I filed a complaint against FRS with the State Department of Financial Institutions. I spoke with FRS on the 15th. I did tell them to stop calling my family members and stop with their threats. I have not seen any documentation from these folks. The claimed I took out a payday loan in 2007 a few months ago. Then then in the conversation I had with them 2 days ago the payday loan was taken out in 2009. They also claim this money was deposited in a Navy federal credit Union, which I have never had an account with. If I continue receiving these types of communications I will file a complaint with the FTC. By the way when I confronted the Rep. with FRS about the calls made to my family they denies ever making such calls!!! I said then obviously my ex in-laws were lying, my mother and my father were lying and so was my sister! Funny this courier traveled within a few hours from Washington State, to Virginia and to California and back in 4 hours!! Pretty amazing don't you think? lol

Honestly, I do not know what to do! These people have called my family saying a courier is attempting to deliver documents. I spoke with FRS on the phone they claim I owe a ton of money (Web pay Day). I spoke to a Randy who said that he can stop the processor if I secure an arrangement with a card. Why won't they allow me to just send them money in the form of a money order, if I in fact owe them money? Can someone give me some sound advice? They did send me an email that included their address 5757 Main St Williamsville, NY 14221 PHONE 855-602-1155 FAX 716-568-8813. The letter included an arrangement that they are willing to accept. I have not accepted anything at this point.

I'll bet they are.  Folks,  any and all who may have gotten phone calls from these people,  Don't give them any information and for Gosh sakes,  don't give them any money.  If you feel you must investigate,  check with your local judicial authorities.  The people working in the court houses across america has probably gotten a lot of calls from people, like you, about this.   These scammers are getting bolder in calling people and threatening,  and then they put what they think are convincing posts here on the 1-800 board to make you think it is a legitimate threat.....It's aint gonna happen.  This board is very effective in passing along information,  exposing  scams and hopefully saving some of the people money that would be taken in by them.
Read all posts carefully.  Dont trust anyone.  (We are all strangers on this board)  Check out all available resources for information and be especially wary  of any stranger offering any type of encouragement to just hand over money because someone demands it. Expecially with nothing to validate the claim.

I got a call yesterday from frs and associates. They said theyre going to serve me withcourt papers for a payday loan with sonar holdings. I told them I didnt have the $856 theyre looking for and I told him to just serve the papers. He then told me I could get payment areangements. I couldnt at first because it needed to be all of it. The phone number was 8556021155. Is this a scam?

Contact 512-854-9244. That's Court administration for Travis County. If you ate able to give them info they should be able to pull something. Every case in Texas has to have a Cause number. If they've filed anything, it would be there.

Did they serve you? I'm in Austin, Texas and work for the court house in Travis County, there is nothing in me.

He called from a private number and funny thing is, I actually own a legitimate process servicing company not far from these folks.. Stupid folks because the "so-called" carrier couldn't answer any questions regarding the "so-called" complaint, claiming it was a sealed document and had no clue the steps to file the complaint . A process server will have all the information regarding the civil complaint, would never call before he shows up, Why?? Because that's how he/she gets paid.. If he/she doesn't serve he/she doesn't get paid simple as that.. I did some research on these folks and found there office is located @ 5757 Main St, Williamsville, NY, which as I said is right down the street from my office @ 5140 Main St, Williamsville, NY.. There office is located above the architecture firm named Gordon W. Jones Associates,  owner Scott W. Jones #716) 633-9000.. Further investigation, I found the owner of FRS & Associates listed as Anthony Gerace   who lives at 2130 Kensington Ave, Amherst, NY 14226 #716-799-7724. Paid him a call but each time went to voicemail.. After leaving 3 messages for Mr. Gerace at his number, I realized he would never call back. I called there office and pretended like I was looking for a job and had collections experience and was hungry to work. These folks set-up an interview and I finally got to meet this Mr. Gerace who appeared to be no more than 25yrs old and see the office that they operate out of and found it to be like a "sweat shop". They have cameras everywhere, it's an open floor with just a few collectors and from what I could hear from his office they read scripts as outbound private carriers and people actually called back and these folks changed there voices and convinced people while reading a script to pay. They called me about 2 days after interview but I never responded. Of course it's a scam!, folks.  DO NOT EVER GIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ANYONE OVER THE PHONE.  Yes, the people on here saying they were served is the FRS company workers.  Don't fall for it folks.
AND BY THE WAY - It's ILLEGAL for debt collectors to BLOCK their phone number.  Just another PROOF it's a scam.  I bet none of you have received anything in the mail from FRS either.  That's what I thought!  SCAM folks.

getting same calls for my sister so we have been letting them go to voicemail and been going on for weeks and no one has yet to show up with papers.  Told my sister not to call and give personally information.

Called me yesterday. Same story as many of you. Called the company the whole thing was about. They never rward of frs. Called court where I am suspose to appear. No record of me needed for anything.
I hope someone shows up with papers cause I am going to get id off them and get the police involved on the spot.  
I think the people on here saying they got served are them. I think someone sold a bunch of personal info on some old loans, to pull this scam.

