I have been getting calls like this for a few months.  I have had the same issue where I call them back and it goes to a voice mail.  Thanks for the info. so I'll just block them from my cell phone.

I keep getting calls from this company also.  Fortunately I have learned 2 tricks.  They call on my cell phone which is an android phone.  I do 2 things.  First I programmed them into my phone book as "Scam".  Second, most android phones allow you to set up certain phone book numbers to go straight to voice mail.  I did that on mine.  SO, they call all the time but it never rings.  It will appear as a missed call but it also shows the number so I know not to worry about it.  I haven't answered it in months and i don't care how long they continue because it no longer bothers me.  Hope that info helps others.

VERY RUDE people! Called me at my place of work, after I asked them a year ago not to call. and I call the number back today after they called me today at my office and they got nasty with me. Of course I got nasty back and hung up on them. Then they had the NERVE to call me back. I didn't answer. They need to be reported.

Received a written demand for payment from these people under the name of Law Office of Rosemary Berquist, P.O. Box 5528, Bloomington, IL 61702.  TEL: 855-663-6180

The letter stated I owed $125 to Meyer Photo.   I have not authorized any photo's or received any photo's from this person.  I will be sending a certified letter to them requesting proof of the debt and would like to have further information from their client regarding the photo's as I would like to see them.

I've just got another call just like yours from  this number saying it was from the same law office. I've gotten about 4 of these calls now on my cell phone. Sounded fishy to me as well and I will not call the number back as requested.

They say it is an attempt to collect a debt and tell me to call the law offices of rosemary berkowitz.
I have no debt that I am behind on. So I know this is a scam. Its very aggravating because they call at odd hours.

My husband received a call from this company on his cell phone saying they were collecting a debt.  Recorded message said to stay on the line, which my husband did, transferred to another department, then disconnected.  We don't owe any collection agencies anything and have outstanding credit.  Called the number back, says it's the law office posted above and then transfers to a voicemail box.

They called my dad today. Said the same thing as everyone else. Trying to collect a debt. My dad has a superb credit score and pays all his bills ON TIME. When we called back and I checked the number I saw this posting, the BBB posting (they're not even acredited) and what looks like a phony website. http://berquistlaw.com/  I think there is something not legit here with this.

I just got a call from these guys asking about some business, and told me that i better give them all the details of the owner, this time they told me he was and police officer.. and that i better co-operate with them. so i asked for his badge number.. so after he gave me some stupid number. i asked what police agency he is with.. he asked why , i said i have another phone i am will look them up on the internet and once i have their number I call them for confirmation of who you are.. guess they didn't like that. as he got very upset with me.. and a few threats there after. i told them i can't wait till he calls again :) . and hung up.

so when you get these types of calls have fun with them turn the side .. tell them you know the IP address where they are calling from .. since the number doesn't exist .. it is IP based.. mostly likely from google. or some other company that can issue numbers ..

I got called from this people and advised I owed some Dr boogs, about some realstate money owe to me and he provided the documents for me to request this money. I never use this service and now they call me and do not want to provide anything on writing. Will not pay anything since I never got such service. This people are rude and unproffesional.

I received a letter in the mail from them saying I owed a doctor bill, I called them to see when from as I do not go to this type of specialist. Its from over 8 years ago and I never ever went to that type of doctor. I told them I wanted proof I went there, there sent me a bill/paper form with someone body else's info, same city but different age, gender, marriage status, etc... I decided to goggle them because it seems like a scam. I called them and told them on an answering machine recording I was going to report them to the Attorney General, this was on a Saturday evening someone actually hung up on the answering machine. I called the doctor Monday, the doctor doesn't use them as a debt collector & guess what I have never been there before. The doctor asked me to foward all info to them, I am today. I called the "law office" back as they never returned my call, the guy was rude right off the bat. I told him I talked to the doctors office, he doesnt use them as a debit collector, he says they are used by doctor debit collector agency (not sense huh, why would a debit collector agency use another?) I said the doctor said I have never been there, I am going to report you guy to the Attorney General for a scam. He starts yelling this is not a scam, I am a lawyer... blah blah... I said I have never been to the doctor & the doctor conformited it and he goes your lying! WTF so me & the doctor (whose supposely is collecting the money is lying) wow. He tells me I got an attitude issue and hangs up on me. I called right back. I told the other guy right off the bat I'm recording him, very nice attitude then. He says he doesnt understand why my name is connected with this other person, he will have to get it "investigated" BEWARE of this company....

I have received these phone calls since january 5th on my cell.  It is a recording.  Once I have called back and a person ansered saying that she could only take the message.  It was in Florida.  Now this number is not available but the calls are every day.  Very disturbing. Where can I make a complaint? My phone company cannot.

I have a family member who has received a threatening phone call from this "law firm". When you call the number, you do not speak a lawyer. You get a recording that it is a debt collection agency. I think everyone that has been contacted by this company should file a complaint with the IL State Attorney so they can be investigated.

My 85 year old mother received a call from this number, The young man asked for the routing number on her checks. She almost gave it to him, but we walked in and she told us what they wanted. This should be illegal.

