What is wrong with you people.  There is NO LAW which says you MUST answer the phone.  It stands to reason that if you do not recognize the phone number and if the name of the caller is not identified, there is no reason to answer the phone. It doesn't make sense to answer a random call from those who do not identify themselves.  Just because your phone rings, doesn't mean you are required to answer it.  Good Grief...................

I called it back and identified myself and let them know they had called a Sheriff's Department.

Got a call from 855 630 9710, let it go to VM as was unknown. Called back, heard recording for alarm systems hit '1' to 'schedule an appointment', got a human being and requested to be removed from list. She was quite pleasant about it.

Scam. I redialed the numbers several times and can't get through the pre-recorded message.

They like to call my cell phone, offering free alarm systems. Can't figure out how to get in touch with a human to tell them to stop calling.

Called today... 12:47p. I did not answer.  They did not leave voice mail. Hmph.

Got a call for a security alarm system "in my area" being installed for "free". Asked to press "1", I hung up.

Scam. Pressed 1 and got a real person. Told him I was on the do-not call registry, and he claimed to have checked and that I was not. He then hung up on me.

Someone please find out who this person is/where he is located so that we can all drive over to his house punch him in the teeth.

The best thing to do is to give them an appointment, the moment they get to your business give them a note that you are not interested in doing business with them. That is what I do with merchant services.

Missed call from this number, and then found it does not resolve to any valid US number or even exchange.  (It's illegal to fake or not deliver CID info for most businesses.)  

Call was to my cel, which is inherently illegal with FCC link previously posted in this thread the primary regulatory agency (versus FTC for DNC list issues).

Obviously it's not worth asking criminals intentionally calling cel or DNC listed lines to obey law they intentionally violate.  It may be worth consuming their time pretensing an interested customer for those able to do so when called, and using that info to augment an FCC (cel) or FTC (DNC) or IC3.gov (interagency electronic crime task force) complaint.  It may be worth reminding individual phone operators that they're being used in that kind of criminal ploy, in case some don't know.  Beyond that, treat them as criminal frauds and give no serious personal details.

I have a feeling these calls are phishing.  They clearly aren't serious about selling anything so I think they are just trying to collect valid phone numbers for a list to sell to other companies.  If they get you or a voice mail, then mission accomplished for them.  Effin butmunches!

Has anyone tried giving their neighbors name and address to see if they are phishing for a credit card number or if they might show up at your neighbor's hours?

72 hours to be removed from THEIR call list.  You need to re-register your number on the the national DNC list to avoid unwanted calls.

Telemarketer selling home security systems.  Not sure why I received this call because my number is on the nation DNC list.  I called them back and told them this and to remove my number.  They said to allow 72 hours for my number to be removed, which makes no sense since my number is already on DNC.  :-/

I have had multiple unsolicited calls from this number

Got a call from them on my cell phone.  Asked to speak to a supervisor.  A woman got on the phone and I told her that I wanted their address.  She said they were based in Mesa AZ, refused to give more than that.  I asked how she got my number, and she said it was a "referral".  Demanded to know who it was, and she said they didn't have that information.  Told her that they just picked numbers at random and that they were violating Federal regulations by doing that, and that I was going to report them to the FCC.

Go to http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm and fill out the form, and nuke these dirtbags with complaints.

They have been calling my company cell for at least a couple years despite me telling them to delete my number.  i used profanity when they called today.  the automated message claims to be in my area installing alarm systems it's funny they don't know where I live when I ask them.  I also asked him to delete my number and then asked them to repeat it and they said they could not....they already deleted it.  bs!
