I got the same call from a lady named Jennifer. She said she called me from Microsoft Operating System and was trying to help me. I asked for a call back number and she gave me 855-539-4928. She had a heavy thick accent, almost hard to understand.

I received same call and they wanted my IP address from my computer said he was from Microsoft ??

"Chris Williams" called on 6-5-2014 at about 12 pm and gave the same speech about ID#'s and corrupted computer, etc.  He gave this phone # but also gave his extension as #1007.  I didn't realize these guys were large enough to have a call center and his accent sounded East Indian or thereabouts.  We told them we have those services covered and to never call back again.

Harry called 6-2-14 @ 4 p.m.  Said he was a Windows Tech and they have rec'd an error message/code and needed me to log onto my windows so they could show me what was going on.  He explained that someone was using/looking at my IP address and could see everything I was doing.

Asked what my IP Address was and he said he didn't know my IP address but that he has the license no. of my windows. Told him to give me his number....gave me this no.  1-855-539-4928  Googled it and found this site.

Sounds like a scammer.

Just received call from person with heavy accent saying that someone was hacking my computer.  Suspecting a scam, I told him had a bad line connection and wanted a phone # to call him back.  This was the number he gave.  Will report it to our security protection service.

Yes we got a call from Mumbai Hairy this morning from this number also, 855.539.4928, ext 1006.  Calling from "microsoft" about someone has hacked into our computer.  Sketchy credentials, Scam for sure, do not give them anything!

He said they were getting warning messages from my home computer and that people in South Carolina have been using my IP address. He said that I need to get it fixed right away because they can see my banking and credit card information. Next he wanted me to go to my computer and provide him with my IP address so he could check into it further and help me with no further delays.  I said that now was not convenient and asked for his number.  He gave me 855-539-4928.  I called it back and they answered the phone saying it was Microsoft Technical Dept.  I hung up, put this number in the search engine and now see that I am not the only one with this happening to them.  Thank you to everyone who have listed the places I can report this.

Hi everybody...i got the same call from a computer support company. They provided me their toll free no as 855-539-4928 and they fixed up all my problems of computer. No doubt i paid them $299.99 for a 7 years support. I thank the technician who worked for my computer. His name is Mark. Thank you.

I received a call from unknown caller. That in itself was red flag. Then he told me the same information. My computer was being hacked.

So I asked him for the organization's name which led him to just repeat his information. He said he was certified by windows to fix my computer. But you see, I own a Mac and don't use windows at all. I asked for his company's website or location. All I got was his number. Geez..

I received a call from someone stating they were from Microsoft, their Windows Technical Department. They are still at it as of April 23, 2014.  Told me my computer was being hacked even as we spoke, and that they were detecting a high level of Microsoft errors?.Did not tell him I have a MAC?oh well?he tried...

Got call for 3rd time from number that shows up as "unknown" on cell --  tells me my computer is being hacked & that his name is Corey or something close to that  --  couldn't understand very much he said.  glad I looked up this number and discovered it was a scam -  thanks Danny ( IT guy) for posting your information.
