Did you actually file the complaint to the Federal Trade Commission? They left the same message for my sister in law

My friends and family and the bank my sister-in-law banks with, all received a call saying to I had to call this 855-517-6382 number or I would be charged with failure to appear because there was a lawsuit filed against me. I called and they did not want to give much information. Little did they know I am a Paralegal. I did some research and found that by having contacted all those people and telling them they had filed a suit when in fact they had not and telling me that if I did not pay they would charge me with fraud and implicating that I had engaged in criminal activity....the violated the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practice Act. I told them I was calling the Federal Trade Commission and reporting them. I stated so many sections of the Act in which they have violated, they hung up on me.

Received a call claiming that I wrote a bad check and that I was being sued. Claimed that I have now been served. As if I don't know I can't be served over the phone! I think it's a scam. I have NEVER written a bad check in my life!

rec call claiming to be process server for some case but when you call back they dont give company name and they want you to leave message. something fishy
