I was 'traced' down by a company named ASFG. The person looking for me disclosed all my personal information to someone I hardly know and made threats of serving me papers at my place of employment.  I was asked to call this number - 877-628-3381.  I unfortunately fell victim to their bullying and threats and gave them my debit card number and set up payment arrangements.  I was able to block my account but not before they took $300 out. The person I spoke to made the whole process very painless for me, almost too painless. After they got my debit card information from me I asked what name I would see on the transaction through my bank - I was told it would say 'ASFG', (the name that is shown on the transaction is UNITED).  I then asked them to repeat their company name and what the letters stood for - their response 'It's the initials of our attorneys."  I then asked them the names of the attorney's and they wouldn't answer. I began to ask for their mailing address and information and was hung up on mid sentence. Don't give in to their scare tactics; I was uneducated as to what my rights as a consumer were and was unable to identify the red flags! class action law suit needs to filed on this company, they call themselves  AFSG Legal. I made a mistake and paid 50.00 for my husdand, because they sd they were going to file a lawsuite for fraud  because he never finished paying this payday loan off. My husband bank said it looks as if he did pay it off. This company sd he would have to pay 4,000.00 for a 300.00 loan.My husband didn't want anything more on his credit so he said he would pay and get his money back later when they see that he paid already. This company AFSG legal went into my account without my ok and took 490.00 out of my checking, when i called them about this they told me that they would pull the recording to see what was said when i called in the 50.00 down payment.they said i authorized it, yes just for the one  time payment of 50.00 not 490.00. I requested to see the  print out of the recording but they sd no, check this out any collection company or law office when you call in the first thing would be to read you the miranda law and state all call are being recored. This company doesn't do either.Let's pull togehter and get the law to help people like us to shut down companies like this one.

Said she wanted to talk to me about pending charges. Called my county law enforcement and they said I have no pending charges.  The number is 877-628-3406.  The federal trade commission said that they were onto this scam and not to give them any information. They said if you have caller id you are better off just ignoring the calls. Don't feed the bottom-feeders.

These people are disgusting.  This is a scam.  These people are uneducated and unemployed.  They are stupid imbeciles with no life and no pride.  They walk around in pajamas all day calling hard working people at their jobs to trick them out of their hard working money.  They do all of this so they can sit around, use drugs, and drink malt liquor.  I actually feel sorry for these idiots as they have no means of making money other than "trickery."  I guess the thought never crossed their minds to go to school, get a good education, and get a real job.  At the end of the day these people still have to look in the mirror.  They have no integrity, morals, or ethics.  They go through life as waste discarded, living hand to mouth, and not knowing where their next meal will come from.  They are vile vultures who are evil and a disgrace to all mankind.  There are people who steal, murder, and cheat.  These people are no better.  Many people that I talked to have not ever received a loan.  They simply applied online.  They applied online through an unsecure site which compromised their personal information. Even people who were co-signers to loans that were never approved are being scammed.  It is good that there are forums to air out these cold, calculated, uneducated, evil, disgusting life forms. They must constantly recycle names, phone numbers, and company names.  This is why you will see a number with several comments on one day regarding a number.  Then there will be a lapse.  Then you'll see another number, with a new name, with the same comments.  The one thing that I do believe in is JESUS CHRIST.  I know that he will spare me from evil.  These people will one day have to account for all the lies, deceit, and terror that they cause daily in the lives on innocent people.  You reap what you sow. These people can fool people sometime but they can NEVER make a fool out of God.

add another phone number to the list. they are branching out it seems. they called me from 877-628-2416. i've had a lot of calls from people like this. don't believe them, they are a scam. in maryland, you can see for yourself if anything is filed against you, go to google and pull up Maryland Judiciary Case Search.  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY EXTRA INFO. in fact, ask them for THEIR info. tell them if they want you to take them seriously, they should give you their mailing address so your attorney can contact them directly. if they are legit, then they should have no problem with that.

Yes at fist I was afraid and scared when they were calling leaving messages about coming to my job... but then when I seen these posts I decided to call back and the man "Micheal Archey" that answered cussed me out and told me to go stand in the unemoployment line. and when i asked where they were located all he could tell me was the east coast... and hung up on me because I called him a fraud! This is some crazy ish. A woman by the name Lena Poole called my job and stated I took out a loan for $250 with the Mass Street Group. She said that they have tried to get the funds owed out of my bank account 3x and it was denied. She claimed I wrote a bad check and how they would process paper work for Cook County Courts to pin a case on me for check fraud! I was at work in shock that I will be sued for $250 that is now $430 owed and for an online loan. Really????! Now I feel like I've been played. I paid this ASFG Company $100, the last of my money and now I don't have money to carry me into next week!!!SMH

This company will NEVER get another dime from me. I have been harassed by them for 3 weeks and they somehow found my mothers phone number and called her telling her I have papers filed for me and blah blah blah. I called them right away and was stupid enough to give them my credit card number (which I am going to cancel in the morning) and I talked to Michael Arch THE BIGGEST JACK*** I have ever talked to in my life. i don't know how people allow this folks to sike you out, go online and look and see if they have a case against you example "NEW JERSEY JUDICIARY SEARCH CASE" AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. I just got a call from a gentleman stating he was local to l my area and if I didn't call AFSG they would serve me papers. When I called 855-568-8480 the lady had my name and gave me an address where I reside that I have NEVER heard of.  I kept asking for information and she hung up on me. Like a previous poster, I called back and hit 0 to see if I could speak with someone else but she transferred me back to the same lady who was again very rude and she hung up on me again. A few minutes later the same man from this so called sheriffs office called back and told me that making threats wouldn't help and that they would find me and hung up. I plan on talking to our Legal Advisor at work tomorrow to see if he thinks I should do anything else to protect myself but honestly, I know I can't worry too much as I didnt do Any of the things this so called company says I did.

