is this   scam

Getting weird txts on my cell phone from 8552164367.  Have never called the number, figured it was some sort of scam

I strongly suspect most of them are perfectly aware people are being scammed for fraudulent debt, often by them.    I also think it's interesting that after one of their "pay your bills" diatribes, and someone responds with the patently obvious fact that much alleged "consumer debt" is in fact utterly fraudulent, they never respond; rather they act like they can't hear what was said and keep right on ranting.    They know it's true; they have no response.

At least I don't scam for a living or shill for that matter.

The leeches are so clueless that they think everyone owes a debt. What they fail to understand is that some of us are being scammed by these fools and we owe no debt whatsoever. They also know that there are people here who are trying to prevent their cons and that we can buy their a**es with the lunch money in our wallets. Nothing gets angrier than a broke, low-life, minimum wage debt collector who's too dim-witted to make his scams work anymore. Except maybe his ex-con boss.

Many of us on this thread are NOT getting calls from you scam artists.  We're here exposing your lies and stupidity.  (And having a really good laugh at how stupid you are, typing all caps and making all sorts of incorrect assumptions.)  The more you post, the more you show what a desperate and stupid shill you really are.

If these freaks are a legit collection agency, why are they hiding in a boiler room refusing to call people with a legit number? I think the frauds are frustrated cause they can't rip people off. What a bunch of sad losers.

Well here we go,some say (scammers) legit collection agency and others on here say no way, it's Chis. I am here to tell you that I also got the call about I have 24 hours to make a statement or else, funny thing they called my phone we hours of night (which i not legal after a certain time) and the message is identical to the previous scam by Chris. I never had a bad check and never did not pay something but evidently my phone number was given to Chris and his band of scammers.
NO your rights and avoid being scammed.

I am so angry that scammers out there like you exist! You should never call from this number 855 476-0260 and say that you are a private investigator just to intimadate someone to call you back. A crazy name investigator Elevan Dowsky called from the number 855 475-0260, stating that the police will be waiting in front of the indivduals door is so wrong..and you are leaving this information on the voicemail of the person's references. That is illegal and wrong to put business information out there on a person. You guys are persons information and you ard using it to your adavantage to make yourself money! You people are very rude and if someone owes money, why are you making threats on their references voicemail that you retrieved somehow? You are Fraud trying to intimdate people to put money in your own pockets because yourtreats are out of control. You need to be locked up!

Good for You.....And when they provide all of the necessary paperwork that has been requested by others,  then maybe they can review the validity of it and give reasonable consideration of an acceptable solution.

Put it in writing and in the US Mail,  On letterhead stock,  complete with the collectors true name, phone number,  address (including physical address) and be sure to include the license to collect in that state, validation of ownership of the debt,   and the legal right to collect.  That should do it!!!!

Oh yes,  he should have the address to mail to without first soliciting such information from the person he claims to have the good on.

Lisa,  never,  never,  ever send or accept Email or fax as a method of exchanging information of a legal nature,  expecially with an unknown source.  The only acceptable way is via USPS mail or  a similar common carrier.
This guy is obligated to provide you with written validation,  etc. in writing,   and provide an address of his own for your exchange of written communications.  If he won't provide this, he doesn't have what it takes for a legal collecdtions. He apparently doesn't even have your address,  yet he is demanding payment. (meaning he probably has nothing to validate with and what he does have is more than likely out of SOL.)
