Def a privacy scam!!! Called at 7pm CST saying they were calling to update my contact information on my Federal Student Loans "benefit program" I really hope NO ONE GIVES THESE PPL THEIR INFO!!! While I do have federal student loans, there is no such thing as a benefit program associated with my account. SCAM!! She also used my maiden name, which my account has been updated to my married name for over 5yrs now. I told her no, that none of that was right and that it was a scam & she quickly said "you can update your info on nelnet.com" and hung up!

Yes, they are calling for repayments on your student loans.

Called my cell @ 6pm, did not leave message. I wonder if these people are somehow connected to (612) 260 8706, which is somehow student loan related and was calling me for about a month. (I HAVE NO STUDENT LOANS! Called them and asked what all of their calls were about, they read off the last 4 digits of someone else's SS#- seemed scammy to me, like they wanted me to correct them and give them my SS#. I told them that I have zero student loans and to stop calling.)

Dallas called asked for my wifes student "tag" number. She informed him she had no loans with them and requested a bill be mailed to our address. He replied they were not aurthorized to mail information to us and she informed him if he could not send or give information then he definately not getting any either. If we can not get a hard copy bill from someone they are probably not on the level. They also had no idea where she attended school, or whom the loans were originally supplied by. He also asked for her ss# and that was a red flag too. My wife is no ones fool and i am thankful. Beware all!

My phone didn't even ring but I got a voice mail stating "hello, hello". Odd.

Voicemail left said it was Danielle from Nelnet (was a real person, not a recording). I've already talked with them last month so have no more I can say. At least they are polite, unlike the awful condescending lecture I received from some rude witch at Sallie Mae when I called them seeking help with student loan payments. I'll NEVER speak to Sallie Mae again......that was downright abusive.
