Everyone reporting the collector's various offenses is empowered to sue that dirty collector for FDCPA damages, legal costs to be paid by the loser company. Square One is the hardest when this fraudulent caliber of "collection agency" makes it hard to find an address for process service. But a direct assault is best if you can manage it.

The original lender is covered if it poses as some other business. The FDCPA covers both real and *imaginary* debts. Therefore, an extortionist flunkie in a dingy call center demanding money for some unverified PDL debt is a "debt collector" per FTC definition and 15 USC §1692a(6) and is absolutely expected to obey the FDCPA .... end of story.

Anthony James had returned my message at 6:20am PDT (which I'm sure has to be illegal) after I had left him a message yesterday. He started "ranting" -- I call it that because he did his speech with such gusto that I wasn't able to get a word in -- about how my fiancé is going to be charged in criminal court for "check fraud" by not paying his loan from CashNet USA. I have personally done business with them before and cannot believe that they had stooped this low to threaten people to pay. I had also did a Google search for this firm that Mr. James works for without any phone/address/website listings. As I had continued to ask him for an address, he adamantly refused to disclose that information to me -- a harmless, public piece of information (biggest red flag there -- no address, not a legit business). When I had informed him that in California it is illegal for his business to call before 8am, he became more irate saying that FDCPA does not apply to him. As I continued to ask him questions he discontinued to be professional with me and then started threaten me saying that if I am lying to him that this "taped" conversation will be used as evidence in this "criminal case" and I would be charged for a criminal act, which is a load of crap because he works under a private entity, and not any governing body or law enforcement. In a last attempt to threaten me, he also insulted me by saying that I don't know my rights as a consumer and had no business defending my fiancé. What a joke! If Mr. James really wants habeas corpus, "Come at me, bro."

Yea, this is how thy operate..they repeat the same bull crap over and over..this sounds like miss Amanda  Bennington.."she says she dont play like the guys do, she just turns them over to be prosecuted" they keep saying the person is going to be served, when the person in question calls them they LIE and say they never called..so then they call family, all they want is MONEY FROM SOMEONE..they don't care who it comes from..when you ask about confirmation or send a legitimate bill, they start screaming at you...I also love their lack of social skills..and the poor language etiquette ..

I made a formal complaint with the Washington Attorney General's Office Today. Gave them the number, and everything I knew to that point regarding the calls. I made another complaint with the Ohio Attorney General's Office as well. Lastly I went and called the FTC and processed a complaint there while I was at it. All in all, These organizations are aware of these morons. The numbers that they use and the names of the people that I had the unfortunate displeasure of having to deal with. They are half way intelligent being able to hide under the rocks that they do using technology to their advantage. But they do get caught. they can't hide forever according to the Washington Attorney General. They screw up eventually and when they do. It's all over. So if Brian Davis reads this, know this. I have your number, I know your name. I have a vague idea of where you are all located. I will make it my mission to lead the authorities to your front door so that you and all of your cronies can't do this type of thing to any more people.

These people are some of the most unprofessional so called mediation company I have ever had the displeasure of communicating with. They started off by calling my business customer service phone number trying to reach me. Then they tried calling several of my employees and communicating about my debt that I need to pay off. As soon as I walked into the office they had all of my people in a huge up-roar about the situation. They told my employees that the company was going to get shut down and that everyone was going to lose their jobs because I owed some sort of debt from Sept 2013. They said that they bought the dept from check smart. and are now mediating for a law firm that they refused to name. They are located in Washington that I am aware of now. I called them several times and every person that I spoke with were attacking and just out right ugly in tone about everything that came out of their mouth. They had to have disrespected me personally at least 35 separate times with the rude comments and name calling which got me quite upset. Everything that they did is a HUGE VIOLATION OF THE FEDERAL LAWS. These people need to be prosecuted for this.

I keep getting hassled by this 855-463-8828 number, telling me that a person in my family, who does not live here..owes money, and will be prosecuted if money not paid, who is a grown adult ...they are calling me shouting at me,saying threatening things, as if they think I'm going to cough up money to them..what kind of people are they any way?  Who are these people..if they are a reputable outfit, why are they hassling me, when you can google anyone today..I turned this over to my attorney..

She started yelling that I have received more than enough correspondence to know how much I paid and the company is not going to "jump through hoops for me". In addition, I said "Would you just let me speak to a supervisor?" and she said "At this point, I would just rather you get served." (because supposedly, a process server was being sent out to my home or office to serve me on criminal and civil charges for debt not paid to CashNetUSA). I finally got over to as supervisor, who, within 2 minutes of the call sent me the e-mail. Unfortunately, they are a legitimate debt collector, but their employees are shady and rude!!

I have been dealing with them for 3 days and today, when I asked for confirmation of debt, before they could collect- she started yelling at me to check my credit report, I obviously took out the loan and I should pay it next time. She then said "I don't care- I would rather you be served, at this time" , since she had threatened a process server would come to my home or office.

i dealt with this company aswell paid my debt off the gentleman was very nice! got me on the line with payment verification i got a nice email and receipt to what the arrangements were and the debt was taken off my credit report, no court no nothing! very professional people, i dont see what those other people are talking about must be professional debtors or something, me personaly i hate owing people money i feel relieved its taken care of =)

I had a debt with cashnet usa that i totally forgot about and this company calls me to inform me of my case i looked up the number on here and seen this and decided not to pay, not only do i have to pay my child support now but the state of ohio now garnishes 25% of my wages! good job everyone you give real good advice to all the people who owe money out there, i listened to yall and what they were saying was really true! anyone else who listens to these people on here is a dam fool. pay your debts people, its not free money, now i gotta learn the hard way