This place is a piece of work!  They are calling people all over the northern Americas from Canada to the States.  Unfortunately, their number is disconnected half the time and MY COMPANY'S 800 number is showing up on caller ID at people's homes that they call!  The fool that works there won't help or even listen to the problem to fix it.  Block this number if you can!  They are a scam and the guy is an idiot!

I've been getting repeated calls from this number stating it's an attempt to collect a debt.  Why haven't I received any written notice on an owed debt if this is legitimate?  I looked up this office and they aren't affiliated with the BBB or anything else, says they are located in Bloomington, IL.  This is causing me a great deal of stress, I'm a senior citizen and in poor health..why aren't there laws about people who prey on others in such a thoughtless way?

Like everyone else I get these calls at very odd hours, like 11:30 pm or 4:30 am , never anyone on the line and it appears they are not a legitimate debt collector, but a company that claims to be able to get credit card companies to reduce balances, and they also want folks to pay their bills through them, but never forward any payments causing their credit to be put in arrears, then they advise you to go bankrupt all the time running up fees for themselves.

. In days past these kinds of companies would have been investigated, stopped and even charged with fraud, but under the present mindset that businesses have no  limits as to what they can say of do, nothing will be done to stop the calls.

Sadly it must work them or they would not be doing it, and I only wonder how many lives they have destroyed with their lies.

I've been getting these calls for about six months now. I'm a student, I don't have any debts. I don't even have a credit card! I've never actually heard or spoken to a live person. It's always a recording that ends with "this message is from a debt collector", which sounds pretty fishy to me anyway.

got a message from this # and don't usually return calls but they said it was from a "law office and it was an attempt to collect a debt".  Since I know I don't know anybody anything I called it back.  Was asked what # I was called at & then they said they were looking for "Xxxx Bxxxxx". The address for the person they were looking for way about 75 miles away.  Well, I used to be married to someone by this name --- 25 years ago!!--- they wanted to know my last name to update the records.   Told them it was none of their business.  They said "it didn't work that way"  I told them it didn't work that way on my end either!  Google my number and see what info comes up - but delete my info!!  Besides......if I DID owe someone $'s, why would I call them back if I didn't pay them to begin with?????   Idiots!

Received repeated calls/messages/voicemails.  New number (6 months old) for us, so sure this was fraudulent, since message states it's a debt collector.  Called today and informed man answering (at "Berquist Law Office") no one of the name he mentioned to me lives here.  He said our number will be taken off list.  We'll see what happens.

I received a telephone call stating for me to hold on the line for a represetative, but the phone call was dropped by the calling party before the automated instructions were completed to state what type of business the service was regarding. I am a new resident in a new city and keep getting fund raiser calls such as police officers that have died in the line of duty etc., service recruitement calls such as home security alarm systems etc., calls from different states with newspaper offers for my local newspaper, plus other types of unsolicited calls. When I politely asked how these people got my home telephone number I have found out that my new telephone number has been released for business solicitation purposes. What is also disturbing to me is that the male caller that called me about the home security system knew whether my home had an existing security system that needed to be reactivated with their service or that I needed to have one installed? WTF?! I am not happy that this is allowed, but found out that it is legal for service providers to release your name, address, and new home telephone number to third party solicitor listings. I guess that is why people avoid home telephone service and go to cellular phone service? Some of the incoming telephone numbers I have been able to google while other numbers I cannot. I don't think this is right. If these callers know all my information I should be able to at least google their number and see who is calling me!! The answer is not to answer any incoming calls when you do not know who is calling you. The incoming calls I did answer already knew my full name, full address, and obviously my telephone number! There's no PRIVACY IN THE US? The GVT can monitor your telephone calls, but you have no idea who is calling you & solicitors know all of your information before you even answer their incoming telephone calls !? Are you serious?! Give me a break!!

After numerous garbled voicemails, I finally received one that was clear enough for me to call back.  They had the wrong number.  After I informed them of that fact, and told them not to call again, A man called back and began to lecture me about my manners/attitude.

I believe this is a fraudulant number used to extort money from the elderly, it is currently under investigation in several western states and if you receive a call from this number, please contact your local police and inform them of this call number and the identity if given.

I received a call from this number asking for a relative, I said there is no on here by that name and they asked if I knew this person and I said Yes but I haven't spoken them in years so please take my number of your list.  They said this isn't  list ma'am, I said I don't fuc**n care take it off.  Well the gentleman "Keith" that was calling told me to suck his c**k!  I was livid and started screaming, he eventually hung up on me I called the number back.  I was placed on hold when I spoke to "Adam" the supposed VP of the company and I told him and he said yes I can see your number was removed, I asked did "Keith" also indicate that he told me to suck his "c**k?" he said No I'll need to pull the recording, I asked they he do so and call me back.  He got loud with me and said I was Rude and told me to "F**K Off!" he the disconnected the call.  I don't know who these people are but if someone ones of anything I can do to get this elevated to the correct person, please let me know.  I can't find anything on this number 855-663-6180.  I called back and asked fof the company name and I was told "The Law Offices of Rosemary Berquist"
