respond.

This is obviously a scam.  I got a txt message with 6-digitxx card identifier.  It does not match any of my cards.  There was no option to get a customer service rep or operator.  I hung up.

i received a text to call this number - called the number - prerecorded message asking to reactivate my debit card.  Hung up.

I got a text saying to call this number back to...  Didn't do it though...  Somebody needs to investigate this!

Received text from 748201@vtext.com to call this number. Also had 6 digit card identifier.

recieved text to call# voice message says credit card has problem with a six digit card identifier followed by xxxxx.  to reactivate card you press 1  then message asks for you to enter full card#. I did not go any further.  the  card#fire not match any cards I  own.
