Harris & Harris are the most unprofessional and rudest bunch of SOB's I've ever talked to. They want 20% down on a payment plan BUT only if you have a
credit card that they can automatically deduct each month. I ask the guy if there were any other options and he said no. So I ask him what if you don't have a credit card and he said "then you can't enter into the payment plan" and then he hung up on me! But all that was after he talked to me like I didn't deserve to be breathing. Major jack _ _ _!

Right. 'Hang in there' and be sure to make contact with your friendly scammers so they can maximize the take. Maybe if they steal enough from you suckers they can afford better phone service. I'm sure a couple of new phone numbers will be coming your way soon as they have to shut down the old ones before law enforcement catches up.

More likely is that the vermin chewed up the phone lines in the boiler -- not the vermin on the phones, I mean the 4-legged kind.

Hang in there. I had 3 attempts (almost 2 hrs each time) all included horrible static. Last connection I barely picked up every other word rep said. Line disconnected but she called me right back. She worked out payment plan according to notice. No reference number is given for payment.....I didn't feel good about it but I believe it will be fine since Harris is a first party collector for NTTA not a 3rd party collection agency.

Just don't hang up....your almost done. Good luck!

Frustrated, when i get through have bad connection and hung up on after at least an hour and 1/2 on hold.
Attempted to call 4 times, bad connection each time. When i actually got connected they couldn't hear me and hung up on me.
Made another attempt and connection still bad.

Hey guys, there is hope! I was on hold for 1 hour and 2 mins... Rep picked up and said they'd call me right back through the bad connection then hung up. Phone rang within 30 seconda and she was there, without a bad connection! The whole process was over 5 mins later.

For the frustrated ones, stay on hold and hopefully you have the same experience. Good luck everyone!

I finally got through to someone at the firm and was able to set up a payment arrangement for my "amnesty balance" everything went relativity smooth until I asked for a confirmation number. Apparently, no payments are actually being processed due to the call volume so therefore no confirmation number can be provided. Im super uncomfortable with that, but then again, I'm uncomfortable with pretty much all of NTTA's practices

Connection is horrible, I've tried from multiple phones. I wonder how many people are going to get screwed by this. Lots of people are reporting hangups, here and ripoff report etc.

When you called NTTA did they let you pay threw them or did they send you back to the 855 number??? Have tried multiple times today to only sit for hours and then have them hang up on me for their horrible connection.  Been trying to call NTTA, but number is always busy. Any insight on how NTTA will handle would be great?

I have been running into the same problem, as did the clerk at the gas station when he called this morning he said. The phone line is very choppy, the gas station clerk said he was barely able to make his payment due to the conditions of communication and that the person on the other end said they were having troubles with their phone line at the collections agency. I have now called NTTA and have explained the scenario to someone and they got their boss on the line. They are helping me resolve the matter.

If they can't handle this kind of high call volume than they should've had someone who can handle it. Good thing is they are there till midnight tonight cst.

This is terribly frustrating.  This is my 4th attempt today.  Last time I was on hold for 1 hr 15 min when they finally got to me but the connection was so bad that we couldn't have a conversation. Everytime I've called, the connection has been bad.  I was hoping that once I got to an actual person, the connection would be better.  But it wasn't.  I kept asking her to repeat herself (I think it was a woman) I guess she gave up and hung up on me.  Ridiculous!  I tried landline and cell both with the same result.  Is this a debt collector trick?  This seems to be happening to too many of us

First time I called I was disconnected on by customer service rep because connection was terrible. The second time I called the connection was just as bad as the first but I gave them my number and asked them to call me back and they did.

Yes I have and when I finally got through the connection was so bad that the rep and I could not understand each other. She said she would have someone call me back and when they did the guy was eating while he left a message (From a Chicago number) when I called the number he left the phone said the number could not be called.

We need to address this with our politicians. The NTTA is a private (Foreign owned) company and is able to use the Texas court system to collect debts (As their own law enforcement essentially), and now hold registrations; other private companies have to use debt collection and there is no threat to peoples ability to drive involved or criminal prosecution.

I been on hold for 2 hours and the rep finally answer and said she couldn't hear me and hung up...now i'm on hold AGAIN. The connection is soo bad, do they not know this? It's not our phone line...it's theirs. They should either fix their phone line or give us more time to pay this...this is just ridiculous.

I have been on hold with them six times today. Got through it hung up on me. Called two days prior to NTTA they could do it then called back yesterday to pay got referred to law firm. The phone service is full of static. A hassle.
