The call came on my caller ID was the county court house.  I called the court house and they informed me that they would love to speak with this person.  Next time, the police will be called.

As of today it has been a week since I last spoke to these people and i have yet to be served. For that matter the last time i called to try to pin them down on when I would be served and other than pressuring me to give them money once again, I could get no info out of them.

I just got off the phone with "Mary" the process server for the second time today. I was rocking my baby and didn't beat the answering machine to her call the first time and the message she was in the process of leaving was to the effect that I had been "expedited" for service at my home. I picked up before she hung up and asked her for the docket number again and she said that the papers were sealed. i told her there should be a number on the front and the name of the court with which the papers were filed and she replied that the papers had not been filed with any court as of yet but that i would be served today so that I could go to court Monday.

This didn't sound quite right to me so I thanked her and called the number she gave me to "avoid service." The woman that answered the phone said "hello." She didn't answer with her name and the name of her business or just the name of her business, she said "hello." She got sharp when i refused to give her any information to verify who i was other than the phone number they had used to contact me, but I stuck to my guns and she put me on hold and then told me that she was part of a "file holding" company and that she was simply an intermediary for the company (lending institution) that was claiming i had defrauded them.

I never got a loan from the company she named (sounded like a check cashing place) and I told her this at which point she began talking about how I had waived my rights and agreed to service by saying this debt was not mine. I told her I was not waiving any rights and that if she was just a file holding company and not a law enforcement agency she couldn't accept a waiver of rights even if i had. She then said again that i had waived my rights and I would be served.

About 3 minutes later "Mary" called me back and said she was in-route to my house to serve me because I had waived my rights. I asked her which court she was bonded with and she replied that it was one in a state I used to live in but she refused to give me a county. She then said that if i disagreed with the debt and maybe believed that it was my ex-husband's debt that i should pay it and then I could sue him for the money. I told her that he was in prison already and that if he had taken out a loan I would have to urn the information over to the police and the States Attorney to add charges to him so I would be waiting for her at my home for service. I asked if she wanted directions to my home and before I could get out my whole question the call was "dropped" on her end and she has neither called back nor arrived at my home.

If anyone does show up I will post again.

In my opinion this is a debt collection agency trying to use fear of jail and/or embarrassment to get people to pay up. They won't answer any of the questions a real process server or other agent of the court would and as soon as I mentioned needing to get the police involved to view the papers she said she had she became very disinterested in serving me. For that matter, She seemed eager to find any way to avoid serving me she could and even though she claimed to be on the way to my house as we spoke, she continued to encourage me to offer a payment plan for "restitution" to this "file holding " company.

Stand your ground if they contact you.

"Matthew Hill" left a voice mail message stating he would serve me in 24 hours at my home or place of employment and advised I call 855-622-6088 and reference a claim number. Incidentally, a "Matthew Noll" left a voice mail message at a family member's home.Do those idiots not know it is unlawful to leave confidential info with a third party? I called the above number and was told they were collecting for myloansusa.com and Matthew was hired my myloansusa and does work for them. First, when a creditor hires a third party to act in their behalf, they leave all matters up that third party.  They would not have a fourth party serving customers. Duh. It's amazing how the number, email, and website for myloansua are no longer operable.  When I called the above number back and spoke with a
supervisor" he once again told me to go to myloansusa.com.  When I informed him all of the contact info was invalid, he said "the client obviously changed their info and that he didn't have it."  bull____! He started to get loud, I cussed him out and hung up.

If they want to go to the home address and place of employment, GO AHEAD. I'm no longer at either of them. HAHAHAHAHA!

I just got a call from some woman who claimed to be a process server who had been hired to serve me this coming Friday. She claimed that it was illegal for her to tell me anything about the matter other than it would require a court appearance. She then gave me a number and account number I could use to "clear up" the matter so they would let her know I didn't need to be served. She couldn't give me a docket number or tell me the court where i would need to appear because she said it was illegal to do so. I went through a divorce and was served by my ex-husband and when that happened I missed the process server and called them to be served. They were happy to cooperate so I could meet them half way at the time we agreed upon. They gave me the docket number at the top of the document so i could verify that it was legit, too. I think this is a scam.

I love this response, I am going to use it.  I revived a voice mail, stating she would server me, at work and home, and my two siblings (keeping that voice mail for evidence), I have not worked in 5 years cuz a stroke that paralyzed my legs, so I find it hard that she is visiting me at work and serving me.   And since my brother works in the state's largest law firm, he tells me it is inconceivably they are serving any sibling for debt by me.  My ID was stolen last year, it is possible this information was sold to them and they are a scam and nothing more.   Anyhow, most state, you are allowed to record their calls without telling them, look it up on Wiki. and file a complaint with your Stat's attorney.

Consumers across the country report that they're getting telephone calls from people trying to collect on loans the consumers never received or on loans they did receive but for amounts they do not owe. Others are receiving calls from people seeking to recover on loans consumers received but where the creditors never authorized the callers to collect for them. So what's the story?

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:
Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.

Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.

Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.

Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.

Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.>

I just received a phone call at my job at 6:44am.  The person's name is Abigail, left a message saying she is coming out to serve me this morning and to be ready with a valid state ID for service purposes.  She also mentioned if I had any questions to call this phone number and give my claim #.  I dare them to come serve me.  I will also have authorities come out.  The part I don't understand is when you are getting served you are never notified ahead of time.  How stupid can these people be and why would they work for a company like this.

