Inceptia, a division of National Student Loan Program, was established in spring 2012 to address the changes in government funding and administration of federal student aid programs. Inceptia will help schools, students and borrowers by providing financial education to our youth, working with schools toward the goal of 100 percent repayment by borrowers and focusing on addressing schools? need for better financial aid management and financial education services. Inceptia provides tools and resources to help schools and their students?not just borrowers?become financially responsible adults.

These people will not stop calling my cell phone. I've told them to stop and have had they're number blacklisted on my phone for over 2 months now, they still call 3-4 times a day EVERY day. Unfortunately the blacklist just forwards to voicemail so now they're flooding my voicemail looking for some girl named Chastity.
I've seen some pushy telemarketers before, but I've never seen one as bad as these people. They ignore the DNC, they ignore requests to stop, they don't even care they obviously have the wrong number, just relentless harassment for months.

Just got a message that they are from the State of Connecticut trying to serve me with papers for 2 charges of bank fraud. Hmmm...if that was true...they would have come to my apt!

So I got a letter today from Inceptia, and the number they have on their letter is (855)471-1614 NOT (855)471-1615. So either the number ending in 5 is a scam trying to be as close to the real Inceptia as they could, or it's a different department in Inceptia.

They've called me twice this week. I answered the first time, and I said "hello....hello...." then hung up with no responses during the "...". The second one I didn't answer but they left a voice message which freaked me out, because it was silence at first and then started to replay what I had said during the call I answered.

I have been getting calls at least 3 times a day from this same number for two weeks. I have no debt, have no student loans. When they call no one says anything. I am not going to try to call it back since I know the phone scam thing has been going on where if you call back, they charge you for it. It is so annoying!!!!
Rebecca 2014-02-22 16:32:52 Unknown
Could this be one of the numbers where you return the call and are charged $19.95 per minute? Has anyone checked their bill after either answering or returning the call?

I decided to call and figure out who they are and what the want. I found out they were called inceptia and was looking for a person that I have no idea who they are. So, I am assuming they are a debt collector, but I don't have viable evidence.

It's now called Gulf Coast State College, so the info is probably outdated.
Kevin C 2014-02-06 02:09:25 Debt Collector
They called again and said they were a company called Inceptia, or something like that, representing the Gulf Coast Community College.

This number calls almost everyday but they are never on the phone when I answer. I just wish they would stop calling.
Bb 2013-10-31 06:42:39 Unknown
They call my husband once a day or more. Never answer, and they never leave a message. My husband has student loans, but they are all currently paid and in good standing. No other debt.

This number has called me 11 times this week. The first time I answered it was an indian woman asking me if I'm looking for a job and if I had posted to a list of job boards. I couldn't understand her so I hung up. They call me everday now. No one wanting to hire u would call that much! Its obviously a scam. My call blocker feature on my phone won't even block it, don't understand. Its annoying!

Congress needs to do something about these abusive callers. Why do they waste my cell phone minutes? I thought robo calls were illeagal to cell phones.
KRed 2013-08-27 01:24:54 Unknown
They keep calling at least 2 times a day. I will not answer until they leave aesssage notifying me of who they are and end what they want.
Grrrrr 2013-07-11 00:01:42 Unknown
They call every day, sometimes more than once a day. I do not answer unknown callers and they do not leave a voice mail to become a known caller. I have not, nor have I ever had a student loan and neither do my children.

Why are they calling me- I have no student loans!
Unknown 2013-05-30 20:01:32 Unknown
This number has called me four times within a period of two weeks. Getting annoyed. I don't answer but will next time just to scare the idiots off.
d 2013-04-26 01:03:12 Unknown
they call to give assistance bringing past due student loans current.... they don't ask for payments, they just call to see if you need help with your student loans

'M' they are probably wanting information about how to locate her. Now, you do know that you don't have to tell them a bloomin thing. To stop them from calling you, send them a certified Cease and Desist/w signature request letter. If they are a legitimate company, they will be legally bound to stop calling.

I thought it was Great Lakes (college loan)? Its the only bill other than utilities and monthly house payment that we owe. The Stafford Loan was for my daughter in 2009.