AFSG is a scam. They had someone call me saying he was local to my area and was going to come serve me if I didn't call 1-855-576-6304 and give them money. So I called this place and told them if I owed them a debt I would gladly pay it, all they had to do was send me a statement of the services I recieved. The "manager" refused to send me anything. First of all if someone is going to serve you they don't call you and say Im going to come serve you. Second if a company cannot produce a statement of services do not give them any money. Tell them to serve you. I reported them to the FTC. If they call you back and you have the ability to record the call you should do so. After your done talking to you tell them that you recorded the call and will be turning it over to the authorties.

...My mom received a call from a guy named "Thomas Little" from a 855-566-0487. She was worried and passed on the message from him for me to contact them. He claimed he got a a cases on me for writing a fraudulent check, and breach of contract and started naming some clause I broke and would  be turning my case into the DA's office within an hour if I did not call him back.. he knew the exact amount I owed down to the pennies! And the name of the pd loan company I used.. so I believed him at first. I told him I could do a payment arrangement he said hell see what he could do because they didn't have a payment processing center.and that the payment would have to be authorized by a lawyer I then said before I gave him my info  if I could have a copy of the legal documents or case or whatever he was referring too. he the proceeded to get loud and indignant with me  and said that I couldn't get a copy until I made a payment and it goes thru and made up excuses as to why I couldn't get one before then. I cussed him out and Hung up. They have not called  me back so far.

Ok these people just told the first time that I talked to them that I had two make 2 payments of 170 so we set up payment arrangements on aug 9 and aug 23 i made one payment of 170 on aug 9 then i found this blog and didn't make the payment of 170 on aug 23 cuz i found out it was a scam. So they called me on aug 23 saying that i needed to contact them or that they would forward my account to attonrney generals office so i ignored them and they kept calling me saying that they needed to hear from me by 4:00 that day or it would be my last chance. They just called me and told me that I know have until oct 12,2012 to pay it. But at first she told me i had to have it payed by end of august. Come on get your ish together. They are nothing but a scam and im not paying them a cent.

I rec'd a call from them also contact #:1855-547-1399... talked with them several times even setup pay arrangements, I was told that I borrowed $350.00 online and they were going to take me to court and could get 3xs that amt.... they also said I wrote a bad check, I don't understand how you can write a bad check online, if you do not even own a check book... I need to see who I can contact about this I will be doing some research this weekend because I refuse to give my money to a company just because they say they can take me to court.

I just gave these people 170 dollars of my hard earned money. What do I do they have me set up to make another payment on the 23rd of this month. I don't want to go to jail and I don't want to loose my money but Im afraid I don't know if its true or not.Someone help me.

These people are absolutely disgusting they scared the s*** outta me until I saw all these posts although i did suspect it was a scam because since when do they warn u theyre serving u papers!? I also was stalked at work and they talked to my boss who thank god is cool and told her it was a serious financial matter and i needed to contact them immediately or they serve me at work! How embarrassing and disgustig and the scareybthing is they had the name of a loan i had in the past so u start to believe them. I have two diff numbers calling me: 855-212-5931 and 855-557-5404 saying its Daniel Shaffer or Timothy Parker both sounded american but every single time i called back no one answers u can leave a VM but theyll call u back like an hour later and arent in my time zone because he would ask me what time it was there. Its a f****ng scam this has happened to me a year ago and they did the same exact s*** to me except they had rhe thickest indian accents but with the most generic american names! TELL THEM YOUVE REPORTED THEM TO THE ATTORNEY GENERAL AND POLICE AND THAT DOES THE TRICK! They will then proceed to cuss u out and tell u theyll see u in court or jail- any last pathetic attempt to scare u cuz theyre pissed we didnt fall for it. I received the first call from a John Mc?? from an 855-210-4703 his message was tha he was retained to validate my address because I had a case in their office and also gave me that number as well.  He said I was being criminally investigated and I needed to call a Patrick Casey at 888-303-3634.  Sure enough this guy tells me that some papers were coming....before calling him I had already called the district attorneys office in my county and the Federal Trade Commission to file a complaint.  I too have receied several calls from companies like this trying to put fear in me.  File a conplaint on the federal trade commissions website if you hear from these offroad idiots!

Whatever you do, don't answer or give these people any information.  As for the posts that claim this is a legit firm and they have been in jail, or had papers served, etc., DON'T BELIEVE IT.  I suspect the people making these posts are working from this boiler room scam site.  Legitimate legal firms do not CALL you to tell you they are going to serve papers.  They just serve them.  Legitimate criminal charges are filed with law enforcement and any calls they make to you will be properly identified.  In addition, civil matters are NOT criminal matters.  If they  say you are going to be arrested for a pay day loan...tell them they are NUTS.  BE VERY CAREFUL.  This kind of scam has been floating around for a long time.  They call and say all sorts of things to get you to give them money to avoid unpleasant conditions.  Legal businesses accurately identify themselves on caller ID and/or use the US postal system.  Don't get fooled.
