Could you be a member of this call group that's calling and p*ssing people off? Consider a conscious again. Maybe I meant ' i '. Maybe I meant ' a ' in my intentionally blocked word above. So, don't block this post. People deserve to know they were made aware of this forum topic some callers ago. Now, every-so-often, they are chiming in with messages of sunshine, hope, legitimacy and WOAH! Ten dollars to send in documents of yourself.

Maybe i'm just disgruntled. Maybe we're all just tired of it. Or, maybe we're all just complainers. You know, the argumentative types.

I registered at WalMart for their new American Express (BlueBird) Card. They have an outside the country sales department when you purchase the card. However, to validate it and live up to American Expresses terms, you have to validate yourself further. By sending in a controlled state or fed document proving your identity.

Ok, in this day and age, everyone is gun-shy about releasing their identity and further, documents to prove their real identity as it all can be stolen. I managed to validate myself to meet WalMarts terms to sell these American Express (BlueBird) cards. But what they don't tell you is that i'm finishing up my 3rd week at trying to validate myself as a real American. I'd never suggest purchasing one of these cards unless you wish to freely hand out your credentials. I told them I was dissatisfied. They basically didn't care. They're big and bad in the whole realm of things.

Long and short of it,... I was given that exact phone number to fax my birth certificate, state or federal identification, social security card, etc. Am I a little nervous now researching this fax number they gave me today to fax these items to? Hell to the yeah.

Be cautious at anyone you do business with. This may be a legitimate business you've encountered. Now how moral that 'legitimate' business is might be entirely up for grabs. I think i'll be turning my BlueCard back in at WalMart and going with their ten other choices.

Uggghhh... just like most. I have no idea if these guys are legit. Even WalMart makes deals with the devil or makes mistakes. We just end up on one of their 'client' lists. Lost in a mess that can never be taken care of.

Sorry for my rant. Tired of what is happening to our country from the sharks. Partnered with American Express, no one (not even the government) seems to dig too deep on their partnerships.

Yes, this is southern california edison, about their budget program. Just call the number back and select the option to remove your number from the call back list....

It's a company calling on the behalf of SCE.  Call the number that called you 855-477-4404 and press 1, 1 and you'll be removed.

Answer your phone if someone calls you from this # ! It's SCE trying to sign up people for their Budget Assistance program. I'm being rewarded with a $10. MasterCard gift card just for signing up. Other $10. cards are for Amazon & Fandago movie tickets. The gift card giveaway is for a limited time. It took less than 5 minutes to sign up.

they called asking for a name that is only on my Southern Cal Edison account - they got the # and name from Edison either bought the list from Edison or has a deal going with Edison

I just received the call from this number and answered it.  They said that they were Southern California Edison and wanted to see if I was interested in their new budgeting program.  When I said no, he was very aggressive.  I told him to put me on the do not call list for this program.  I highly doubt this is really SCE, seemed more like a scam to me.

Received this call on a Monday at 3:50 P.M. I did not pick up. Left a blank voicemail.

they say they are with california edison, trying to sell me program, but i doubt it.

This is a telemarketer calling on behalf of Southern Calif. Edison.  Call the number back and select the option to have your number removed from their calling list.  Worked for me.

I started receiving calls from this number yesterday.  11:15 am and again around 7:30pm.  I am not a SCE customer...I live in Arizona.  I am also on the Do Not Call List.  Any other thoughts?

If you are a customer of theirs, they are allowed to call you. DO-NOT-CALL-LIST only prevent calls from companies who you have no business relationship with.

I called the number back.  It is in fact a sales call from SCE.  It gave me the option to take my number off their list, which I did.  Hopefully it worked and they won't call back.  Not sure why they would be calling out of state numbers.....

I live in Philadelphia so doubt SCE is calling me. More likely it's a telemarketing/calling service with more than one customer. Started getting calls from them this weekend. Good way to get rid of them, answer the call so a human answers (costs them money), don't say anything to them, put the phone in your pocket/purse, leave on car seat so they can hear the radio, basically just go about your business. They hang up shortly, after a dozen or so attempts they stop.

This call is from Southern Caklifornia Edison. If the automated call detects an answering machine it hangs up. I called back the number and spoke with a rep who only explains SCE's new program. This is a valid call, and as long as you are a SCE customer they can call you, even if you are on the DO NOT CALL list. I informed the rep that there are a lot of irate people out here not knowing who has called them.

Call came in at 11.15 AM this morning from this number.  When I picked up, no one was on the line.

Just got a call from this number.  It was from Southern California Edison, asking if I received a mail about budget program that SCE has.

I too am on the "Do not call" list.  What are they thinking by repeatedly calling?  That it will make us  eager and grateful for their tenacity  to purchase something from them?

I don't know who you are and you wouldn't answer me. I'm on the do not call list, please stop calling and remove my number.
