Thank you God I looked this number up. I received phone call saying i didn't pay back a federal pay day loan and I was going to court and being sued and if I was fount guilty I could get probation and loose my job and some more mess. He was upset when I continued to ask questions and I was told that me and my employer would receive a letter of my charges

Good for you Sally, I am going to call him back right now...Left a message for them asking how they sleep at night knowing that they are trying to scam people out of money, they must be very proud of them selves and reminded them that in their next life, they will probably come back as a cockroach.

Got the same message today. I called back asking for the documents and the case number.  He was so rude especially when I kept asking questions. I told him, Kevin jones, that I expected the documents tomorrow and he laughed and said that the has to go to bed. When I asked where he was located he said Miami.  Not much of a time difference for central time zone.  I told him that I had saved the message and would be forwarding to the FBI.  This is such a scam that should be stopped.  The call was by threatening.

I too received a call from this number for the same reason. They are suing me for a debt. A payday loan that I know I never took. FYI; if you are being sued by a legitimate they will and must send you something in writing. NO emails, they have to serve you in person.

I would encourage you to continue calling them back and harass them. I have done it and its quit enjoyable. Yes, I have better things to do with my time, but I enjoy harassing them.

Some idiot has been calling me for months about supposedly a sensitive issue. I beat him to it and told him " I know I'm being sue ............................................ this all started last year when I tried to apply for a pay day loan. What a mistake. I've gotten calls from the same people with different area codes. I even wrote a letter to the Attorney General's Office. Don't go for this scam. When I told the guy he automatically hung up.

Mine is the same as all of the above comments.  They also called me from 724-252-3107 a few weeks ago and started calling my work and had the calls on a loop so that the phone never stopped ringing.  It was so bad that my manager and our IS support got involved to block the #.  They tried this with me last year and when I called them out on being a scam they quit.

That means that there is no law suit pending.  They have nothing but what they bought from some shyster who collects names and information and then sells it to low lifes like these.  These scammers are calling from   India and spoofing caller id to make it look like law firms.   There is no law suit,  just those thieves from the Boiler rooms of India.....Pass the word to those that you know and care about so that they won't get hijacked either.   Also,  tell your family and friends to always check here at 800Notes before even talking to any stranger who may call.    Americans can be too trusting of others and these little Basturds know it..   Heads up,  Eyes open......

I've been getting the same call saying there's a lawsuit against my social security #. The rep had a very thick accent which I could hardly understand. He was rude and thereaten me. He could not tell me what company was suing me. He said he wasn't authorize to give me that info.

This scam is designed to extort money and time from individuals who are non related to this person or his problem. Hopefully this will become a federal matter and the law enforcement agencies especially the HOME LAND SECURITY AGENCY WILL  become involved due to this persons TERRORIST activity.

I received the exact same message.  He calls at least 3 times a day.  Very frustrating.

Don't thank google Lydia.  Thank those who took the time to post on this discussion board about the scams.  There are members of this board who regularly monitor in order to alert people to known scams. This board has been a blessing to so many,  and the administrator and participants are the reason.

yesterday morning, i received a call from this indian guy who spoke decent english that said there was a lawsuit pending against me. i was furious and scared all at the sametime. once i said i had no idea of any of this and started asking questions about dates and what not. he said he was not authorized to give me that information ... then he added that i seemed genuine in my not knowing and offered me what sounded like a great deal that would save me some $$. he said he had spoken to his supervisor and i could pay an out of court settlement. after explaining that i was unable to pay or make any type of payment at the moment he got upset. i stated that i got paid today (Tuesday) and i would be more than glad to pay the amount requested. he said no problem and would call me in the morning at 8am... this morning, as promised Mr whatever his name was _ Sebastian or Cooper called . but when my phone rang.> i answered but could not hear anyone on the other side so i calle dthe number back and the rep told me i needed to go to a wagreens or walmart and purchase a prepaid type card called a paycard with the amount of $635.00 and call him with the serial numbers in order to process my payment... thankd google!! i almost did it

I started receiving these calls around September 2012! They went on for about 3 months until I filed a complaint with the BBB and the Attorney General, then they suddenly stopped! I recently went online to apply for a paydayloan, mistakenly clicked on the wrong link and started filling it out. Once I realized I had the wrong link, I backed out after clearing all of my information. I got the correct link and obtained my loan, which is a legitimate company I have worked with for a year now. Unfortunately, I believe when I input my information on the incorrect site, they were still able to obtain my information. So, now these calls have started again. I too am getting calls from Kevin Jones, who claims I have a lawsuit against my social security number. The next time I actually answer the call I will let them know the call is being recorded for my lawsuit against their company for telephone harrassment and an attempt to steal money that is not owed to them.

They called me and gave an American name and they sounded like they were from India.

Ive been receiving calls from this number for awhile now, today I finally talk to the caller "Bryan Peters" he had such a thick Indian accent I could barely understand him I got the law firm story, then I got mad and demanded an explanation and the man screamed "I want to f*** u!" At which point I just hung up.

I called Kevin Jones back and asked for the name of the law firm he was representing and he said Baker & McKenzie. I looked them up on the internet, and called their main number in Chicago. I was transferred to their fraud dept. and spoke to Tom Shott (312-861-7612.)  He told me because they are a world wide legal firm that these scammers are using their name.  He said that the phone number 855-569-5939 has been reported to the FBI and other agencies, along with the calls he has gotten from various people that the scammers have called and threatened with law suits.  He said it is virtually impossible for charges to be brought against the scammers because they are located in India and other countries around the world. He said to ignore the calls and threats.  I told him its very hard to ignore these scammers when they have my place of employment, my address, etc.  He said he does not know how they get personal information, but they have their means of doing so. He apologized that I have been going through this, but that his form Baker & McKenzie have absolutely nothing to do with these scammers.  He assured me that their law firm does not have any pending or ongoing law suits against me. Its a shame that we have to be harrassed by these LOW LIFES!!!

855-569-5939 called me out of the blue.  Said that there was a lawuit against me.  I asked who the company was with and he said that it is humanly impossible to find out.  I filed for bankruptcy 6 months ago and every debt that i had in the past 6 years was included.  Gave him my attorneys number and hopefully the b*****ds wont call back.

On 04/07/2013 I also received a message from Kevin Jones. Exact same wording as message left for Leslie on 03/26/2013. When I called back, I asked to speak to Kevin Jones. A guy named Jason Smith said he could help me.
I told him to mail me the documentation of this so called debt I owe, and he told me that Court was going to be in 4 days, and I should show up in Court instead.  I asked him the name of the legal firm he was representing and the name of the Company that I was suppose to owe money to, and he said he could not give me this information over the phone! I asked him what Court was I suppose to go to, and he said I knew!! I told him all legal attempts have to be made in writing if they are taking me to Court.I told him he was in violation of the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collections Practices Act) and that I was going to report him to the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) and the Attorney General.  I know by his thick Indian Accent he is in India. He can't even speak english that I could understand!!  Its a shame that these crooks can continue to get away with this. I feel sorry for the people who takes the threats seriously and get scammed out of their money!!

So sick of these people! Just received a call 4pm on a Saturday. What debt collector is there on Saturdays?!?

Have received these calls from people with American sounding names but they speak with a strong middle east accent and demand money for a bill I supposedly owe to a pay day loan . They are a SCAM! and I threaten them with a call to the proper authorities and the calls stop coming . They also violate the hours they are allowed to call . This most recent one came at 07:30 am from "Kevin" . they are not by law allowed to call before 08:00 am or after 09:00 pm

Sam deal, Ron was REALLY serious! LOL.  Maybe he was going to come after me with a dirk?
