Funny thing is, anyone can be a process server but the gall of these people going after a debt that was paid off through the original debtor is rediculous. I called the company I paid and asked them if they had sold my account. They gave me this companies name and said yes. I paid the original creditor the balance + fees and then called the debt collection agency. They clearly stated that i would have to pay all legal fees and for the SHERIFF who was paid to serve me papers to clear my name... That there is impersonating a LEO. I asked them to show me proof of any charges and they said its confidential. They are liars and the case # is something they use not file. The threatening phone calls and hang ups are harrassment AND will be taken care of in court..

You know Derrick you are absolutely right, it must all be just be  a big coincidence that you posted just a few minutes after I called 855 491 9744 and talked to a guy named Derrick and then posted to this forum regarding this phone number and company. I'm sure alot of people just pop up on this forum talking about what a great deal the debt collection agency made them. By the way Derrick, how did you come to post on this particular forum regarding this particular phone number? Just another coincidence I guess.

You are such a fool you didn't even have the brains to use a different name when you trolled the forum. It's all on record, Ca AG has received complaint, FTC also, not to mention SB county S.D. report for impersonating a LEO, oh by the way, a subpoena to 800notes.com for IP addresses is on the way. They called my sister's house and said they were with the DA's office, if you can believe that. They said they needed to serve me with papers... and that I had 24 hours to contact them back. They really are stupid. I guess they have never heard of this thing called the internet, and that just about anything can be found out online. SMH

File a report with the FTC and AG of whatever state you live in, then file a CRIMINAL complaint against them for impersonating a law enforcement officer and  doing so with the intent of extortion. These guys tried to pull the "sheriff" routine with me today and they f****d up BIGTIME, they are in for some serious trouble.

this crazy people called me to deposit money if not a sheriff will be at my door! and i told them do not worry if i have some problems i will call the sheriff or police myself to see what problems do I have, so I went to the station and pull my record and ask them.  guess what? nothing. I work for a division for the county. they never guess that. honestly i hope they get caught and pay with many years of prison.

I wonder if Derrick S posted that from a computer at his work? So if Derrick S does work for S Morgan and Assoc, then his post, in which he describes the company tactics as "not the greatest or even legal to do" could be traced directly back to the IP at his office computer then we would have a company employee admitting that he breaks the law. Not very smart Derrick, I'll mention this in all the complaints I'm filing, I'm sure 800notes.com logs all IP's.

Anyone here who has had same experience need to do the same: report these guys, most of all call your local Sheriff or PD and file complaint and give them all these guys info.

Got the address, they are in Ontario , filed complaints with Ca AG and the FTC and now I'm calling  the Santa Barbara County Sheriffs Office (the real sheriffs)  and filing a complaint for impersonating a law enforcement officer. Have fun in court S Morgan and Associates :-)

Ok, so what does that have to do with impersonating a Sheriff? We are talking about impersonating a LE officer and  don't call me a deadbeat because you don't know what you're talking about. Your story sounds like bs, wouldn't surprise me if you work these guys and are trolling this website. Again, the original point: you go to jail for impersonating a LE officer.

I just did online complaint with Ca AG office, don't know if it will do any good or not. Does anybody know the actual address and location of this company, google gave me conflicting info.

got a call to my sisters ??? called in and spoke with the legal department was very skeptical as to the company being legitimate or not...they sent me a email with the case i do remember the card so i set up a settlement and luckily got a HUGE discount people!! very happy with outcome i was trying to fix my credit anyways so i settled out got a great deal in writing and i pulled up my own credit report and it does show their name on it so i verified for myself and matched it up with what they sent me.....definitely real company although their tactics may not be the greatest or even legal to do im glad I called and got his great deal and squared away on this account.....completely satisfied i used the money and owed the debt so i payed it even thought it was much less i still had the agreement to have this shown as paid in full to all 3 credit bureaus and to top it off no 1099 at the end of the year!!! SWEET!!! take advantage if you can people...or just be dead beats trying to work the system like every one else...i own up to what i do and owe and very proud of it

I received a call from a seperate 'Restricted' number and they stated, a sheriff officer was on his way to serve me with paperwork for a court date. And that if I did not make the court date, a bench warrrant would be put out for my arrest. I called the number the person provided, along with the "case number" I was given. They asked I work our a payment arrangement in order to avoid the sheriff.

Immediately became suspicious when the person I spoke to was aggressive to collect. When I asked 'who' made the original call to me, they stated, "A court assistant in the county of Riverside" (well, that could be anybody iliving in Riverside County). I aksed him, if it was the actual "court offices" and they declined to say.

Don't be fooled!! Another collection tactic that sure can fool a lot of people. A total of 4 months, and no sheriff!!!

Called my work and told office manager that they were the sheriff dept and did I want to be served papers at work. Posing as a Sheriff? This can't be legal. Need some feedback where to report these guys to. They didn't leave a company name just a number, I got the company name when I googled the number.

These people called my exwife first and said that she would be liable for any of my debts. So I called them back and arranged a  "payment" plan. Now I have to cancel my debit card to avoid these people.  They are quite devious!!

If the anonymous caller; leaves no name and a lengthy threaten. Such as the courts are trying to issue you with case number such and such. This is a fraudulent call. So there for this co. or person is using our judicial systems to collect or gain profit.
