I'm wondering if they call themselves MSI also. If so, can anyone get an address out of them? I'm filing complaints with the CFPB against them

It's 2:15 local time and they have called my phone nine times and hung up after one or two rings.  Any legitimate collector, political caller, or telemarketer is not going to behave that way.  

does this company call themselves msi?

I received a call from them over a month ago saying something about owed money and that they have personal info like my social security number. Of course it was the wrong name but when I started asking them information about who they were they told me they were msi and when I asked what that stood for they said it doesn't stand for anything and i kept asking them question about their business until they hung up on me.

well they said they would take my number off the list but they called today. They asked for trisha and i asked them what was the name of your business and they said msi firm and they specialize in arbitrage. when i asked where they were located they said Washington d.c and when i asked for the phone number the lady sighed made a noise like "ugh!" and hung up the phone.

Is there anyway we can sue the, for harassment or something?

Every time I block one number they come up with another one I have legitimately paid all my debts and this still has been going on for the last four tears I have reported them to law enforcement and have the harassment on file there is no stopping them because they are people who are to lazy to get a real job and so try to scam people out of their hard earned money block them and ignore them they are a scam

i received a call from a Nancy Garcia 724--252-8334 threatening legal action and coming to my place of employment left number 1-855-203-2456  scamming.

They called me 6 times in a row, let it ring once and hung up. When I called them back to ask them why they keep calling and hanging up on me they hung up again. I proceeded to do the same thing to them, I called about 20 times and hung up on them. Good way to tie up their phone lines and piss them off too. I really do not understand these scammers or creditors or whatever they are, They call constantly and hang up, how is this going to get them any money?

I think they are hoping a female will answer so they can bully them into paying something, I don't know and I don't care.

"Ed Chandler" has also called me on numerous occasions, claiming my name and number have come up "repeatedly" in a case that has escalated against a roommate I had 7 years ago. When I ask what the case is and how in the world I could possibly be connected to something that involves someone I am not in contact with and someone I've never had any financial collaboration with other than splitting a rent check, I got accused of yelling (as he was yelling at me) and hung up on.  I called back, he said, "Shut up, I told you I wasn't talking to you."  I called back AGAIN and got a woman and asked if she could clarify and if she would please remove my number from their call list.  This was already the 2nd round of me asking this over a period of a few months.  She said she would, and was pretty nice about it.  Then, lo and behold, a month passes and today I get a call from the same number. I pick up and it's a recording from "Ed" whose message says, "WHY DIDN'T YOU CALL ME BACK, HUH? I TOLD YOU THAT YOU NEED TO CALL ABOUT THIS LEGAL ACTION!" etc.  Yelling already even in the message.  Well, one, I didn't call back because I never got a call asking me to after the last time he hung up on me.  I called the number, spoke to who I believe was the same lady who was nice the first time.  Spoiler alert: she was a complete a**hole this time.  I told her I have been assured multiple times after having this SAME conversation that my number would be removed from their list, and she just kept saying that I needed to give them information.  She told me she couldn't discuss what the case was referencing and that she wouldn't give me the name of the company.  I told her from now on they'd be talking to my lawyer.  She laughed like I was lying and asked for his number.  I told her that he would be contacting her.  I asked for an address for a cease and desist to be sent and she hung up on me.  Called back to ask for the name of the buisness and address again and another person answered and also  hung up on me.  Called a third time and got some runaround about the number being a call center for several companies and they didn't know who called me etc. etc., then was summarily dismissed again.  

Bottom line: this is a scam.  Do NOT give these people any information.  Report the number to the AG.  Have the number blocked from calling you.  If they represented a legitimate case or legal action, you would receive a subpoena or notice in writing.

The problem is that maybe 60% of people have access to a computer but only 20% of those are savvy enough to know how to search for information.

Yes, I keep receiving a message that shows as an 800 number. The man says to call 855-442-4902 regarding a complaint against me. Obviously a scam but why can't law enforcement or the FTC trace their call / phone number and arrest them? Seems like it would be pretty easy to track them down.

Said his name was Ed Chandler and there was a claim against my name and SS# and needed a call back in the next 10 minutes.  It was a middle aged AA male.

Report to the FBI, Atty Gen and FTC. Yes, the FBI has an internet crimes division. This is illegal.

These people call my house all day long!!! I called back asking for the mans name that tells me it's urgent I call them. I have a case pending  & am facing civil action against my name # & social security #... They call everyday all day!!! Scammers find a real job!!!!

this number has called husband's cell phone which is not used for any references.....this number has called and hung up about 15 times in the last 4  years....they need to be stopped...

no one stated the name of the company how would you know if they a have been in business for a long time.....oh you might want to use spell check, we know you work for them. you present yourself like a joke online like when you people call and harrass us. Everyone who gets a call you need to ask for a copy of the orignal debt in writing....they cant provide it because there isnt any as this is a scam. Ask for the numbers they are registered with in the city they are calling from so you can verify this is an actual business.... they will pass you person to person because scam businesses arent registered anywhere.

First of all, threatening legal action is a crime, second, telling anything to anyone aside from you is a crime, third, telling you via voicemail or even on the phone that you have been "served" is also illegal and not valid. I got a call today, very worried I checked my credit report... Nothing at all negative, only inquiries are from a credit card that I applied for, my credit score is almost 800. Clearly a scam. I would report the number to the FCC and state/fed attorney general. If you can, record their interaction with you, just make sure you say your recording it right off. They will hang up I'm sure.

Chances are, by pressing you, you authorize them to take money from you by charing your monthly bill.  You may see a charge on your monthly bill now.  They tell you to press 1 to talk to an opertor, or claim your prize, but you're really giving them "authorization" to scam you out of money.  You may see an unwanted charge on your bill that will be 'hard to dispute' since you "authorized the transaction"

I got a threatening call today with little explanation.  I answered and got a recording telling me to call them.  How strange?  They called me and I answered.  I am very suspicious.  I supposedly have something filed against me and need to CALL TODAY.  The recording mentions Jonathan Colby.  He actually states he is with the SS admin, a government agency.