I receive several calls from this number and they state they will serve me papers.  I called and they wouldnt give me anything paper work or proof of so call documents.   be careful.  I have my cousin who is a Fed looking into this.

Many calls and threats. serve and sue. I asked for proof. sent email with their address when did a lookup of address. 5757 main street  Williamsville, NY 14221  it belongs to a company of architects. they have not heard of FRS and associates llc.

Wait I' m in Austin.  Their not bonded in TX ? I thought this was a scam at first and then they put a lien on my on my personal bank account and I had just got my payroll check, now the bank will only let me take out $235.67 and all the rest their holding until I get it resolved.  I gotta talk to an attorney I guess.

I got a call from this number last week stating they had to serve me legal documents.  Then all the sudden today I get served with papers.  This is BS !!  I'm calling them now !

i had the same thing happen to me from money and more which is out of business..in 08 i took out a loan repayed it back now i had  2 fax over bank statements to frs..everything is settled but i had already made monthly payments to FRS....THEY  ARE ENDING UP OWING ME MONEY BACK SINCE I PAYED MY DEBT....

My experience with these folks is that I am not the one they want to talk to, and yet, they are calling here.  They want to talk to my friend. They left a message on my answering machine, a physical answering machine where everybody and their horse, sheep, goats and donkeys can hear the message, and that is illegal to do--I know because I have talked to my  Left a case number, a phone number for contacting the company and when I called that phone number, the company's answering service answered FRS and Associates.  Told my friend about this strange phone call.  She said that she got the same phone call as well as her sister.  Said its bogus because she doesn't owe anyone anything, and to ignore it.  If they call here again, though, I am not going to ignore it because it is disrupting my personal life and since I believe it is a scam, I will talk to my attorney first about it and see if he can talk FRS and if not then we will report them to the police.

I just got this phone call on my answering machine.  I called back to see who it was.  They answered FRS Associates.  The message on my answering machine said that it was actually for a friend of mine and that they were trying to serve her papers to force her into court.  It implied that it was a lawsuit.  We have a public answering machine and I know the law well enough to know that it is illegal to leave a mesage on a public answering machine.  Public meaning that when a message is left here everyone and their pet sheep, goats, horses and donkeys in the house can hear the message and there is no getting away from the message.  So it is illegal to leave a message here with all the information that was in this message.  The person I spoke to at FRS Associates refused to talk to me unless I gave them a contact number for my friend, and even claimed that they don't make phone calls and further said that I was listed as an emergency contact for my friend.  Hello, this is not an emergency!  I think she means life and death emergency, not to try to get her to come into court.  The message claimed that since they left the message she was considered as being served.  Anyway, I wonder if this is a scam and after reading all the experiences here, it makes me even more suspicious.  If they try to call here again, I will contact my own attorney and play the message for him so he can call them deal with them--and then if that does not work, we will get the police on them.

hi i got a call from frs & associates also. they called my family too saying i was going to be served with papers. i called them back and  they asked what a good time was to come to my house to serve me the papers. i just laughed. if someone is going to serve court papers they are not going to tell you when they are. they want the element of surprise,lol. as far as i know they are crooks just trying to intimidate you thinking you will pay them something. another thing is that payday loans are illegal in many states. i live in new york state, where it it illegal. the courts will laugh if they tried to sue here. as for your case do not worry, you have passed the statue of limitations time. that they can sue you.  if they call again tell them you are going to report them for harassment, and hang up. thats what i did and never heard another word. hope this helps some.

I got a call at work about me oweing for a payday loan and the lady was just very weird they read out bank information and last four of social and said it was a loan from 2005 and even though I know 100% that I paid this back they are now calling my friends and family telling them they are going to serve me and file a lawsuit but the only call I received was at work only yesterday...I called my bank and in fact I have only been banking with them 4 years now and this loan is from 7 years ago which doesn't add up why they would say I have been charged and I had insuffient funds...how can we get rid of them is there anything we can do to report this?

I received a call from this company stating I owe a debt, the debt may actually be legitimate, however, the company they say I owe I've never heard of. They actually called my daughter's cell phone number asking for me which was very strange. I feel like if they have court papers to serve me, send me a certified letter and I'll pick it up from the post office myself. If I owe someone, I want to pay them, if there are really court papers out there, then I'll contact my attorney and have them go with me to court. I just feel like these so called "courier" people are not legitimate and if they are they definitely not abiding by the laws. This courier guy called me on my job!! He left me a message stating he was with a courier service and actually said this is a legal matter and you have been notified. He has no right to leave that kind of message on my work phone. Please, if anyone has information regarding this issue and/or if you determine it's not a real debt please let me know.

I was given this companies phone number by a courier who i guess didnt feel like doing his job or couldnt make it whatever the reason was....i called them out on a scam only to be served a affidavit from a company i received a loan from 4 and a half years ago..2 days later....pissed and angry that this company took no measures to show me they were actually going to send me to court. when i called them accusing them as not being a legit company they seemed to not care less what i thought..bad customer service.
