That's my understanding as well.  Best to ignore & delete.

It is annoying, I would get calls almost every day.  Read the third post above and I called the number back.  It gave me the option of removing my number (they claim in 72 hours).  Whether that will happen or not, we'll see.

Called the number, recording of SME. Something in regard to a subscription to my local newspaper. Press 1 to be taken off their calling list. Then ask for the number again. I pressed 1 then hung up. They already have my number.

They told me they were from my local newspaper and they were trying to get me to add additional days to my subscription for way cheap.  So I called my newspaper to see what was going on and it obviously wasn't really from my local paper.  I believe they are trying to scam people.

Robocall regarding newspaper solitication. Calls every day at 10 am PST

They call me at least three times everyday. I've tried not answering, but they wont stop. They dont give you enough time to answer the phone before they hang up. Very irritating!

Receive the calls daily.  Have tried to opt out using the opt out option they provide.  Does not seem to be working.

HOPE.!! u can understand me. cuz englis is my second lenguage and the person who called me want me to take the offer the company have about news paper.i told her im not interesting right now thank you. and she try again and i told her call somebody else im not interesting thank you. se said in a rude way saying" ok is NOT interesting is INTERESTED." AND HANG UP.
Nice right..????? next time i need a company to get news paper i wil cal this companyl ..NOPE.I DONT THINK SO..!!

It's a robocall that keeps call my cell. I can't even answer it fast enough to hear the whole message. I can pick it up by the time it states" Press #2 to leave a message". I called back the number and got the following recording "SME  attempting to contact you about a subscription to your local newspaper".  You are given an option to remove your number. Be quick in entering your phine # because it cuts you off. If they don't stop in the next 7 days I will report to do-not-call.gov.

Called me two days in a row. I didnt pick up, and they didnt leave a voicemail.

They called me.  It is SME, and they sell newspaper subscriptions.

There's no such thing as a do not call list. Do not ever call a solicitor back it will only put on a real person real number list.

I found that you call the number back it will let you put in your number to get off there call list hope this helps all

This number has called our Landline and Cell phone over twent times in the last few days.

I just got that same call, pushed talk and then off right away so the phone would quit ringing. I looked on AREACODE.ORG and they said that the area code 855 is a future area code reserved for tollfree calls in which the calling party is not charged. INSTEAD, the telephone carrier charges the cost of the call to the called party. Sounds like the best thing to do is not answer at all. This 855 area code could be used anywhere so be careful.