Got a phone call yesterday on my voice mail.  It came up as Winnebago County and the number was the court house.  The message was from a Tony Jones and he was giving me a courtesy call saying that he has my husbands name and ss#.  He had legal papers that he was going to serve on 3/5 at his last known address or business address.  I called the Court House number and they had no one by that name, there was no court case, and no one had called us at the time I got the phone call.  I then called the police department and was told it is a scam and that they have had numerous phone calls from others regarding this scam.  I then called the Sheriff's department to see if there were any papers that were to be served.  There are none.  What can be done with this repeated scam?

I so hope no one falls for this.  They make you think you owe something and try to bully $$ out of you.  I had been contacted by a whole diff company & phone number a while back.  I guess when that didn't work they start to switch it up.

I feel bad for senior citizens or vulnerable adults who might get these calls.

These people call everyday for my ex and stating that he needs to call within 2 days.  The man stated that if he didnt call back, this guy would come "make a visit" to his house.  How scary is that, that someone is telling you they will "make a visit" to your home.  What will they do??? They are acting "loan sharks"!!!  They should be in trouble for saying stuff like that. It makes you wonder, do they really have your address??

I want to thank all the people who have responded here to help others like me. I got a call today, went to voice mail, from Abigail Green and she said same thing about "courtesy call before we serve you in 2 days at your place of employment...."HAHA good luck cuz I'm not working!!!!  When you call 855-622-6088 after hours its a recording that says leave you name and number but doesn't give a company name for them. Don't fall into the scam. My lawyer friend says this is this day and ages new way to scam. He says to always ask debt collections to send you proof in writing that they have to right to collect.

Got a call from a lady name Kim today saying that I had a pending civil suit and I would be served papers on Wednesday 2.15.12. When I started asking questions as to why she is calling and not the company she became very rude and said she is giving me a heads ups so that I can take care of it before I get served. I believe its a scam and will not be calling anyone.

I know that must have been so sickening to you. I just received my fifth call from these jack-___, and the first three were to my brother's home, of which I never lived. They claimed that I would be served a summons and will be picked by our local sheriff if I didn't return their call in 2 days from when they called which was on a Saturday afternoon. I got the number and called back using his phone and left a message for the person who called (Vicki) and told them to go ahead and send a sheriff and I'll have some coffee and a side dish of authorities waiting on them. Needless to say, my brother never got a call from them at his home again for me. But the rest of the calls came to my own home number. I have yet to find out what I was being served a summons for. They never told me. I know that these are scare tactics  these low-count trifling fools are using to try and get unsuspecting  and inexperienced people to send them money for some bill that has been charged off years ago and they're trying to make a buck. That's what some other people told me when they got calls like these. It's really a shame that we have scumbags and scuzz-buckets like these who will resort to stupid and degenerate tactics like this to mess with people. Thank for sharing you experience. I hope they get caught and thrown under the train for this mess or publicly hung and beaten, like the old days of punishment. Have a great day and God bless you.

Yes, I received this call from 855-622-6088 on February 10th and 11th of 2012 from a phone showing up on my caller ID as 404-734-8451, claiming I've been served a summons for a "pending claiming" against me. Her gave her name as "Kim". She even gave me a Claim #: 130535 and to call them back at the 855 number and if I don't call them back by Monday, she will see me between 2 to 5pm that day. Can you believe that tactics these scumbags are using today? I will call them back on Monday and see what I can gather any useful information on them and what they're after.

I got a call today from a Courtney Spiegel stating I needed to contact their office at 855-622-6088 concerning a legal matter of a civil lawsuit against me.  I called back the number that said "thank you for calling mailbox 2002 please leave your name and message at the tone".  If this was a legal office the attorneys name would be stated first.  I am weary over this being a valid company.  I guess I'll wait to see if I'm served papers on the 14th as Ms. Spiegel stated she would serve me at my home or office.  I'm contacting my attorney general regardless.  If this was legit, the server would be at my home without notifying me in advance.

I have received 3 calls from this number this week. 2 from a gentleman named Rodney ??? and a lady Courtney Wilson. They provided a case # and told me to call the 855 # or they will be serving me with legal papers or pick me up from my job on Monday the 13th. First I asked for the nature of the call...they only kept talking about serving papers and me going to jail. I told them 1) you have no right to call my work place 2) you don't go to jail for bad debt 3) I am calling the Attorney General's office to file a complaint. The company name (they say) is Legal 1.

These so called legal locators called me today in regards to my deceased brother claiming he has a lawsuit pending under his ssn. I took the information they gave me ie case number etc called the liars that hired them. They proceed to tell me that he gave my phone number as a reference number on a payday loan. Liar liar pants on fire!! First of all my brother fought cancer for 7 yrs and was in and out hospital and nursing homes and would not need a payday loan and secondly I just got the phone number they call 2 months afo and he had already passed away so there's no way they got it from him. These people are jacked off spammers. Give them no information. I just called our State Attorney General's Office and reported them. I recommend everyone does the same.

My ex husbands grandmother received a call from this number saying it was about a civil suit and so she called me and I spoke with a dominic and they were saying that when i lived in ky in 2007 I did a payday loan and then after receiving the money, closed the bank acount, but funny thing is I didnt move to kentucky till 2008 and I was divorced then so bosenbark wasnt even my last name then. I called the bank they say the money was deposited into because I knew I never had a account with them at that bank and bank doesnt show an account under my SS or account number the fraudulent callers gave me. I think this is a scam but I am worried that someone has my information out there and is using it or something
