This number phones us from time to time. Picked it up and was immediately placed on hold. Was told to please hold for the next available representative, call will be recorded, could take up to 3 minutes. This was repeated about three times before it sounded like the call was being routed through to somebody. Then the call disconnected. This isn't the only number related to PiC that has phoned us before, and I'm sure it won't be the last, as when we do manage to talk to somebody, we find out that they are looking for somebody who we have no familiarity with, as we have no current outstanding debts. Almost tempted to tell them to wipe the phone number from their database as they continuously seem to keep calling for different people. I can understand misdialling once, talking to the individual, realizing the mistake, but to have the same number, as well as different numbers, phoning, looking for people, I have to wonder if they got their heads screwed on straight at PiC.

I got a call at my place of business and I called the number back. A woman answered: Partners In Credit, Megan speaking.

I received a call from these people.  They left a message on my machine and would not say who it was.  They only left a file number to quote when I returned their call.  I didn't bother, if they cannot leave the name of the company, then I am not returning their call

This number is calling my work line and placing me on hold for two mins and than it rings and rings.  When I try to call the number rings and rings.

People they are not a scam they are debt collectors!! You owe someone money and these ppl have bought that debt form the company you owe! They want to recover monies for the person you owe money to. As soon as you admit who you are and that you owe the original person money they will proceed with harassing calls and demand money. Do not admit to anything ppl! Ask them to send you the original debt. By the time they get the original paperwork to you it will be awhile if they can even obtain it in some cases. Once they send it to you you now have the original order they dont!! Once you have that it is going to be very very hard pressed for them to pursue with you as now you hold any original documents that indicate you owe anyone money. Do not accept photocopies! They are not the original and can be easily made up and printed off.... you want to original with your signature on it!!!!! Oh and they have many numbers they call from not just this number...

They are a credit  company who has bought your debt from your original debtor and they are trying to collect for the person you owe money too. They are a company who bought the debt to try to recover monies. Do not admit to anything over the phone and or give personal information . Ask them to send to you in its original form the Original Order of Indebtedness in its Original Form. They will hmmm and ahhhhh cause they dont have it. The original person who you owe money too has it. TheY bought the debt so its their problem now. They will need to get ahold of the original debtor and get your original contract and send it to you before you say anything!! They are not scammers they are a company who is looking for you to clear up your original debt with another company. DO NOT ADMIT TO THE DEBT AS SOON AS YOU DO THEY WILL HOUND YOU AND HOUND YOU! Ask for it is writing and when you get it send them a letter back saying I have never nor will I deal with you period I do not have a debt with (person calling) so I will not deal with you. Period

just found out that they are a scam firm running supposedly out of LA...my advice to any of you still recieving these calls.do not answer,do not give out any of your information and do not give them your address either.
they have scamed alot of people and have already been fined for doing so,im surprised that they haven't been shut down yet!!

got a message from this number telling me to call them back toll free at - get this - my own home phone number, with reference number - you guessed it - my phone number

Just got a call from the same number. Woman left a message (her name is Tracey) and asked me to call back. I called but the number is not in service.

Nearly every day when I come home from work, to greet me is a computerized sounding voicemail stating that " this is NOT a marketing call and despite repeated attempts, we have not been able to reach you about an important poersonal matter"  or something to that effect.

The female voice gives a call back number for me 1-855-483-0979 and then a file number to provide once I reach someone.
I'm never going to call of course, but has anyone else ever had a call from that number, or know what the scam is.
Just curious. They're very annoying.
