I received a call on my cell phone from this number but since I didn't recognize it and it was long distance, I refused to answer figuring it was a telemarketer. I did listen to the message but it was somebody on for a few seconds then a hang up, nothing said. The very next day I received a call from this same damn number, this time the message was some crappy music that lasted 2 minutes, again nothing spoken. I found this website with replies saying it's Red Beacon so I called this number and sure enough it was. The man was nice and asked if I was at Home Depot looking for contract work. I said no and to please have my number taken off the call list. He then asked for my name and phone number. I told him my first name and number. He told me two other men had my number. I can't believe two other people have my exact same prefix and number or I'd get calls for them. I again asked him to take my number off the call list, said thanks and hung up. We'll see if that works.

This is a number for Red Beacon a small subdivision of Home Depot. Home Deport told me about Red beacon when i asked if they could recommend any electrical contractors they could recommend. The said that I could go to red beacons website and register and explain the work I wanted done and qualified contractors would submit their online bids to me. It's sort of like an Angie;s List but exclusively for contractors. I tried it, got a great quote and the contractor came over completed the work and I paid him exactly what he quoted me on the phone. Very positive experience and I will use them again.

It's Red Beacon. I put in a request months ago but never selected a provider. They called to see if I had chosen someone (presumably to see if someone did the work but didn't report it / pay them).

Called me too. No message.
I doubt this has any connection to Home Depot at all, HD is very careful about who they refer or partner with. They would never just pass out a referral without a complete background check and license check.
This has to be just another RIPOFF.

This is the Home Depot. It is a new program you had to sign up to get a call. Its legit. I'm a handyman too. This program is for contractors, the HD puts you into the system and refers work to you...

Same thing, Red Beacon said my application was received by them, and they are a part of Home Depot. I said you have a filled out application from me? He said it was not yet filled out. Idiot script monkey. I told him to put me on do not call list and hung up.

Red Beacon called, in response to a customer survey complaint.
Nice and helpful.
Sounds like number is used for multiple reasons.

Red Beacon keeps calling. They don't get "please don't call again". It's a division of Home Depot looking for subcontactors. This time it was a woman calling.

This is Red Beacon/Home Depot. I guess if you make enough purchases there, they assume you are some kind of handy man and want to recruit you as a subcontractor. Well, you know what people say about assume...it makes an a** of you (u) and me. The caller's name was Eric. The first time it was some girl. My advice? Spread out your hardware purchases among several different stores. His comment when I said my husband had a job? "I'm sorry to hear that." Needs to tweek his script a little.

Some guy named Eric called. I'm going to go out on a limb and say this call did not originate in the US. This is the second time someone has called for my husband. When I said he was at work and actually had a job, Eric replied, "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that." I told him that was a strange and inappropriate comment to make. Yes, they are trying to recruit subcontractors. Boy, did they call the wrong house!!! If it wasn't so stupid, I'd laugh hysterically.

I got a similar call. Home depot took my number and these guys tried to get a credit card number to subscriber to their lead system. They also asked for my SS# which I did not give them. Bet if home depot knew this they would stop it.
