Getting call from this number every day.  When I do answer it, there is no one there.

My wife also got this call yesterday - with the EXACT same offer. They tricked her into giving them the last 4 digits of my SS#. I'm sure they are trying to steal identities or get into your bank account somehow. Many places use the last 4 digits of your social to prove that its you.

At this point I am contacting the authorities, but I thought I'd give you all a heads up.

I just got a call from this number called it back and it was comcast offering 24 months of free Cinamax, sure hope this is not a scam, they answered the phone as Comcast so I think it is on the up and up

This number keeps calling our Magic Jack number, but there is never anyone on the other end or any messages left.  It has happened three times so far.

Possible Prank:
- On Sept. 1, 2011 at 12:25PM we got a call from 855-639-3757. A woman identified herself as Denika Spencer and said she was calling from Comcast with an offer of 24 months free Cinemax as long as we kept our HBO subscription during that time.  And that on the 25th month we would begin paying $14.99 per month for Cinemax. We agreed and asked for a confirmation number.  She said there was none, but that we would begin to get Cinemax.  She did not ask for money or credit card info.
- On Sept. 3, 2011 I called back that number because Cinemax service had not started.  We got a recording that did NOT identify itself as Comcast, but as a "general mail box".
- On Sept 3, 2011 at 1:325PM I called Comcast Customer Service at 800-266-2278 and spoke to a man who identified himself as Sergio.  He said there was no such offer at this time and no record of anyone calling us with such an offer.

I answered, they hung up. I am on the Do Not Call list.
