I'm getting the same message but the phone number is 1-917-460-0023.  They come by email in blocks of between 10 and 25 at once, some with time stamps within the last hour and most with time stamps over 8 hours ago.

If your in Canada,  Call Anti-Fraud Centre to report,  (This is a division of the RCMP)

you can reach them either at the anti-fraud centre website  ( you can look it up)
or call: 1-888-495-8501

They suggested I check my Tran Union (1-800-663-9980) and Equifax (1-800-465-7166) rating, call HBC mastercard to make sure you don't have a HBC mastercard fraudulently in your name (1-866-640-7858).

The more people that report this, the more likely it is to be investigated in a serious manner.

Is there anyone in our government that think about protecting our rights, I should be able to stop these calls if i choose, where is our government? and what are they doing? nothing obviously.

If you are a person who knows how to stop these people from doing this, please do it, start spamming them, See how they like a taste of there own medicine.

I called and it's a ""Online Mortgage Group"" but if you press any numbers , you get transferred and hung up on. If you dial #2 , someone actually picks up the phone and says they've been hacked and they're working on it .... we'll see.

Getting these as well starting Feb 27 - same message. I'm with Telus. Aside from nuisance factor for postpaid, for some pre-pay customers these messages would deplete the balance very quickly at e.g.15 cents each, forcing the user to consider paying extra for a text messaging package.

I do not own a MasterCard so I knew this was a scam/bot right away.

Tried replying with standard msgs: "stop" "unsubscribe" "end" to no avail, SMS messages kept arriving.

Telus says number can't be blocked, considering reporting to local police service.

I keep getting texts to my cell phone to call this number - doubt if it is a genuine caller, and if I do call will probably be charged $$ for doing so.  So, who is it??

I received a message stating that the subject was NHSD and that Hudson's Bay Company was alerting me to my Mastercard being locked.  I don't even have a mastercard. It says to call but I haven't.  My second thought though is can this also be a case of identity theft.  Checking with the credit bureau now.
