I just had their system installed and it amazing. It is not scam, I bought it and I am not an  idiot.

I RECEIVED A CALL ON MY CELL PHONE..NOT EVEN MY HOME PHONE AND I AM ON THE DO NOT CALL REGISTRY.  I ANSWERED AND A RECORDING SAID THERE WAS A PROBLEM, THEN HUNG UP.

I received a call on my cell and answered it.  The recording said there was a problem, then hung up.  I have blocked this number.

I ANSWERED A CALL FROM THE ABOVE NUMBER ON MY CELL PHONE....NOT EVEN THE HOME PHONE.  THE RECORDING SAID THERE WAS A PROBLEM THEN HUNG UP.  I HAVE NOW BLOCKED THIS NUMBER.  

This is a legitimate call, even though this company does not display their company name on Caller ID.  They are following up on your recent installation of your new Security System.

We also had a new system installed and it was a verification call.

I don't have an alarm system and besides that, they called me twice on my cell phone that I've only owned for about a month.  An alarm system would call your home phone.

I was thinking the same thing. I certainly have not installed a security alarm. So why am I getting 3calls a day?

They've called me twice and left a message once. They made it clear that it is a non-emergency call. But, **I have not ever had an alarm installed in my home**. I am not sure if this is a scam but at minimum it is a telemarketer. Why would they be calling me. How did they get my number?

I'm with the "don't trust this company" group.  Anything positive is probably put there by the scammers!

First of all, he's a dumbsh*t. Which makes you a bigger dumbsh*t for thinking he's brilliant. They are in a customer service related field. Of course they will want to follow up and make sure their information is correct. So no. There's no irony.

Actually idiot, it's a very nice security system. One that I can control from my cell phone with a spiffy little app. One that gives me piece of mind at night knowing that help is on the way! Just because you don't want it doesn't mean it's a scam.

I'm glad I looked this up! I have been getting this call and stupid me, Justin with Garnstar (the people who installed my security system) told me they would be calling. I guess I will answer next time. I thought it was a bill collector. lol To people who are saying that the people who say it's not a scam are telemarketers: I'm not. I am a 27 year old homeowner in Plano, Texas and I work for an insurance company. I had my alarm installed just after Christmas so it makes sense that they would want to follow up.  I can see how a call from an 855 number would be sketchy, which is why I looked it up. But I am not a telemarketer, not that anyone has to believe me because as we all know, the virtual world is not full of truthful people. But I am. :) And I am very happy with my security system, for the record lol

Just becuase someone is selling a product you think is s*** or do not like does not mean it's a scam.  You really need to look up the meaning of the word.

This is the customer service office for PHC home security.  I just had it installed and they called to verify my billing information and customer satisfaction questions.  This is not a scam and only call customers whose homes they are responsible for monitoring.  I can vouch for the validity of the phone call.

Got a call on my cell phone. I am not a current customer and have not filled out any forms for them. Not sure how they got my cell #.  Hope it's not going to be a continuous thing that I have to go through the hassel of call block.

I called the Monitronics main line and they told me it was a survey call ( I also had a new alarm system installed). They completed the survey  with me...the calls stopped. So no, it is not a scam. Stop with the fearmongering.

I had an alarm system put in 3 weeks ago & have since received  1-2 calls from both those numbers almost everyday. Every voicemail left advised me NOT to call the main number to Monitronic but to call their direct number back.  I spoke with the woman that kept leaving voicemails TWICE- she hung up on me after I requested verification that she was from Monitronics! After calling Monitronic's MAIN number they advised that it WAS a scammer calling! Monitronics keeps a log of when they call you & when you call them in their computer. They had NO record of these other numbers in their computer NOR them calling me!  Hope all you supporters have good homeowners insurance!

Wow! not a scam? seriously? those of you jumping to the defense of this "telemarketer" because "you've just had a security system installed" and they were following up?  does anyone else see the irony here? by the number of comments supporting these scumbags one thing is clear, I need to get into the bridge selling business!! It's knuckle heads like you that need security systems!! only if they could surgically implant one into your gullible head!!

Not spam. This is the monitoring station that watches my security system. I just had one put in and they called to verify all the information in case the alarm goes off/emergency. They don't ask for any credit cards or anything like that.

They called me once on my cell phone yesterday, and again today from 4762.  I did not pick up either time.  I have NOT had a new security system installed!  I just called back to the 4761 line and it said it was a survey department, now closed, call back in the morning.

Same here.  It is legit and we got a security system installed, good monthly price and no installation fee.

DITTO ! IT'S NOT A SCAM , I RECENTLY CHANGED OVER MY SECURITY SYSTEM TO TRIO ALARM CO . MONITRONICS CO .IS THE MONITORING SERVICE ,FOR THEM ,AND THE MERGING OF SOME OTHER ALARM SYSTEM COS.  IT'S THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE  CALLING FOR A FOLLOW UP TO SURVEY ,AND CONFIRM  MY INFO .AND OPINIONS !

I got a call today from this number also.  It is not a scam.  We had an alarm system installed last week and they were following up to see how the installation went.
