They just called our landline. The voice mail message was warning us about a scam targeting DTE customers. The scammer calls people and tells them that their account is past due and that their power will be turned off. The scammer tries to trick people into paying through some kind of debit card and then, of course, steals their money. DTE says that they don't do that, don't fall for the scam, and call and tell them if someone tries to scam you. This was (I think) an SMS or short message service, but a helpful one. Perhaps there should be a Call Type  classification for useful information calls.

This is definitely DTE Energy. They called informing me that my electrical issue should be resolved.

This is an automated message from DTE about a power outage report. Confirmed.

I just got a call on this number from DTE Energy, letting me know that my power outage should now be resolved.

Correction ... a voicemail did arrive, and it is indeed from DTE, following up on a power outage from Hurricane Sandy.

I didn't answer it, but No Name's comment about it being DTE following up on power outage makes sense.  I filed one a few days prior to receiving this call.  Didn't get a voicemail.
