Danielle, on careful and specific questioning, represented herself as an employee of PG&E.  She said that the deal she had was the same as that offered by "direct access" companies, but this was offered directly by PG&E, not a direct access company.  She offered a website - www.eia.gov.  I did call PG&E, who confirmed that PG&E has no such deals, and cannot treat any customer differently, no matter what.  

I got the a similar message "This is Christine from the EEC" wanting to talk to the person who pays the PG&E bill about the recent rate increase mentioned in a bill insert.  After reading all this I'm certain it's scam or at the very least, an annoying sales pitch.  Thanks everyone who has left a note re this number!  MJ

The previous comments say the person said they were FROM pge....they must not have been listening clearly. The rep I spoke to stated she was with another company that did enrollments FOR one of PGE's programs....

Woman claiming PG&E information about rebate on natural gas bill, just call this number.  Poor quality voice message.

Phone call from this # saying we would save money on our gas and electric bill.  Person was hard to understand as it sounded like the phone was to close to her mouth.  She said she was from "Energy ? ?" and they had a "core gas aggregation service".
