No, it's not the real deal.  No one calls you ahead of time to tell you that you'll be served.  The court process server just comes out and hands you the papers.  Call your local courts - you don't have any charges against you.  If you're still worried, call your local police - they'll also tell you it's a scam.  If the call was legitimate, the caller ID should state who is calling - not "unknown".  Please read about the FDCPA and learn your rights as consumers.

NO ONE calls to give a heads up that you are going to be arrested, or have court papers served.  This is a scam.  No, it is not legal to make threats like this.  Debt is a civil matter, not criminal, so no one is going to be arrested.  Scammers make threats like this to scare people into paying bogus debts.  Remember, per the FDCPA, legally debt collectors must mail you documentation proving that you owe a debt to them.  If they refuse to send you this proof - you owe them nothing.  Report the calls to the FTC, the FBI and your state's Attorney General.  When the scammers call back, tell them that you are recording all calls from them to give to your attorney for your lawsuit against them for multiple violations of the FDCPA.

The same call (4 times, 2 at work and 2 on cell on a span of 2 days) except from Yamhill county and says they don't have a home address but have now verified my work and I will be served at work.  I have 3 charges brought against me and they're calling from the county summons office. Gave me the same number to call and said if i don't respond a bench warrant will be issued

What happened to the others? Is this the real deal? The call comes though as unknown.

I just got a vm from stating they can't confirm my address but there are 3 charges against me and I need to contact Lewinsky & assoc ASAP or I'll be serve at my place of business. Ms. Rebecca Lewis claims she is with the County processing & Petition division

Calling and hassle about a bill i already paid off in 2011

Hey Chris were you able to confirm they are bogus...i called back just to see who anwsers, they said Lewensy and Associates, however I didnt give any of my info because i cant seem to find this company or phone number any where online and even when i call information i come up with nothing...is it legal for these ppl to call and make such threatening calls? This is very disturbing to say the least! Very!

Got a call from this number at my job,Her name was Virginia from Travis County Officce and that I had 3 charges against me,that i needed to contact Lewensky Associates ,and if I dont they will Serve me at my house or my Job,This is so sickening that these idiots do these things

got a call from someone named Sandra Marvin said she is calling from the county and says I could get arrested at my home or at work, they have 3 charges against me and I am to contack Lewensky and Associates at 855-529-7674, I said what are you talking about she said she works for the courts in the summons now she tells that not what i said she is working on behalf of Lewensky and Associates so bull told me to act responsibly other I will go to jail if i dont call them

Called and left message as a David regarding need for contacting this number within 48 hours. So tires of getting such calls for bogous things that are not true!! Not sure how they keep calling since number is unlisted. Frustrated doesn't even begin to describe what I feel!!
